Unnecessary Drama

I understand there needs to be something causing conflict but honestly... Itt's being a little too difficult/stupid for me to believe right now. This feels like the same thing that happened in the previous episode, which doesn't make sense because their relationship should be stronger now that they've been through conflict and resolved it. In a way, this whole episode undermines what they've been through in the past, exposing that the character growth the viewers thought they were seeing was really just an illusion. Beyond that, it's insane to me that even Itt's best friend sees that Pai is a good guy and Itt just chooses to stay blind. And the earring thing! Very frustrating to me that Pai doesn't just explain why it's important to him, and that Itt doesn't have any idea what's going on. I guess they're going to resolve this whole thing through jealousy or something from the new character who was introduced briefly - I find him intriguing but I think he's just going to be used as a plot device to get the two main characters together. I am still looking forward to next week's episode but this one was a bit of an unnecessary downer, in my opinion.
