Drama is GOATED, but it still has it's flaws
This was trending all over my feed when this came out and i put it off from watching it and riding the hype train, since i still have a lot of shit to watch, so this is just something to keep as a treat because i know this is probably good and i know I'll probably love it and i must say... this will probably be my 2nd fave cdrama series next to Lighter & Princess.The drama is about the love story of a Fire Fighter, like okay i can get behind that occupation since i fancied that job when i was a toddler, and a Doctor literally the occupation that i mostly stay away from in dramas, like the medical aspect, but hey let's not judge the book by it's cover. Before this, i was watching 'The Longest Promise' and Wang Churan is in there and she's great, at first i didn't like her mainly because of her character, but later on i actually got invested in her and started to like her as an actress, so i promised myself to watch this show after cuz i wanna see this girl in other dramas.
The pacing in the first 5 episodes or so is fast like really fast because in every episode there's plot convenience for ML and FL in order for them to meet each other, i was planning to watch Episode 1 only as i was about to sleep and would plan to continue watching it the next day, but i ended up watching up until episode 4 xD. You can tell i was really hooked right away in the beginning because, even though the beginning is fast paced, i don't think that necessarily was a bad thing, because i think it was done to get your heart fluttering right away for this Couple, no bullshit here's the mains that your gonna follow, now get invested, unlike in some cdramas where the first 10-20 episodes literally half of the show is a very slow burn build up and you're just sitting there waiting when the show will start to tickle your heart and by the time it gets good there's a big chance that you've mostly fallen off because of boredom.
Then 6-20 ish or so the story started slowing down and took its time to flesh out the story, side characters, the fire fighting and medical aspect, and building up the family drama and i wouldn't say that part is where you'll get bored as it was done really really well because it's like you're playing a tug of war, they would pull you in these side plots and maybe every, now and then they would let go and show some interactions between ML and FL, like "Hey, we didn't forget that this is a love story about this two. This shit that we are building up is for the bigger picture of this whole story".
20-25 is where you'll get the payoff that you've been waiting and 26-38 is where our couple with face the problems of them being together, the family drama i would say. Now, the family drama was done really tasteful here, like this is one of the best examples of how to do a family drama without necessarily making the parents be very hateable characters and a good family drama on top of that too, i was surprised like when i got near the end i realized i actually did not bear any hatred for FL's Mom and Dad, well the dad is mostly passive in this show, but yeah, i didn't really have any hatred for the parents because they've explained their side to make you understand, why they would do these things, even though its wrong for them to do it, they care for FL so much that they would go for such lengths for her, but as good as the family drama is, i noticed they didn't really show how powerful her family's influence really are, like how deep does it go? They did show it, but i think that was just a taste of how deep the connections her family got. Then the last 2 episodes tie everything all together into a nice bow.
After watching this, i can see why some of the comments said this was unnecessarily long because if you look at the number of episodes they've actually hit the max episodes rule placed by the law and if you look at the whole show, the stories in it aren't well balanced. I think they were too focused on highlighting both the Fire Fighting and Medical aspect of this show, like what it's like to be in that occupation, the struggles and stakes that you'll encounter, that is good, i didn't mind it, but when i finished the show i'm like "Yep... okay... wait it ended? now i'm sad" because we didn't even get the wedding scene that they've been building up, nor a scene where ML shows up on FL's Family dinner which he has been saying for half of the show and maybe even a time skip scene where they have a child and they're finally a happy family. It was really funny because they still managed to shoehorn a typhoon part very late in the show and because of that we didn't get the wedding scene that we'd been expecting and I noticed the lacking of backstory in this drama, the way they do back story here, they would just show tidbits of it when a situation is can't be explained enough with just words, that's where they would insert a backstory and it's scattered throughout the series.
Let's talk about the side plots... some of the side firefighters got their own side plot around the middle and i was like "Okay?" that was really unnecessary and necessary at the same time because it actually had some effect later on in the story and poor Zhan Dapeng, i was wondering why he suddenly got his own character arc very late in the game, without knowing they'll actually kill him off the next episode. Yanchen and Yezi's side plot was so obvious from the start, i could see it from a mile away from the way yezi is being highlighted every time there's a bar scene and that side plot was really good because both of them got the character development they needed. Zhao Miao, i was wondering when she'll get her big moment aside from being an annoyance to her brother and sticking her nose in other's business, even tho she's ML's sister she's really passive throughout the show, later on, her side plot made a big 180 to Yanchen and his side plot with Yezi, which rippled through the Family drama and I was like "Wow.... I'm amazed". I was wondering if Xiao Yixiao and Jiang Yu would be the only side characters that would be left alone, but good thing they also got a good endgame later in the story.
The characters, i think all of them are good. I like Suo Jon a lot in the beginning, as he is ML's closest friend they really bounce off each other really well and their chemistry is off the charts whenever both are on screen, too bad he was taken out early in the story. I don't know why but Song yan or his actor Yang yang he's so goated here, but I noticed one thing that he does in this drama like every time he's given water or something to drink, expect it by the end of the scene he would almost finish it or if not drank it all up and the way he drinks has vibes as well, i don't think i've noticed that of him in 'The King's Avatar' i don't know, that is the only other show i've watched from Yang yang, but i just noticed that here and i find it really funny. Xu Qin too has that quirk where she would scratch her fingers or external objects and it really shows what she really is deep inside every time they would highlight it and every time she would meet her family members her spirit would immediately bend, which goes to show her persona towards them, in her family's eyes she is their little baby that they really have to protect and control, i also noticed her actress Wang Churan, her acting in here is somewhat lacking for me, every time she has a serious scene with Yang yang she can't match his energy emotionally, every time both of them are together on screen Yang-Yang's presence would dominate, i wouldn't say she's doing a bad job, it's good but i felt like it could've been better and the line delivery as well and can i just take a moment to appreciate for how pretty she is?? My god!! and she looks like Sullyoon from NMIXX at times as well, like i got a glimpse of if ever Sullyoon becomes an actress in the future. ML's parents or i must say, Aunt and Uncle, in most dramas the parents of either ML or FL are just there to be funny quirky, and maybe be an actual parents at times, but here they are actually good as Parents they're not just there passively to be funny, they are actually goated at giving the words that our couple needed.
And speaking of words, one of the things that i like in this drama is the usage of talking. the way they resolve problems with each of the characters here is through words, rarely you would see them using action to resolve a problem and i really like that about this drama.
The music in this drama, ooooohhhh.... my god! 10/10 Top tier, i think that's one of the things that sold me on this drama in the beginning because it's such an eargasm, especially that piano-violin combo plus a singer that's harmonizing in the background, ugh!!! I wanna find that ost, I think that's my favorite in this drama.
So yeah, although this drama is goated, it still has its flaws, but i highly HIGHLY recommend it, i noticed this is the 3rd drama that I've watched where it has that intro logo in the beginning and all of them really pop off another minor thing that i noticed.

