A midst a snowstorm of emotions and possibly a manic episode
This drama starts off sweet, and fluffy... Aloof boy falls in love with a girl they eats, sleep, look at scenery, train, repeat there is not much plot but its is an easy watch that is nice to look at.Living in a nordic country myself I really enjoyed watching my c-fluff in a culture and setting close to the one I live in (even if they might have made a few mistakes). With the added bonus that most of the non Chinese he people where shwen to be friendly.
After a while the boy who is supposedly poor manages to spin of surprising the girl with grand gestures, flights here and there, the boy pretty much never sleeps all signs of a manic episode... There is also a bunch of not so secret following(slight stalking), helping from behind the scenes and misshaps... with a HUGE amount of patriotism, the Chineese are the best, morals, morals as far as the eye can see and the usual propagande those of us who enjoy c-fluff have gotten used to ignoring.
And from then on the red flags of Chine keep adding up and all the sweet and fluffy potentially green flags that they tried to sell off in the beginning where long gone... A process those who have been in not so good relationships can relate too, but here sold off as oh so sweet, normal and mostly romantic, even if they do throw in a few good lines here and there.
That said the female lead rocks, she is amazing in every single way, relatable, fun, smart, talented... Fine she fell in to the dudes trap, but that only shows us that bad ass women fall too... But by the end of it I was hoping she would run away and start an ICE 9 ball cult up north somewhere.
Oh they also play a lot of snooker and 9 ball...
So to sum it up, I would recommend you watch the first 10 or 15 episodes for the fluff, but do not expect any plot and just ignore the other half of the show...
P.s there are no annoying side characters

The perfect leads for a beautifully made drama!!
Very rarely you come across dramas that just blows you away like this one did. From the beginning till the end, I was enthralled… I usually skip scenes when bored but that didnt happen with one. I was smiling the whole time I was watching it. Its one of those dramas that can make you happy. The cast was amazing. The ML was just perfect for the role… visually stunning and from get go I swear i fell for his eyes. The FL was just adorable.. not your usual simpering female .. so smart and confident. its romance and heart tugging
the male leads chemistryits something that u can rewatch ..their story is just so right with the right amount of career goals couple goals..and pure mush,,tugged my heart...the supporting characters the female leads sweet swnsitivity and well brought up strong persona;ity is potrayed so well and the male lead jouney from being lost to getting to be focussed with a proper path to life...so well defined

STOP overthinking and watch it already, you WILL NOT regret it
Okay, just to show you all how good this is, I have to say that this is my first ever review after 4 years of watching dramas. I simply have to write one, because I feel genuinely sad for the people who have not seen this yet.First of all, I have to say that I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE the cast and the way they play their roles, it's just perfect. You could really feel their love with so much intensity. This drama had me squealing, giggling and rolling in my bed non stop. I fell deeply in love with both the leads and all the other cast. They all made this drama so much more wholesome.
I think that their relationship in the beginning is sooooo cute and sometimes cringy and you get immediately immersed. However, as the show goes on they develop such a beautiful relationship, that I hope something like this could exist in reality. They go through very good times, but also very bad times and you can see how much they support each other in everything. It's so HEARTWARMING.
I gave the story only a 9 because it's not a really complex plot but I don't think more is needed honestly. It's simple but perfect at the same time, I think it just suits everything else about this drama.
I'm giving the music a 9'5. It's so good and there are certain parts that stayed in my head so much that I'm listening to it even in my free time. I think it really goes perfectly with the flow of the drama and it made me very emotional in the right moments. Very good.
And lastly I need to emphasise on the rewatch value of this. It's CLEARLY and UNDOUBTEDLY a 1000. I did not make a mistake, it's a 1000. Its been a week since I watched this show, and I have tried watching other 3 dramas that are not making me satisfied in the least, because there is simply no point in even comparing them to this one. It's too good. That's why I'm back here writing my first ever review, and that's also the reason why I'm about to watch it again, even though it has only been a week since I watched it. I am SO EXCITED.

This is a story of having a supportive family and real friends. Their love for each other is so genuine and pure. And the visuals of the cast are undeniably amazing.The love story of Lin Yiyang and Lin Guo shows that being in a long-distance relationship works.
I hope that there will be someone like Lin Yiyang in real life.

Drama with no story
To summarize this drama: food, kisses, cuddles, and matches against overly friendly competitors where the Main Leads obviously win.The storyline lacks depth and progression. Even if you skip a few episodes, you won't miss anything as the plot remains stagnant throughout. The repetitive nature of each episode, with the Main Leads romancing in almost every scene, makes it feel like the drama could have been completed in just 8 episodes. I regret wasting my time watching it.

Cinematography, Production and Acting makes this drama the best of 2024
beein watching this drama, and I have been obsessed with the scenes and cinematography. Usually, with cdramas once FL and ML start dating, the storyline becomes less attractive, and I usually drop it. But this drama!! despite the cheesiness and all those lovey dovey stuff, it has me watching scene by scene. And the biggest reason for this is mainly the director’s work (no I’m not dissing the scriptwriter in any way). So, for anyone who thinks is it worth watching? yes it is, but if you can’t stand too much cheesiness, then maybe you won’t like it after ep 12 lolCet avis était-il utile?
Comforting drama
Personally I really enjoy a drama that's just about the main couple. This drama is a dream come true for me. A healthy relationship with no miscommunication . No third party is involved in the couples relationship which I really adore. On the other hand every character in this drama even the side actors seem to want the couple together which I personally do not complain as that's what I wanted to see. But if you are someone who would like to see extreme jealousy love triangles or this might just be a little too plain for you. But for me this drama is amazing.Cet avis était-il utile?
Very Slow Drama
I have to admit that I had a tough time with this drama. I have read the positive reviews and seen the ratings and I tried my best to enjoy it. Whilst it was generally alright, I find the pace very slow and the story mediocre. There didn't seem to be any highpoint in the story. I fell asleep many times as it was so slow moving. Honestly I just started this dram with no expectations I haventttt binged any drama like I binged this one !!! Omg Im in love with the whole cast. The couple is just amazing but the 2nd lead actors/actresses did an amazinggg jobbbb. I cant believe that majority of the cast was young but they DELIVERED 💯 & did NOT Disappoint! Such a great drama and acting
their acting is top tier very natural, and detail love the snooker scenes and skinships .the story lines is very smooth and love how lin yiyang act of language .lin yiyang is not green flags but golden forest in cdrama .FL acting is natural and doesn't need to act cute.i really love the 'bromance' friendship in this drama. the cinematography is so pretty, melodrama is not my genre but this drama makes me stuck ..every episode make me sweating.Cet avis était-il utile?
