Decepcionante

Primero que nada no es un drama para todos por la enrome cantidad de palabrerío técnico que hay en el drama, esto puede llegar a alejar a algunas personas o aburrir en alguno que otro caso porque es algo que se va a ver en los 42 episodios así que es entendible que alguien pueda llegar a dar una baja puntuación por ese motivo.
Personalmente creo que el drama esta partido en 2 partes, la mejor para mi gusto, fue desde el principio hasta que mo li y zhou xiao shan tienen que volver a Europa. Pasando esta mitad creo que el drama se transforma en otro que tranquilamente podría ser una segunda temporada y como norma general "todas las segundas partes son malas" y esta no es la excepción porque literal nos vamos a olvidar de la continuación del desarrollo y de los personajes de la primera mitad, el ejemplo mas claro esta en mo li, personaje que solo va a volver al drama para morirse y no aportar absolutamente nada a la historia.
Este drama me estaba encantando creo que tanto victoria song como luo yunxi tenian una hermosa química (el final de ellos me saco las lagrimas ) no los sentí forzados y tampoco creería q luo yunxi no encajaba en el personaje de zxs por su físico, creo que hasta encaja mejor por el físico que tiene .
La pareja secundaria si me pareció algo desubicada, ni su principio ni su desarrollo ni su desenlace me logro atrapar para nada y tranquilamente podrían haber no estado y no me hubiera molestado para nada.
En fin creo q era un drama que lo tenia todo para mi y a mitad de camino se fue por las ramas y no supo encontrar el camino de vuelta.

GREAT ACTING BUT *****

First I'd like to thank mydramatalist, as far as I go mydramalist became the best and most complete website who provide information for a lot of dramas and actors.
I often spend many times reading many reviews of dramas which i like at numerous website but this is the first time, the grand opening i write a review for a drama. Hehe, okay enough for tmi.

The reason i watch this drama is absolutely because the two main lead, Victoria Song and the Male lead ((i forgot his name :v sorry))

No doubt!! The two actors performed good acting, well conveyed emotions, and both had excellent chemistry.

At the beginning i think the story is okay,
I feel quiet uncomfortable when ZXS desperately wants back to jianing. The story feels odd start from here..
From here it feels like the compulsion to add a story, again and again.
I don't know how to explain that.. The story become a mess.

And till the end the old man always have a thing to threaten ZXS. The story at the end made me laugh.

Happy ending isn't always the main character live happily together, is it?
ZXS proves His love for Qjianing is true and his character also changing..
But the end of this story doesn't seem to give ZXS a better life. As we know After meet jianing he knows that he can choose, i thought after he choose the good one, at least he would pay what he did.
And he would back to jianing after finished his past. Sure our past is always there but with the past doesn't mean we can't move forward,right?
the forcing and surprising ending is, he have a big issue, that's his daughter.. Make him can't rid his past easily...
If drama genre, Having an unknown child is something to explain. Sometimes it's not easy for the female lead to accept things right away.. Fortunately Broker is action genre.. So confused, better to die ZXS? let's meet qiu jianing in new drama!!

Not a fan of the ending

Both Victoria Song and Luo Yun Xi are terrific actors and powerhouses, however the chemistry between them just wasn't properly utilized. The kissing scenes between the two were very dry, just quick pecks. There's one good intimate scene in this show and it isn't between ML and FL, but flashback between ML and his ex.

Don't even get me started with the ending. Another disappointing ending from a drama where where the ML has ulterior motives for approaching the FL. *Major Spoiler* The ML dies at the end. (I wish I had the reviews and someone had clearly stated that this happened.

What's more, apart from the fast-paced beginning, most of the show was boring, the second couple was the only reason I didn't skip most of it. In the beginning , both the SFL and SML were a bit cringey and too childish but thankfully they were not so bad by the end of it. I liked them together.

DISAPPOINTED ENDING!

I like FL & ML their acting is really amazing and incredible! I enjoy from the start of eps but i really disappointed with the ending part, I have watched full 42eps with complicated emotional with cry laugh smile also angers, FL & ML have through a lot of story in their relationship but in the end they never reach out an happiness. They were struggling too much, they deserve to be happy! Also the culprits should be got some punishment but they're free. Only little bit of lessons to be taken from this story. Is it bad drama? No this is nice drama but little bit bored and NO CLIMAX.

Felt like I wasted my time :(

I love Leo and Victoria so I had to watch this. It started off pretty interesting but the theme of scientific research won't be for everybody. I also didn't think I would like a slower, more serious drama but it really captivated me in the beginning. Then it began to drag and the characters became so frustrating. One of the main frustrations I had was how, for how intelligent she is, the female lead always had to be one step behind. Honestly, I regret spending my time watching this drama. The acting was good from what I can remember. Victoria is getting better and Leo was great as usual.

