inconsistent character

I'm talking about Bixi. Although he's just a minor character, he struck me as a wise and upright character with a mission to protect life and the people. I'm under the impression that he can distinguish right from wrong and would not easily be deceived and enticed by evil, because his strong sense of morality and justice stood solid when FL tried to steal his treasure (the tower). He insisted on protecting it with his life and was willing to kill anyone trying to steal it for evil purpose until he learned about FL's good intention. Yet he compromised with Wuhuan knowing she's evil just because of her fake deal and lie. Now he becomes someone stupid who has bad judgment and can't tell right from wrong, which is the complete opposite of his previous character. He's just a one-dimensional character whose purpose is for plot device, because the character writing for him is so glaringly flawed.
