It's vibe is similar to stranger
I watched stranger (S1&2) first before watching life ( reason for the headline)It is interesting (but it is a bit boring somentimes - maybe it is bcoz I am not a fan of serious dramas)
The actors did a great job. They played the characters so well that *speechless*
Cho seung woo is really good at acting. I hated his character but rooted for him at the same time. His chemistry with won ji nah was✨
I liked Lee kyu hyung in prison playbook and I was suprised to see his serious acting in this drama. (He can pull off any character)
Moon so ri's character OSH is really annoying at the start but her character development is so good. (Btw Look forward to goo seung hyo's, oh se hwa's and Joo Kyung Mo's lunch scene)
Lee dong wook and won ji nah also did a great job. I loved LDK's character bcoz he was a rebel and WJN's character bcoz she didn't believe in rumours and believed that everyone has a good heart.
For a drama without romance, there are 3 couples that I shipped.
Ending is really satisfying and any other ending would have made it boring
If you want to see a medical-political-no romance but romantic-drama then this is perfect for you

If you're looking for a drama that shows
"The co-relation b/w the medical and corporate sector "
How they both work and merge . How dirty is it actually . How it's exploited .
What role the doctors play in this and how's the situation .Then this is it .
Rarely do I see such dramas . It's really serious at times .
This drama was excellent , but it had it's ups and downs .
The first episode was just boring and wasn't even needed .
It got paced after that nicely but again was hollow after episode 7 or 8 I think .
The problem this drama had was character development .
While this was the drama's strength but it ended up being it's biggest flaw .
The writer tried so hard to give equal screenplay to everyone in this drama ,
I mean every character had it's own importance , their own perspective was shown .
Every single character out there .
The problem lies in the fact that the mid plot was hollow and the writer tried to cover it up which I feel was absurd .
She wrote a good start and a good end but the mid part was just jumping from serious to casual romance and what not .
But then it diverted ,
In simple terms it lost it's depth and tried to regain it in the ending episodes .
But anyway , the writers tried to make it seem as realistic as possible which is a good thing .
The plot is open I mean it's unpredictable in a sense that it takes the realistic approach so well that you'll be surprised how normal things are .
People are people after all .
How we judge them and how they really are .
Acting wise all of them were awesome .
Specially our Lead Jo Seung Woo(Mr.Goo) . He's a real star and after watching him in 3 dramas now he's done till now .
He's the best Korean actor at the moment . Just phenomenal .

Less medical, more drama.
Slow burn but if you are invested in the acting, and there are MANY great drama actors here, you will endure the long dialogues and subtle character development. As usual, CSW does not disappoint. Interestingly, somewhere in the middle the line between protagonist and antagonist blurrs and i found myself sometimes frustrated with the doctors and liking the president. Also, each character's personality remains the same until the end even if you see that it has been influenced somehow to be nicer or less serious. So in a nutshell, this medical drama is less medical and more drama.

ONE OF THE BEST DRAMAS EVER TOP 5 FOR SURE 1000/10 <3 I CRIED MY ASS OFF FEELING SUPER EMOTIONAL ESPECIALLY DURING THE LAST EPISODE I REALLY DIDN'T WANT IT TO END. This drama introduced me to Lee Dong Wook and he is truly one of the best actors ever! As a person knowing how it is to deal with disabilities, I was surprised at how well he portrayed the character. It was absolutely flawless he got me shook in every scene! His every single facial expression was insanely accurate it brought me to tears every time; depressed while trying his hardest to fight through "Life" and the love and hate relationship he had with himself and the people surrounding him were flawlessly portrayed. Though he had been given the hardest role (while everyone else had really vibrant roles and had a lot to play with), he draws you in and steals the show in my opinion. No one else on this planet could bring such a complex character this beautifully to life wow just wow!The brothers owned my whole heart in EVERY SINGLE scene they had. Their every scene was full of emotion, heavy, authentic and just too beautiful for this world. This drama simply depicted real-life human emotion and struggles. It was too real that for the first time ever, I truly did not feel like I was watching a drama.. The emotions and reactions depicted were so accurate to real life that I am still mesmerized just thinking about it. This drama is a masterpiece and a must-watch! I will definitely be rewatching this masterpiece soon <3
+this is the first time I saw Lee Dong Wook in a drama and OMG he is literally one of the best actors ever! He can depict any emotion through his eyes in a second! he completely took my breath away in his every scene <3