Help Yourself To Watch "BROKER" After Reading This Review. It Is Really Good.

The drama is seriously and drastically different from the other chinese romance dramas. I got a bit bored during the first 3-4 episodes. It was that I left watching it. But later when there were no other dramas to watch, I tried to watch it again. Then it got a little interesting. What I really liked in this was the music. There were mainly two music I liked. One was very soft and tragic tune, while the other revealed confidence and the feeling of winning. However, they were not songs. They were just music tunes. I couldn't find them no matter where I looked. This music also kept me watching this drama. But the ending was very sad but deserves appreciation. Chinese dramas often do not have such tragic endings. Overall, this drama is worth watching, especially with sound at the highest. You gotta keep faith and push yourself to watch this drama because after 10-15 episodes, it gets really interesting. I also really appreciate acting skills of Song Qian and Luo Yunxi, especially Luo Yunxi. He has been one of my fav actors and this drama was very overwhelming. I even cried in this one. I really recommend this drama for mystery lovers and romance lovers.

Don't watch unless you're super bored like me

Wow this drama kind of disappointed me... I mean the setting and everything is very nice and professional, and the lab actually is a lab (pipettes, autoclave, etc.) and the actors are good, but it just drags............ I think you get my point. I'm always kind of jarred by how all the white people magically understand Mandarin (definitely untrue) and how TOXIC Zhou Xiaoshan is... Like what's wrong with him? Just because he's pretty (or rather, Luo Yunxi is haha) doesn't mean he gets pretty privilege and that he gets to manipulate his way into Jianing's good graces. But seriously, Qiu Jianing doesn't understand life at all. I don't think there exists a single person on earth like her (except for small children). So in terms of how well-developed and realistic the characters are, I'd probably have to give it a 1/10. Everything's so predictable.

Rant over. Watch only if you're really bored (but there are so many better, unappreciated dramas out there like Killer and Healer that you could be watching instead)

I wanted to love this drama

The main reason why I watched this drama in the first place was because of Leo Luo (I really liked him from Love Is Sweet). I also find the story's focus on science a bit refreshing. However, after 11 episodes in, I no longer have patience to continue the drama.

One of my biggest peeve is the fact that they kept harping on how Jia Ning and Xiao Shan have lived abroad for a while as though it's a huge deal but they can't even speak a complete sentence of proper English. Especially that conversation Jia Ning had with this English professor - Jia Ning kept replying in Chinese while the professor spoke in English.

There are so many other cringe-y parts that don't even make sense, lowering down the overall quality of the story. Really, if you're bored, you'd probably be even more bored watching this drama.

Had great expectations but sorely disappointed

Maybe that was the problem- I had great expectations. Two big stars like Luo Yunxi and Victoria Song, but unfortunately it was a let down.

First 10mins of Epi 1 was like, “Whoa!!” Wow, looks promising. Subsequently it got SO BORING. It had a lot of research talk, and the supervisor and colleague trying to oust the FL; and it was great that she knew how to handle herself and came out victorious. But I was just skipping way too much, and the story just failed to interest me.

Sorry, thought I might actually come back to this cos other reviewers had good reports, but I think nah. Moving on to the next ;)

Its sad !!

Ok so i was really excited about this drama and eagerly waiting for english subs. I finally started watching and reached ep 13. Then i came across the ending and it was devastating. I mean aren't we all enough sad in our lives, why add a little more pain to it? Do the reel stories need to adjust with real life stories? I mean i know its more difficult to make a story with a sad ending into a drama. It needs real hardwork and dedication of the actors. But why can't something that neither the viewers nor the actors are facing need to be so much real and sad, can't it be a fairytale. I just had to drop it because everyday is a real depression on its own.

Same ol' same ol'

The trailer was interesting, unfortunately after watching just 2 episodes I saw that it was again just the typical "romance" C-Drama with the typical twenty-something actors/actresses. Only difference, at least in the episodes I watched, the action is somewhere in Eastern Europe. Okay, but when Victoria Song talks to her boss in Chinese and he answers in English for quite a while I was thinking: "Seriously"? They couldn't get a Chinese actress that speaks English for this part? How realistic is that? Then I saw Leo Luo acting his part as a tough agent/broker in a fight with several people. For heavens sake, he is just too young for this role. If at least he looked kind of tough and mean, but no, quite the opposite....From then it just went downhill for me. Apparently someone thought let's make a series with some more or less fresh faces, underutilized actors, for people like me that are getting tired of seeing the same actors in more or less the same roles. I have no problem with this idea. Only problem is, these actors should be in some other series. The action genre, no, most definitely not. "Broker" is screaming for actors at least 10 years older than the actors here plus some common sense added to the scenes.
