Halfway: Lee Jong Suk is my only love

Why am I loving this… I really like all of the characters, and I love how none of them are completely one dimensional. The events are really playing out more like a novel than a drama in some ways with every character unfolding but by bit as the story continues. My favorite characters are probably the two “ice queens” of the office. The main boss to a greater degree, but I love how they both are unfolding to not be the evil person they were first thought to be. It is also completely independent of each other and in different ways. I appreciate how the second female lead is not turning evil like so many are forced to do in the face of a love triangle. Also shout out the the three divorced women drinking together. So Ja Hoon is also likeable. It was cute how both couples were together on the first snow. I will never get over all of these sweet moments with Lee jong suk omg. His confession was so beautiful and coded like a flowery novel. Loved. I don’t love the comic relief in the younger fake couple, but I don’t hate it either. I also don’t think the author suicide was necessary. Other than that, I am loving this drama so much more than the rest of the public seems to.

Beautiful Women

The women had some scenes that I think can really be appreciated by other women. Here's a couple I noted. I appreciated Ms. Seo's argument with her husband. "Shouldn't you be trying to understand me right now?" - this idea that your partner can still not be on your side / try to understand you even after years of a close (and nearly loving) relationship. It reminds me of my past relationship (although these characters are a lot more sane so its clear they were good people who were just a bad match) because he often wouldn't take my side. The crying scene between the three women is also good because you can just feel the relief. I envy being able to be around good women and just being able to release some of that negative energy. (The leads' romance is still pretty basic. And I mean that man //did not// try to kiss her while she was 'sleeping'.... Doesn't change that it still makes me blush tho. I do find it annoying if they make the woman's body language indicate that they are not interested - like if she's not interested wtf is the point of it being a romance? and it obvi sets a bad example....)