Song Yan's Rescue Scene is the Best
I really loved the rescue scenes in this drama, where Song Yan showed his determination to rescue as many people as he could. For him, lives does matter. This drama also told so many ups and downs being a doctor and firefighter, which I appreciated a lot.When I watched the last episode, I suddenly teared up. I thought of a sentence, "In the end, the darkness will gone, and the sun will rise." Yan City after the storm, how the people, together, built their city again showed how we could pass all the difficulties, and in the end, everything would gonna be alright. This scene also showed the humanity, when even some not really likeable character can help the others.
Despite the very low rating on Douban (only 3.3) and so many controversies during its airing time, for me this drama is definitely a good watch.

RIVETING FIREWORKS…ROMANCE, TOO
Really enjoyed this show. Learned a lot about the life of a firefighter and how we take them for granted; that they have souls and hearts, too! Very dramatic fire scenes! Various levels of romance and emotional attachments. Liked the flow of Song Yan and Xu Qin’s relationship. Would loved to have seen Yan Chen’s character flushed out a little more, especially around the selection of a love interest. Show was well-written and directed; great acting and rhythm. Liked the intermingling of storylines, but think could have been told in fewer episodes. Held my attention throughout; however, the length of the show, makes it not Re watchable for me.Cet avis était-il utile?

