Lawless Attorney (2018)

In this drama also the main lead is taking revenge for his mother's death and in the process ends up finding love and people who stick with him . Lawless lawyer is a bit more mature and dark but if you liked lawless layer give this a try.

Both are courtroom dramas. Romantic relationship between the main leads who are both lawyers. Hyena has more comedic elements and cases while Lawless attorney also has comedy but is more serious and more complicated villain but both keeps you on the edge of your sit. In both dramas a son is fighting to bring justice to his family...on remember a son wants to proove his dad's innocence and in lawless lawyer a son wants to take revenge on people who killed his mum . We can say both the dramas are about revenge.

Similar theme different take. Both have ML that are ex-mafia and have employed their underlings in their legitimate business/law firm. While MSM is sweet and lite like light candy, LL is a well done, heavy, dark take on reality with little romance. Both are fantastic for the genre they focus on.

The fight for justice trope is executed the same way. Villains are brought down from their high and fancy roles/titles. Both male leads have a strong sense of justice and similar circumstances (both were orphaned and their parent(s) were killed by the villains).

Female leads are professional, headstrong, and work alongside the male lead with no second-guessing. Both male leads have a group of friends that help them get the job done.

A lawyer who doesn't play by the rules. And to top it up, his background isn't the most ideal one you'd consider a lawyer to come from. His drive and reason for being a lawyer are all part of a plan to bring a certain sense of justice to evil. As they say to fight evil you sometimes have to become one

MLs always protect and lookout for the FL. Both have ties to the Korean mafia, but wanted to go in a more civilized and non-criminal direction in life. At one part of the drama MLs are wanted for murder. Romance is similar.

- both ML will do anything to bring justice (in both cases to take down a group of powerful criminals), and don't care if they do it illegally.
- both ML are jokester, while both FL are strong headed.
- ML and FL have the same target, in which someone dearest to them is killed by the same person.
- Café Minamdang opens a shaman cafe, while Lawless Lawyer opens a small lawyer office.
- the 2 dramas have politic relations (in both cases, the criminals are to-be mayor)
- They both have people who are loyal to them and work together to solve the case (Café Minamdang have their family and friends, Lawless Lawyer have a group of gangster)
- Both dramas include fun undercover scenes too.

Lawless Attorney (Lawless Lawyer) features the same kind of hero, strong and protective who watches out for the FL even though she is strong in her own right and can take care of herself. The ML would prefer to settle things with the law, but he's got no problem using his fists if he has to.

With the same main actor, theses stories line both have to do with a child getting a job to avenge a love one and getting ride of their painful past. Both have to do with law and criminal. In criminal mind we follow a detective and in lawless lawyer a lawyer but both stories are captivating with many interesting characters.
One interesting things in theses dramas is that they both have a powerful woman lead...
I definitely recommend criminal mind to people who love lawless lawyer, and of course lawless lawyer to those who loved criminal mind !
One last word: Lee Jong Ki is definitely a great actor who is choosing good and differents works each times. Huge respect for the performances of this actor.
