Cutesy way to start the year

Sweet Teeth is such a cute drama. I really love how all the leads are very bearable and not super toxic, unlike other Cdramas. I also love the growth of each character as each FLs and MLs showcases the different type of people and their way of perceiving life.

Although, what bothered me the most about this drama is the blatant ignorance towards Africa and how they kept linking diseases to the African nations. I feel like it may be the propaganda that China may have, but that part of the show made me skip as I felt uncomfortable with it. What they did is basically the same as associating Covid with China. LIke come on please, writers do better. That was really disappointing, I thought we are over associating people/countries/places with certain diseases. Honestly, I would have given this show a solid 9/10 but because of this issue, I took a star off.

As for everything else, I really liked it! So watch this drama at your own discretion!

Lovely and sweet

A sweet, age appropriate drama which is a relatively quick watch. It will give you many joyous moments. Three female best friends with refreshingly different career choices and how their love lives pan out. It may take initial 4 to 5 episodes before you start to enjoy their friendship and bonding. Gradually the three couples will become really likable due to the way issues are resolved with minimal conflict.

It was much better in many aspects compared to usual C- dramas. For e.g they tend to be super long, don’t show emotional depth, tons of side characters which are usually very boring, screeching females who rarely behave according to their age, super bad hair and clothing style for women, fish kisses worse than K dramas etc.

Some really tough issues were resolved with genuine love, understanding and letting go of one’s ego. All three couples were so pretty to look at. What made me truly happy was better body language despite fish kisses. There were quite a few such lovely moments.

If you are missing being silly with your best friends or sisters, then this would make you relate to them. I loved the premise of lead couple romance started with both of them being avid book readers. The back ground music score was so lovely and made you feel as if you are floating on a cloud.

Few tiny issues may be overlooked for e.g. the dental physician had a romantic relationship with FL who was his patient, love triangle etc.

I strongly recommend it to heal your heart from heavy dramas.

Different types of sweet love

This is a story that is about romance as much as it is about friendship. We have classic setup of 3 best friends with different personalities, and their respective pairing. The couples are
1) The typical 傻白甜 (silly, innocent, sweet) librarian Zeng Li paired with the straight laced and serious dentist Ai Jing Chu
2) Boyish Dr. Wu Ying with a 6 years younger university student Liu Yu Cheng
3) Influencer, sexy Ma Yi Yi on an off-on relationship / chemistry with entrepreneur playboy Deng Hao Ran

The story explores 3 different types of relationship pairing dynamics, as well as the friendship that the characters build and share with each other. There isn't anything novel about the plot or script - in fact, the classic meet-cute between Zeng Li and Ai Jing Chu is like your everyday rom-com scene. Nothing you have not watched before if you are a veteran in the rom-com genre.

What makes this series a slight cut above the other rom-com I watch is the friendship that 3 ladies share, as well as the exploration of 3 types of different pairings in 1 story. The acting of the leads are good too, considering the cast veer on the younger side.

Although, if I am allowed to nitpick one thing, it would be the title of this series. This series is original adaptation from a novel named "A Speck Amid the Dust of the World". I don't know what makes the production team decide on the name Sweet Teeth for the drama adaptation of it. Primarily because to me, the teeth and main lead's occupation as Dentist were only plot devices for Zeng Li and Ai Jing Chu to meet and get to know each other. As the story progresses, I barely even remember Zeng Li was forced to get braces or that Ai Jing Chu is a dentist.

The real message that I feel this story wants to portray is - in this vast world, my life becomes meaningful after I met you. And they (cast and production team) did well.

SWEET LIKE THE NAME TELLS US!

This was the one which didn't give me the curiosity of what will happen next, personally I watched it according to my convinence unlike the other C Dramas(where I would skip the side stories of the other characters ...if not interesting and affix myself to the ML and FL .... complete the WHOLE IN A DAY OR TWO). I should really do this to all dramas cause I forget about my surrondings(as I feel like I m IN A DIFFERENT WHORLD) my studies etc and binge watch.

I liked both the SHY male lead and the CUTE female lead. As the story went on there was build-up of the characters and the male lead suddenly became quite bold and comfortable. I was also interested in the story line of the other two couples ...they were okaish n not outstanding...more engrosed on the centre story line. The story line of the drama was fine ( otherwise I would have left it midway).Dentist Ai Jing Chu ( Bi Wen Jun) was the most handsome professor at Donghu University. University librarian Zeng Li (Wu Xuan Yi) was forced to go to the dentist to put on braces (which she was fearful of than anything!!) by her mother as she felt that her teeth were at fault... where she met Jing Chu and this meeting started on a wrong foot due to some misunderstanding.