Firefighting and romancing
I finished watching this drama yesterday. Few sub-plots seem to have been stolen from the show 'You are my Hero'. I liked it and found it watchable. However, what I didn't like about this drama is:1. Character development was pretty slow for the supporting cast. For example, the story of The big brother of our FL, XU QIN and the bar waitress girl could have been given a romantic angle, but it ended poorly by the good waitress girl gone bad, pressing molestation charges on him. In the last episode, however, they bring her for a scene, only to lead it nowhere. What a waste of character!
2. Too much adulation for fire fighters and their work. Well, no exaggeration. It was too much to handle. The city seems to be on fire and it's citizens in trouble all the time, all because firefighters have to rescue them. ?. In one of the episodes, a group of 4 firefighters go to a shop just to catch a spider. ?♀️
3. The story of Li meng and Jiyang yu never took off until a slight glimpse of their possible future romance in the last episode. Their romance could have been written and played during the show.
4. Why kill the Cute firefighter Da Peng when he was about to convince the girl, he was in love with, to be with him. This was totally unnecessary.
5. Yang Yang landing in hospital every now n then, only to be treated by our FL, XU QIN. C'mon! ?
6. I didn't understand the equation and understanding between FL and her brother with their parents. One moment, they're infuriated by their parents, and in the next moment they all are having dinner. One moment the big bro of our FL is leaving home, telling his mom that How terrible she has been as a mother, and in the next moment, they are sitting across from each other as if nothing at all happened.
7. There's a scene where our FL, XU QIN, leaves her Home n Car keys at her parents' home, as she decides to leave the house given to her by her parents. But next day, she's in that same home packing her belongings and getting ready to move. I wonder if she had an extra key.
Despite all this, there's a sensitive topic this drama has brought up, the emotional damage caused by the controlling and emotionally unavailable parents, and how children, inspite of being adults with successful careers, still feel controlled by their parents.

This is the C-Drama I Cried the Most So Far. They really work hard for this. Hopefully for those who want to watch this will continue to Support and Give Love for this Drama. I completed the Drama this is 101% and Highly Recommended, Although they were short for some scenes but they still have sweetness scenes. This Drama is so Matured I Love Them, I love how they act. Hopefully soon they have a S2 for this or Hopefully soon they will work again, Yang Yang and Wang Churan you are the best! Thank you for working hard to this Drama!! One of My TOP ALL TIME drama
The best drama in 2023, the plot the scene the acting aig yang yang and wang churan so amazing, i like how they interact each other their sad scene make me so sad, the pure love that song yan keep tu xu qin its so amazing. I love this drama so much guys so should watch it i cry a lot watch this drama. So this drama yang make great song yan the expression, the way he struggle for his job for his love, i love it. Wang churan make great xu qin al love song yan so much, i love they back to each other and stay together in this drama. Good casting.
I love how Yangyang portrays his role. I'm really mesmerized not just by his looks but the way he makes me believe that he is Song Yan. I can feel his pain as well as his happiness when they got back together. This is the first time I've watched Wang Churan. Though she portrayed her role well as a helpless, fearful, and obedient daughter, there might be too many scenes where she is like that. i loved it when she started fighting back for herself and her love. I wish it was sooner though rather than later in the series. I think she is a good actress. She has brought tears to my eyes in some scenes.Cet avis était-il utile?
How I got off the hate train for this drama
Im not new to girl chasing the boy storyline. There’s plenty of that on cdramas. The difference here is that she was the one who broke his heart 10yrs ago. And that’s why some people started a hate train on her and on the guy who’s brutally shutting her down. if Im being honest I WAS semi on the same train too.If it was the boy who left (even for a vague shallow reason) and is now pinning for the girl, I assure you, we would be ALL for it and even cheer him on. We’ll enjoy it together as she shuts him down over and over until she gives in.
But its the girl and people are annoyed. Because as much as we want a strong female character, we are still not used to a flawed ‘selfish’ one. We like our female lead who can do no wrong. Much better if she was wronged by everybody else including the male lead. We relate to that. But we dont want a girl begging attention from a boy whose heart she broke years ago.
That was interesting for me though. Dont get me wrong, I was annoyed of her too! There was one time when I was cheering the male lead on to get together with the second girl (the female firefighter). I was having the Itaewon Class dejavu where Im like - ‘just leave that girl and move on to the other one!’ The annoyance wasn’t enough for me to drop the story though. The flashbacks and ML’s obvious lingering feelings left me asking what happens next.
And Alas came Episode 10. My turning point. Drunk ZuQin bared her heart out. The line that hit me like a train - “I’m thinking about what I can do to make my parents not oppose us and not disown me as their daughter”. “Why would I walk towards you when I know if I do I will lose everything while you will still be just there standing” (rough translation). I cried because I saw her helpless. I personally felt it. It was never easy trying to please your parents and at the same time chasing your own happiness. I felt so bad for her. And thats when I started looking at her in a new light. Slowly, I was rooting for her.
It came easy for me to love this drama after that. I dont think its the perfect and best drama of all times but what got me going is the chemistry of the leads. Their eyes are talking even without words. I love how, as the show goes on, I see the male lead slowly softening and no more an angry wreck. I love all the supporting actors too. I love how they portray impactful rescue scenes. Especially the one rescuing the baby. I love the “HE IS MY LIFE” scene the most. Made me cry a ton.
Wang Churan is now slowly becoming one of my favorite Chinese actress. Yangyang I realize now is still my favorite chinese actor tie with Arthur Chen (though I dont follow both closely as I do with korean actors).
Now if you ask me why I rated it 8.5 and not higher it’s probably because I hoped that we saw more school days scene instead of other filler scenes. That could have helped me understand them better and avoided the misconception on both the leads.

