Fun guilty pleasure bursting with chemistry!
Nowadays, most dramas don't have much originality, therefore there must be *something* that makes it enjoyable and worthwhile. The main leads are this *something*. It's easy to come by pretty people in entertainment, but they have that intangible chemistry and adorable quality that makes them perfectly matched and special.The story has been done thousands of times, but with these two, I just keep smiling at their cuteness. Wang Ziqi sells "heads over heels in love" with his smoldering eyes. The actor's innate adorkableness makes people enjoy Yin Sichen's arrogance, bossiness, childishness, and vulnerabilities. It's funny how "girls' dream lover" was initially a silly narcissistic moniker but it turns out quite accurate by the end.
Wang Yuwen is sweet and cute without being annoyingly over the top. Gu Xixi is kind-hearted but also smart, playful and resourceful. Even though the drama had the typical 2nd leads trying to break them up, it wasn't too annoying because YSC and GXX were dedicated to each other, always loving and supportive.
The series isn't anywhere near perfect. The other couple was weak and I fast forwarded through them and 2nd leads. GXX's father and grandmother were terrible, but luckily not in many scenes. Her mother was so awesome, I wish they included her in the final fashion show. Why wasn't she there? One of my favorite scenes was the dinner with YSC, GXX and her mother. Simple family warmth. Wang Ziqi has a great filial vibe he injects into his characters. The quiet sweet scene of YSC and GXX star gazing after was also lovely.
It wasn't the funniest Rom Com, but had really laughable moments. Torturing each other with their cringy PDA, YSC's face during the horror movie, and anytime he was jealous... The bubble tea still has me snickering.
Yeah, on paper, it certainly has more negative points than positives. But in execution, this series has this addictiveness that makes me giddy and keep watching this delightful pair.

cliche on cliche on cliche
this drama was full of cliches, but even then i thought it was pretty cute. xixi was very cringe though and that made me hate watching sometimes bc i get secondhand embarrassment. sichen was possessive and that weirded me out. zixin pissed me off bc he couldn’t take a hint and it’s like stop trying atp… xiwei was the most annoying bc it’s like girl you are embarrassing yourself like please stoooooop.this was good in terms of a show and relationship cuteness bc they were a cute couple. but i don’t think id rewatch lol.

Cliche, but fun and engaging watch.
This series was your typical contract marriage storyline with the reason for the marriage being ridiculous to start and the leads being completely at odds with each other. You also have the annoying and creepy interlopers who try and win the leads for themselves and thus don’t know when to cut their losses and move on. But outside of the typical cliches this was actually very good.First off, the leads had amazing chemistry. They did a great job making me believe everything they were going through, whether they were at odds with each other, playing jokes on each other or being completely in love, I bought it. They felt like a real couple.
Secondly, I like that both leads had their own lives and careers before and after they fell in love. Though they loved each other deeply, neither only lived for a relationship with the other, which is rare in a lot of these romance dramas. They both had their own career aspirations and goals, in addition to their desire to have a life together.
Third, the business story which was the foundation of the series was actually pretty good, which again is rare in these dramas. Yes, it was ridiculous that Alex would require XiXi and Yi Chen marry before the contract with Marry Me went into affect, but all the other storylines surrounding the business made sense and worked well.
Fourth, the secondary romance was cute and believable, which again is rare in these dramas. It didn’t feel forced and I actually enjoyed it immensely.
Lastly, the romance was cliche but was very well done. I liked that they did things to help each other from a genuine place, before and after they fell in love. I liked that despite all the struggles they went through they never broke up, but ended up working through the issues together. I liked Mo Zixin in the beginning, but he started to become creepy about halfway through the series. Never understood why he just didn’t ask XiXi out after he gave her a ride to the party in the first episode. His subsequent behavior bordered on being stalkerish and was very creepy, especially when he always seemed to pop up everywhere XiXi showed up. His whole purpose was ridiculous being that he’d come looking for her, deeming her the love of his life, due to her being kind to him when they were kids, which is a cliche I detest in these shows. And then there was XiWei who was the very cliche female who feels like the male lead was hers for the taking and that they belonged together even though he’d shown zero romantic interest in her in the 20 years they’d known each other. She was simply there to cause trouble. Though I must say, the trouble she caused was interesting and worked to push the story forward.
The show was not perfect, there were a few scenes and character decisions that didn’t make sense, but overall it was a really good series.

