Good Enough
Korean Drama " Let Me Be Your Knight " is an idol drama that takes a more psychological twist. The drama has a cheesy start, by using that cliche way to get the female lead in the groups house. Eventually, however, it gets more heartwarming, as she develops relationships with the bandmembers and they get closer.
The romance, on the other hand, was lukewarm, and the predictable love triangle didn't aid to it. Still, the ending was nice and saved the story.
Unfortunately, the main couple stole the show and was monopolising the screentime, leaving little time for the rest of the group members to have a complete storyline.
On the other hand, the performances were nice by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, four out of ten.

very enjoyable
I really enjoyed this drama, quite more than I expected and much more than Imitation to be honest. Loved the fact it depicted a actual band (they never get enough attention in general) and the sound track was really good. I had both Love Paranoia and Beautiful Breakup on my playlist for weeks. The individual stories of the members I also enjoyed a lot although the main character, well, funny but also very odd (could not relate at all! And btw what happened with his dad?). The acting in general was also pretty good and I totally fell in love with JR (been quite obessivly looking at Nuest MVs even though they were never on my radar before this). His acting I thought was especially good and I just enjoyed his story line. I still dont get the big deal them being together but hey.. it made for good drama with lots of genuine moments (yes, I cried!)
If you are looking for something light hearted, funny and in some moments touching without expecting big plots or surprises this is one for you. ITs just some good entertainment (with some VERY bad kissing scenes. Sorry but main character and female character - zero chemistry! JR and his love interest however... ).
Anyway, go and watch it if you want some light hearted entertainment with enough drama for it to not get boring - I did even re-watch some of the episodes which I rarely do!

Amazing OST + cute romance and friendships + great character development
*SPOILERS ALERT*I thought it was pretty nice honestly ! Perfect after a heavy watch like many people in the comments said. Yes it's cliché but I think it was pretty well done. The relationship between the band members, the romance, the OST (like seriously it was amazing !), the cinematography were all great. I admit I wasn't very convinced with ep1-2 but the story eventually succeeded in drawing me in.
The only downside for me was the final ep. I think the whole kidnapping thing should have been left out to better focus on the "happy ending" between the couple. I'm not satisfied with a 10 secondes reunion in which the leads just stare at each other tearfully... Well I guess it could have been worse but I really don't understand what the writer thinks when they decide to incorporate a romance in their story (moreover a romance that takes the majority of the screen time) and conclude the relationship between the 2 characters with a lackluster and abrupt conclusion... (yes I'm very salty about this type of ending that shouldn't exist in any romance production, even if it's to give us a more "realistic" vision).
Apart from that, if you want to watch something light and sweet, with some funny moments and great relationships (and character development !) then go give this a chance! Also to be more precise, I didn't watch any other "idol" drama like Imitation and the like, the only one I watched was Dream High and I don't think we can compare the two. So maybe this drama isn't something very enjoyable/new for others but it worked pretty well for me.

Amazing Songs with a Cute Romance!
I did not expect myself to enjoy the drama as much as I did because I thought I knew how this drama would play out. However, it was way better than I expected. The great music convinced me to try the drama and I'm so glad I did! Lee Jun Young's (Jun) acting is amazing and I did not expect his voice to sound so rich. Not only that, most of Luna's songs were good and I have them replaying, especially the Let Me Be Your Knight. Although the plot did turn out a bit cliche, the way it was executed was not all that predictable, making it a fun watch. There were some side characters' stories that I skipped through because they were not interesting but the purpose of that story was meaningful. The actors in Luna were also way better than I expected, especially considering how most of them are idols in real life and it's their first attempt at such a major role. Anyhow, I hope to see Jun act in more leading romantic roles and sing more ballads! I recommend this drama for anyone who wants to hear some great music while experiencing a cute romance.Cet avis était-il utile?
An old story in updated packaging
If you've watched enough kdramas (and read shoujo manga), then this is already very familiar to you. Hardworking and cheerful girl gets into hard times and must live with a bunch of good-looking men. Main guy is cold but eventually warms up. Other guys end up liking our main heroine too. That's the set-up.If you miss these kinds of stories, are fine without getting any plot surprises, and like any of the leads here—then this may be for you. I really like the songs featured in the series. And it's nice that each idol has his own story arc and issues to resolve, separate from our heroine. The show's greatest strength may also be its short length (at 12 episodes only).
On the downside, I don't like some of this drama's use of old-style "comedy" (like accidentally spitting out drinks unto someone's face or shirt). I don't like some of the shortcuts they used too like the CEO basically acting as the manager for the band (this should be two separate roles).
This show uses all the main elements of 2009's You Are Beautiful but minus the charm, wit and originality of YAB. I watched YAB for the first time a few months ago and I was surprised at how fresh the script felt considering the show's actual age (12 years). If you haven't watched that yet, I strongly suggest you watch that first.
Let Me Be Your Knight is alright. It has nice colors and catchy music. But it won't go down as a fun, rewatchable classic like YAB.

The cream of cliché, with good music
This drama was very uneven. The first couple of episodes were terrible and I almost dropped it, but I finally kept watching and it got better. Then the last two were also very bad and the ending sucked. The worst thing was the writing. The story was like dozens we've already seen, nothing new there. Totally cliché situations, you knew exactly what would happen, the kind of sub-plots that would be explored given the setting.
The male lead was serious and sincere, I liked his acting a lot, he never overacted. He was manly and believable. The female lead was very exaggerated in the beginning, but got better, although most of the time she oscillated a bubbly enthusiastic face or a sad self-pitying one. But she's pretty and overall likeable, although the character's choices are sometimes incomprehensible.
Secondary characters were just "types", the usual types one finds in such movies. Each one had almost nothing else than what could be their main description. They did have a back story, but that didn't add any depth/nuance to their character.
What was something of a saving grace was the music. All the songs were unexpectedly high quality, and well-executed. That's the only thing that one would want to rewatch out of this silly story.