Very good drama
Drama nya bagus, cerita nya menyentuh ep 1-10 sedih dan uda ntn 3x sambil tunggu eps selanjut nya karena on going. Eps 11-18 perkembangan karakter nya bagus dan saling menerima keadaan. overall ini drama recomended abis.Acting yang2 ga pernah mengecewakan, cuma liat mata nya uda tau apa yg dia rasain, sedih, bahagia, marah semua cukup liat dari mata nya. Pertama liat FL nya tapi so far acting nya juga oke.
Ost ep 10 luar biasa bagus, sampai puter dari pagi sampai tidur ga bosen, walaupun ga tau siapa yang nyanyi, tapi ost nya oke banget,
Pasti di nonton ulang sampai tunggu drama yang yang selanjut nya....

Xu Qin is still under her mother’s thumb despite being a hotshot doctor. Also, the push-and-pull games she plays on Song Yan would also make me exhausted, even just by watching. I could not understand how a character, who has so much sass when confronting her colleagues, becomes like a cowardly cat with her tails stuck between her legs when she goes home. It looked like Wang Chu Ran had only two speeds, and I was lulled to sleep with her flat delivery.
And what the fahk are all those coincidences? Am I supposed to believe that after years of not meeting each other, all of a sudden they cross paths like every five minutes??? Really?? Is Xu Qin the only doctor in the city??? Is Song Yan the only firefighter in that area??? And all the safety protocols they seem to abandon, just so they can get a love shot between the two, is just making me shake my head vigorously that I could have suffered from whiplash.
I only stuck around for Vin Zhang’s character, but after he left the Fire Dept, there was no more reason for me to hold on. Even Yang Yang’s pretty boy face could not make me watch this long, drawn out drama which is more like a PSA for the front liners. Yes, it was commendable that it portrays the livelihood of firefighters and doctors, and how they make decisions that save countless of lives. But it wasn’t enough for me to continue the story.

Why chinese people are not a fan of this drama
I heard that chinese people were very judgmental towards the drama and they rated it 3 out 10 which is so not fair ,just because of some things that were not justified . Before criticizing the drama we should first know that it was based on a book hence most of the directing was done accordingly . A drama is not the truth it is just for entertainment purpose then why are they taking it so seriously . I think the acting was worth, drama was fabulous and entertaining and it should be rated high in China . Disgust for the people who even let go their adopted child because of this drama . Skip it unless you have nothing at all to watch
Wow, okay where do we start with this one."Fireworks of my Heart" falls short in several aspects that hinder its overall quality. One of the major setbacks is YangYang's subpar acting skills, which become glaringly obvious throughout the drama. His performance fails to deliver the depth and nuance necessary to fully engage the audience.
Additionally, the chemistry between the male and female leads, surprisingly, falls flat. Their on-screen connection lacks the spark and believability required to captivate viewers, leaving a noticeable void in the romance aspect of the storyline.
The portrayal of the female lead's character can best be described as lacking intelligence. Her decisions and actions often defy logic, and it becomes challenging to empathize or root for her throughout the drama.
Technical flaws also mar the experience of watching this show. Basic hygiene factors and the technical requirements of the characters' professions are neglected, disregarding realism and making it difficult to suspend disbelief even for the sake of a drama.
As the drama progresses, it gradually becomes more tolerable, but by that point, the viewer is likely only continuing to watch due to the significant investment of time already made.
For those seeking a similar plotline executed with better acting and attention to detail, I highly recommend "A Date with the Future." This alternative drama offers a more fulfilling and satisfying viewing experience.
In conclusion, "Fireworks of my Heart" fails to deliver on multiple fronts, including acting, chemistry, attention to detail, and character development. It ultimately falls short of its potential and leaves viewers longing for a more engaging and well-crafted drama.
