Both are based on novels by Priest. They are bromance dramas with the genre Adventure.
While Word of Honor is more Mystery, Guardians of the Lands have the genre of Fantasy.

* Both dramas have same type of characters. Dong Fang Qing Cang - the Moon Supreme Lord - in 'Love Between Fairy and Devil' and Wen Kexing - Chief of Ghost Valley in 'Word of Honor' are very strong characters with pitiful childhood and destine to become the most evil in their world.
* Both dramas have great story, interesting plots, good acting, beautiful costumes and visual.

Both drama deal with the topic of the secret identity of one of the main leads who tries his best to be with the mc despite everything. Heavy on the chemisty and flirting but where Love Better Than Immortality can be toxic, Word of Honour deals with evetything in such a subtle and responsible manner. The main similarity for me lies with the roles of Shangguan Qiu Yue and Wen Ke Xing.

both about a mysterious artefact to do with the martial arts world. both dramas have amazing fight scenes and they merge comedy and action well. This artefact the character think that they can rule the martial arts world if they have it but it's not what everyone expects it to be in the end.

Good-looking cast + bromance in both. Have a different story but the whole might like it. If you liked Word Of Honor you might like this too.

Yeh they are similar bcos Botha are bl stories bt in word of honor due to chinas sensorship policy they changed the bl story to bromance bt we can actualy get every sence of romance in their eyes and about this drama they are doing a great job??? finally got to see a an actual bl in this historical Chinese dress ??? am overwhelmed in joy you know thatt ?

One of the main characters also looks to have revenge for unfair death of the parents.

The relationship between the male leads is so special like they are truly meant for each other (soulmate). I like the way Feng Ren (played by He Chang Xi) protect Po Xiao (Played by Ding Cheng Xin). This movie is actually the second time these two actors acted together, which is great because their chemistry is freaking lit. And the director for this movie is Guo Jingming, who also the director of the Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity, L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties and Painted Skin: The Guo Jingming Edition as well.

Both are Wuxia dramas with great casts and interesting plots.

Both are censored same-sex adaptations.

Both fall in the mystery genre.