I wouldn't rewatch the drama! As I feel it isn't that interesting to go through it again!
The only problem that I faced was the converation or the gossiping among the three besties at their own cafe ( so interesting to start a cafe with besties!!!I feel like doing so...).As they talked a little faster lol I had to pause it to read the subtitles which otherwise I m quite good at. That's something which comes after watching numerous dramas.

I don't understand why they bought the SML (whom Fl had a crush onn) so late in the drama, ofcourse it did't stir up many things.ML was friends with SML and he knew that FL had feelings for him as he had mistakenly read the letter sent by her....
I did'nt get the second lead syndrome ( he is quite handsome tho....Ming god from falling into your smile).
Rather, I started feeling bad for our conserved ML who had a very sad personal story. Talking about the upbringng of the FL ....she had a very dangerous one! her mother was one nutcase! OKAY! I UNDERSTAND CIRCUMSTANCES MAKES IT HAPPEN BUT, WHATEVER...One satisfaction that I had was she was n good terms with her Ex-step dad and Ex-step brother LOL. I also wanted to address that the ML's aunt was freaking young and grandpa was so chill. I liked em.

-THE SECOND COUPLE-

The typical age gap one.....Liu Yu Cheng(Zhai Xiao Wen) chases Wu Ying (Baby Zhang) so badly LOL. When did he get the time to study???? When did he learn chinese medicine???? and when does he attend his classes- like bro you need to stop flaunting that being a malasian guy, Yu Cheng had interest in chinese medicine( he is also from falling into your smile and I did get a liking to himm even tho he didn't end up with the FL)
The older one in this couple is the female,,Wu Ying is cold doctor and always refuses requests of Yu Cheng and his sweet talks as she treats him like a child. Wu Ying grows fonder when she gets to know that Yu Cheng is absolutely amazing in playing online games. So they keep meeting often as she likes to win and he is the one who would play for her and cause of major crush he just wants to spend time with her. Their first meeting was also quite great as he fell in love at first sight and also got me interested in watching their character development and the story line.

-THE THIRD COUPLE-
I wasn't expecting much about them and I didn't quite get them I...Deng Hao Ran (Liu Te) here is our FL's step-brother. He is a great brother. He gets involved in the talks between these three which ends up being comical.... he is a hilarious guy. Ma Yi Yi (Wan Zi Lin) is a social media influencer, amazing friend(there is always the one with dating advices) and she is very outgoing person who just wants to be in a relationship with someone(desperate). She finds someone she likes and he looks a bit sus , I was like he is completely fake....She doesn't end up with him . Deng Hao Ran is jealous n uk why... cause he was her Ex. and they get back together LIKE WHAT!!. The best friends also didn't knew that until very laterr....Their story is slow paced as it took them long long long time to realise that they still love each other. I think it was the second last episode or third last one.

The drama ended on a good note...the surprise by the ML was also great....and it was satisfactory ...it was the wedding scene of the second lead couple and LMAO when the other two friends were crying for their bestie (happy tears :))) it is quite memorable scene.... all the scenes b/w ML and FL were cute.
The scene were the FL confessed her feelings for the ML was also my favorite one to watch... cause we were all awaiting for her to tell him as somewhere they both knew they liked each other. my fav fav scene was the drunk kiss as she thought that ML was a teddy bear and she wanted to drink coffee but the ML our typical dentist told her not to... as she had retainers..The ML didn't like coffee but was forced to taste it LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
The title is so suitable as the drama is about a dentist and the whole encounter of the ML and FL was cause he was a densist and a sweet love story ofcourse.

Romantic and light series

In the first episodes, the choice of humor with exaggerated acting is a bit painful. Fortunately, there is a excellent cast (ML, Bi Wen Jun, really handsome and excellent actor) even if the FL is quite annoying (ignorant, hesitant).

The second half where the Comedy aspect is more subtle, is therefore much more pleasant. However, we find all the classic twists: age gap, ▲ lovers, pressure to marry, ignorance of feelings, etc.

+++ The CL = dentist / librarian has good chemistry. But I think Wu Xuan Yi's playing a little stiff (few micro-expressions)
+++ The 2 secondary romances with the best friends are also well described and detailed.
+++ Excellent OSTs

### Too many flashbacks which slows down the pace

=> A good drama, not memorable, but nice for a rainy day.

Dans les 1e épisodes, le choix de l'humour avec acting exagéré, est un peu pénible. Heureusement, il y a un TB casting (ML really handsome) même si la FL est assez agaçante (ignorante,hésitante).