One of the very best!
This drama was awesome. The script was clever, profound and gripping and raising a multitude of issues! Corporate greed vs. human lives is one, but it touches on so much more. Work ethics, personal ethics, ideals versus reality, viable compromise, ways to survive without losing one's humanity. Friendship, sacrifice, brotherly love, personal dignity, trust. Even mental illness as a coping mechanism.I don't know why and how, but on reading the synopsis one might think that the subject matter is dry and potentially boring, but in reality it's more gripping than a wild West adventure and you can't wait to see how it's going to unfold. There's never a dull moment, or a slackening of pace, even in the introspective moments with interior monologue which are possibly the weakest, but still play their role.
The two (three? four?) love stories are organic to the plot, they are not an afterthought, and they even help the plot go forward and the characters evolve.
The characters are all flawed, there isn't one perfectly "good guy" without any weaknesses, there isn't one bad guy (except for one) that doesn't have a good side to him/her. Every character richly detailed and developed with plenty of nuance. Even the chauffeur or a nurse we only see occasionally, all characters have been taken care of. This is so rare in k-drama.
The direction brought every detail of this masterful script to life, with the help of a group of extremely talented actors, each and every one of them on top of his/her game, down to the last role.
A special mention goes to the main lead - who is Cho Seung Woo, not Lee Dong Wook. He really makes the difference in this drama, shining bright.
It's not a drama to watch in a leisurely, distracted way while doing something else, or when you're sleepy. Maybe also not if you are under 18. I think that I wouldn't have enjoyed it when I was a teenager, but then today's teenagers might be different. It does require concentration, because so much is going on all the time. But you'll be amply rewarded for your attention, it's so enjoyable! And yes, it does have a happy ending - or as happy as possible, which will leave you smiling and satisfied.

Started off good, but ended poorly
This kdrama has really great cast and I was super excited to watch, but it ended being so poorly writtten in the second half it was upsetting. Seung Woo saved this kdrama from being unwatchable. Most of the characters don’t have any depth or look and act the exact same as another character. Other than Mr. Gu and Ms Kang you really don’t feel anyone is exciting or interesting to watch at all. Nothing in the story gets resolved, no one is held accountable and they spent most of second half of the kdrama on the leads brother when the didn’t need to. They tried to make mr. gu the bad guy for most the show, but he’s the only standing up against corrupt, perverted and money hungry doctors.
They wanted me to believe Jim woo was supposed to be the heart of this kdrama? no, he never put his name on anything that he leaked and let other people take the blame and he literally made grieving parents watch their daughter get an autopsy just to get dirt on the hospital.
They tried to throw the main leads together at the end when they left on a weird note they last time they talked. No conclusion for ms kang, no accountability for the doctor who was basically abusing the elderly with unnecessary surgeries, no accountability for the doctor that sexual abusing/being disgusting towards women and nothing had to the chairman who was threatening to murder people. They literally just said screw the story, how we end it on a scene of just the two brothers going on a vacation smh. No amount of talent can save a kdrama from bad writing

Cho Seung Woo as President Gu is every company's dream!
Wow. Cho Seung Woo as a ruthless businessman is totally mind blowing.Although he is the second male lead, the audience of this drama is only interested to watch his next scene and actions. His acting skills simply dominate the entire drama. This is his stage,; the rest supporting cast.
The drama starts with a top executive, President Gu, takes over the management of a loss-making hospital outside Seoul. His mission is to make the hospital a profit-generating hospital. He is faced by so many incompetencies and mismanagement but issues are solved by his creativity.
Until he begins to discover the real motive of his company's real objective.
Audience will admit once they have seen this drama, they will be very unlikely to find another good drama to watch. They will find themselves a loyal fan of Cho Seung Woo.