Another contract cum fake marriage turned true romance & marriage
This cdrama is very typical contract cum fake marriage between the ML & FL. The ML is very successful, good looking yet arrogant & bossy guy. The FL is as usual an average girl who tries to achieve her dreams as a fashion designer. In the midst both cross path & forced to be together.Pro's :-
1) The chemistry & sparks between the ML & FL are good.
2) If ones love romcom with high sugar & sweetness then this cdrama fits in this category.
3) Considered short with total of 24 episodes with average of 40 mins/episode.
4) This cdrama can be a filler while waiting for long ongoing cdramas.
5) The ending OST is very mesmerizing. I like this song & singer voice. Even the lyrics are very meaningful.
Con's :-
1) The supporting FL or 2nd FL - her role was really horrible. She can goes all the way trying to break the main couple relationship. This is the reason why I start to slow down watching it.
2) The supporting ML or 2nd ML - his role was too kind & understanding. Total very different from the 2nd FL role. Over here, he is being very supportive & caring towards FL. Even though he knew FL earlier than ML but he doesn't stand a chance to win over the FL heart compared to others cdramas which always featured ML knew the FL earlier.
3) The ML role from an arrogant & bossy role suddenly change 360 degree like a smitten kitty when he is falls head over heel for the FL. I feel ML should be himself & not transform to someone else due to deep love towards FL.
4) Then the 2nd couple that is ML bestfriend who is a player & falls in love with his staff. This couple chemistry is not as good as the main couple.
5) Even though this cdrama is considered short with total of 24 episodes it keeps on repeating on how FL was being harmed or framed for being together with the ML which I find it over-doing. Personally I don't know why the FL still choose to be with the ML when she has to go to hell & back relationship perhaps this is what we called dramatic.....
Overall this cdrama is watchable but if you were to ask if I would re-watch it then my answer is NO. I might Google search for the last OST song & listen to it repetitively but not re-watching the whole drama.

Very cliche, not memorable yet cute and fluffy
If you are into dramas that keep you on your toes and have waiting for the next scene, this is not the drama for you. But if you are up for a storyline you have seen over and over again with lots of kisses in the romance department. Then this is the drama for you. The acting was good. So if you love adorable,cute, fluffy, steamy kiss romance, this is the drama for you.In terms of character development not so much effort in that effort.

Same old same old
Nothing new.. same old same old childish tactics.... male chauvinist pig eventually in love... and then in between the story there are just plain silly no common sense misunderstanding.... so standard text book plot... was it a textbook they must use.. ? ? ? ..Then there is always a b%tch in between them... ? ? ? ?.I just hope Chinese writers can have better and new ideas.... so bl**dy lame.
It seems that it is pretty standard that 24 episodes are the minimum.... ? ? ?...

Carefree and light hearted drama
You can easily get all the plot from the trailer, but it is so easily engaging that it doesn't really matter. The leads are really good, the level of sweetness is very high and you can really catch the idea of a naive woman in love with a more business-like man who soften along the way.There's the neverending list of stupid falls for the FL, but it's all well built to entertain the viewer and make me fell more confident realizing that even in my dream i could't be this clumsy. Go watch it, it will surely ease a tough day.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP. SWEETNESS. DESPITE CLICHES, LEARNING WHAT TRUE LOVE IS
This drama caught me totally by surprise. I started it out of curiosity because of the MV, and i ended addicted to it. Even though it differs from the original novel, it was very very good. It's the classic contract marriage Cinderella clichè, but with some surprises and not totally clichè. I really liked the leading couple. Wang Zi Qi as Yin Sichen was OUTSTANDING, a cold and overbearing CEO... and a rolling cute bear. I really loved his character development. He does not change completely, but he has no fear to show his weak side anymore. He's the overbearing CEO, but at the same time the jealous and a bit immature adult man deeply in love.Wanyg Yuwen as Gu Xi Xi was simply perfect. She's not strong and not so weak. She learns to be stronger and brave in love.
Their chemistry is really eyecatching and overwhelming. I don't complaing about XiXi's style, since everyone forgets her background.
I quite liked the second pairing, they are cute in their own way but very very at side. Sichen's assistand steals the thunder when he shows, he's charming.
I really hated both second leads. They are very obsessive. Mo Zixin is an obsessive stalker who does not give up, and hides his manipulative side behind a facade of the gentleman. How awful. Ran Xiwei is even worse. Obsessed like crazy, she has no shame in using tricks.
GRANDMA AND MOTHERS FOR THE BEST AHAHAHAHAHA
I really loved it, well-made clichè are so perfect to watch.
Really recommended if you want something light, heartwarming, but with a wink of important topics.