La suite où l'aspect Comédie est plus subtil, est donc beaucoup plus agréable. On y retrouve pourtant tous es twists classiques : age gap, ▲ amoureux, pression vers mariage, ignorance des sentiments, etc.

Le CL = dentiste / bibliothécaire a une bonne alchimie.
Les 2 romances secondaires avec les ++ amies, sont également bien décrites et détaillées.

Un bon drama, pas mémorable, mais sympa.

A Slow Burn Romance

I came across this drama, because I've taken a fancy with chinese medical dramas lately. This drama is really a slow burn one, when Zeng Li and Ai Jingchu slowly getting known each other. The first episodes, for me, is still okay, where both of them interacted like a newly fell in love teenagers. They were shy and cared for each other.

I watched it until the end, but I can't bear the last remaining episodes. This drama, like any other typical chinese dramas always ended their problems with drinking, tbh I did't like this way of resolving problems. Like, they had misunderstanding, okay? Why did Ai Jing Chu had to be drunk rather just confessed his feelings. Zeng Li also had so many childish behaviour, when she was already 26, a bit unbearable for me.

But overall, the story was really sweet. I loved how both of them are so compatible, and how Ai Jingchu cared and loved Zeng Li. Other couples are so cute, too. They had their own love story, which I enjoyed despite some flaws.

Watch this for a rush of sweetness. MUST WATCH

The drama started with a cliche that can turn off many people. However, if you watch through the first 2 episodes, you will start to like the story. It's a story of three girls who are around 26 and 27 and how they start to feel insecure as they age and eventually find their love. Generally in dramas, the ML in them are cold and arrogant to the FL and their relationships take a lot of time to build up. However, the ML here is a bit aloof to others but isn't rude or arrogant. Instead, he is very sweet and gentlemanly. Their relationship starts to build up by ep4, so you won't be bored throughout this series. It's not much slow-paced and a good watch. I like the stories of other friends as well, especially Wu Ying. That guy is so soft, I was literally crying while watching their wedding scene. The story was not much different from many dramas but the good acting of the cast definitely made it better. And since the episodes were fewer, it was boring for me.

sweet love story

This drama is about sweet love story of first love & friendship.

What I like:
+ Really like Yu Yi (YY). He is really one good gentleman & friend. Really like how he is one rational men who never insistent of love.
+ The other couple are feel so natural to be together.
+ There isn't excessive love.
+ The pacing of this drama doesn't feel too fast, considering this only 22ep drama. Everything write perfectly for the timeline.
+ Love the soundtrack

Overall this is really good drama that deserve to be watch. Opportunity is like YY love to Zeng Li (ZL), once you missed it never can get it anymore, so you must hold it when you have the chance.

So sweet~ Hurts my teeth~

What a delightful gem of a drama! The story is very well paced and rarely ever dragged. Even better, it's short and sweet at 22 episodes.

I love how the three couples get just the right amount of screen time. Their distinct romances, personalities, and plot lines were very interesting too. I've had dramas I loved marred by horrible secondary couples (looking at you, Under the Power), so having not one but two extra couples that only added to the drama?? Amazing. Also, this drama is FUNNY. I found myself cackling at max volume more times than I'd like to admit.

My only tiny gripe is with the ML's acting. I found myself pulled out of the moment at times because his emotional display felt off. Maybe it's not him and it was the directing or editing, but certain moments that were supposed to be romantic just didn't hit the right spot for me. I don't know, maybe I'll change my mind if I ever rewatch. Again, it's only a minor thing that doesn't change my overall satisfaction (especially when he's so DANG CUTE when he smiles).

I also appreciate how the drama was really poignant at times, showing us the realities of being in or out of a relationship. And as always, I love me a good angst-free drama. There were times where it went there a little, but it was all justified and quickly resolved in an (mostly) adult manner.

If you're looking for some hearty laughs, a feel-good cry, and the sweet taste of love, I would say give this drama a shot. I felt like I was saying goodbye to dear friends when I finished.

Awesome drama

I don't know why people are giving less rating but i personally can say it's really a good drama than the overwhelming male lead, its very cute and sweet no cliches and not only main leads but other side couples too i like them especially i love the age gap couple love story the guy acting was so so sco cute i don't know how is he in real life but seriously i also need such type of cute guy than matured and serious guy but still he pulled his responsibility very well till the end with a girl he loved and other couple who were flirting with other people is now a reality based story most of then experience it its good to be in reality and comes to main couple its good no fights nothing just a sweet lovey dovey couple which we all like overall i really liked this drama actors, story was really great hence giving 9.5 but they could put more episodes with some spicy things like other cdrama with 35 episodes anyway happy for the cute and simple story
