After the party, Si Chen secures a partnership with Alex, where only his stores can sell the wedding gowns. As a result, Xi Xi is unable to get a gown from Alex to sell to her “buyer”. Their fabricated coupling at the party becomes the trending topic. Si Chen capitalizes on the free publicity whilst Xi Xi is forced to find other means to get her dress.