Chokingly cheesy, but rewatchable
This is kinda drama that I would binge-watch on spare time because the story is so light, I wouldn't have to think. But hear me the pros & cons...Cons:
1. Super cheesy love story.
2. Love chemistry between couples are not great.
3. Predictable
4. The soundtrack is typical. Not kinda song that makes you eagerly want to collect
Pros:
1. FL has talent & many positive traits. I always cringe when C drama brought a pretty-do nothing-dumb-always mess up kinda FL. But Xixi pictures a working girl with on point thinking and solves her mistakes with dignity
2. ML could act cutish. Most drama pictures ML as a cool-godly man from start to end. But Sichen could act childish once learned Xixi loves him back.
3. Female take serious lead here. From XiXi, Ruona, Grandma, Mrs. Yin senior, even the scheming XiWei. Makes you nod for the women.
In the end, OWGT is light and enjoyable with a mug of coffee or bunch of popcorn.

Great acting from Male Lead
Storyline wise we have nothing new here. We saw it before: contract marriage and you fall in live. Nothing new.However, I surprisingly really really enjoyed it.
I really love the male lead’s acting skills.
I love how I can see his indifference gradually turn into attraction then internal denial to falling in love and finally acknowledging his love.
It made the love from his side feel very intense and real!!
I cannot say so for the female lead. I’m not saying her acting skills are bad, just that couldn’t feel the love from her side as strong as from the male lead.
I also love how when they are finally truly together, there is actually a strong trust and healthy relationship!!
For me, that is actually divine.
I love how there is that trust but also how every time the antagonist girl try to force herself on the ML, he isn’t pitying on her or going easy. He full on stops her!! I really admired that indifference he has for her.
I feel this is one of the reason why the drama really captivated me. He meant only business from her and made it clear and had no sort of pity or compassion for her. His looks for her was very very cold. Yet when he looks at the FL, you feel drown in love. I will definitely watch more drama of his♥️♥️

Definitely a must watch RomCom
The drama is highly recommend to watch. RomCom cohabitation. ??The Ml is experiencing spring time haven't had his first love yet. Cold and narcissistic but strangely nice. And wen this little creep called L O V E came hitting him he became Little childish and silly in front of his CRUSH to get her attention.
Stealer of the series Granny/nana she is really funny and adorably cute sweet and nice. Matchmaker for the ML FL. She could be really silly plotting something for the couple clever nana.
The only thing looks really bad is the 1st female support third party pooper she acts psycho and crazy about the ML. Well duh, the ML FL are still married legally even they're living contracts. Throughout the series shes annoying.

A recommended romcom drama to watch
First ,this is contract marriage based romcom drama. I prefer these type of dramas. In this drama actually the cast do a excellent job except for second lead couple's boy. He does a good job but he can't express emotions well. He seems to be more childish than the second female lead (his girlfriend ).Second, I don't usually find faults in dramas. If the plot is nice then I watch it. Because dramas are for enjoying and mind relaxing.So even if there are faults it won't matter. So I don't mind what others say about this drama. According to me the story is very good and the cast have nailed it. Specially Wang Zi Qi and Wang Yuwen. They are really great and have a superb chemistry. I wish that they would get another modern drama again as main leads. And the guy who acts as yin sichen's secretary ,he is also great.
As an overall , I recommend this drama to watch because it's worth to watch.
