I felt like the director warmed up to Shi Joon a little faster than was believable, considering she seemed to almost want him dismissed after the Nurse Na suicide attempt incident. I liked that they humanized the deputy director so he wasn't just this omniscient villain like in so many other hospital politics dramas. Even though he's still not an especially likable character, when he breaks down and cries after being hospitalized, it kind of breaks the "evil bad guy" spell, and he just seems like an ambitious, petty, yet normal person who didn't get what he wanted.
