Superb Acting
When I saw this movie, I didn't know who Song Joong-ki is. Yet I was utterly impressed with his acting in this movie. To play a role without saying a word, requires more from the actor. Unlike theater, you can't make your movements big or exaggerated. Eventhough cinematography, music, lighting, etc. plays a big role in a scene and movie in totality -- viewers see more of the acting than the complementing factors in making a movie interesting and engaging. Song Joong-ki gave justice to the character and was effective in the role. The scene where he was tamed by Park Bo Young seemed real with their cohesive acting. It's like a concert -- musical instruments played timely at the conductor's command. The acting is so engaging that I was ushered to see beyond it. I saw, heard and understood more. I like how it evoked my own perception, emotion and interpretation of the subject.
One of the great Korean movies I have seen, by far!

A masterpiece from the early years of our most beloved Korean A-list actors.
This was one of the first Korean movies that I watched a few years ago and to this day, I have left a little spot in my heart for this masterpiece. We have all seen animal-turned-human concept before, but not quite like this. The movie has an overall darkness to it that you can't shake off and makes you not want to blink for a second. So much is conveyed through the actors eyes and it felt like you were there with them through it all. This is at the tip top of my Korean Movie recommendations and I don't think it can ever be replaced. Get your tissues and some popcorn ready because you are in for a ride!

Excellent mystery and the two main leads, Park Bo Young and Song Joongki made me feel everything from love to sadness.
The ending... God.
Anyway, my kinda love story with plenty of heartache and passion.
The length of the movie was about 2 hours which is a good duration to really get attached to the characters and the creators did it so well and the casting was good too.
Yeon Seok as the villain gave a powerful performance as the self serving antagonist.
But the real strength of the story was the bond between Bo Young and Joongki, they are both so beautiful no doubt but more than that they brought their characters to life.

Nostalgic!
I remember reading the novel when I was in junior high school and I'm really into it. One of the most memorable novels I've read. The story was just perfect, with no other complicated background and ending.Song Joongki really did a great job to portray a wild werewolf boy that has a warm heart and sincerity. It's more than a romance story.
Park Boyoung, her acting always had a way to make me cry a river. Her 'Sun Yi' was just perfect.
When I read the novel at night, I remember going to school with swollen eyes in the morning.
One of the things that I won't regret in my life was deciding to borrow this novel from my school library and decided to watch the movie.

Amazing!
This is my favorite Korean movie! I love this movie so much, everything from mostly the story to how great the actors were at portraying their roles! This movie made me cry so hard though. The only thing that's so annoying about it is that since the biggest part of the movie is a flashback from the elderly lady, it has this sort of filter to make it look old. Which I guess they really tried to make it look like a flashback, but it would've been better if they would've just put something maybe like a sign that read the date or something. Because it has this old quality to it and I would've loved it if it had like better quality. But the storyline is great, and I absolutely loved it!Cet avis était-il utile?
Absolutely a Work of Art
With an all star cast, wonderful writing, and beautiful score, this film takes you to a place of wonder. You can definitely tell that the writing team loved this project, and you can tell the cast really embodied their roles to their best. Although this film has been out for several years now, every time I watch it, it feels like the first time. That's just how good it is.
A genuinely heartwarming story of first love, family, and beginning life after tragedy, this film will make you laugh and cry.

I loved the plot about the female lead attempting to make the boy civilised and she gets drawn to him and his innocent ways. I liked the characters development of the leads evokes a ray of emotions off the audience. he display of events and the cting overall is professional I was gripped and didn't get bored once when watching this, I now understand why this is so renowned! I recommend this movie for anyone who!
The research value is around about a 5 because I personally do not rwatch dramas unless they are my favourite ones (only ever rewatched 3 dramas)

One of the first K-drama films i've watched and i thoroughly do , will remember the experience .. The film is exceptionally well taken , written and performed ! Every single person in the cast did their roles to the fullest and the story telling is very very good . okay , were-wolf x human , the romance , friendship and bond between the two is so organic that you just can-not not wish to see more , the chemistry is beyond beautiful ! Joong ki owned the character to the core and carried out the role to the fullest ! Everything was so good even amazing until the climax , okay i understand , upto some extent this was needed but really , why ?! why did you have to ruin it for me ?! the ending is the only reason i gave a 6 for the story ... the bond was so special that i was literally praying for a happy ending for them , yeah this is a kinda happy ending sure , but it's just so unfair :( . All in all , great movie , a must watch!

Song Joong Ki as a pining wolf boy in the '60s countryside: a "must see" ^^
The story is centred around the encounter in the '60s in the countryside of a young woman and a "wolf boy", a young man clearly not used to human interactions and society rules. I loved a lot the premise of this movie as well as its setting in the past. It allowed a certain suspension of disbelief. What could seem impossible made indeed much more sense in the context of a small rural village in the sixties and after the war context. Story-wise, it was fascinating to see the development of the relationship between the two main protagonists. The only little default is the "contemporary" storyline which I felt did not add much to film overall. This movie is starring some actors and actresses that I generally like. The pairing between Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young works pretty well. The first one manages to transmit a lot of emotions without any need for dialog, the viewer is able to see everything through the eyes of his character. The second one does also a very good job as the central figure to the story, with a lot of poignant scenes successfully acted. Yoo Yeon Seok was excellent: I was quite shocked to see him in an antagonist role and he surpassed my expectations playing a despicable character. Jang Young Nam, in a supporting role, gives once again a great performance as the motherly figure trying her best to make lemonade with the lemons that life gave her.
Though some of the visual effects feel a bit outdated, the production value is pretty good overall. I found the sceneries and decors really well made: some were frightening and providing a chilling atmosphere, some were heart-warming and bright. There is one specific scene where music is particularly important that I liked a lot. The remaining soundtrack was not necessarily memorable.
I would recommend this to people looking for a good movie, well-acted with an interesting plot balancing pretty well several genres. It is a quite surprising and effective melange of slice-of-life and fantasy with some elements of thriller and romance. If you love one of the actors/actresses of the cast, it is a "must see". Strangely enough, even if the scenario has nothing to do with it, it kind of remind me in a way of "Titanic" in terms of relationships, characters and plot structure.
