You're not cute ... sweet :)

It's funny to think that I started this drama thinking 'meh, this looks one I'll be dropping around the 3rd episode'. How wrong I was. This is so far a beautiful story of friendship, growing up and finding your way in the world. It's hitting very close to home because it's not been very long since I had (and still have) similar feelings about life and my place in it like the characters. My favourite scene has got to be when Sae tries to comfort a crying and upset Kai after he gets dumped. So sweet and touching. Kai is an amazing guy. I understand why Sae's into him. He's really easy to love. Camping scene was also well played. I'm looking forward to see what becomes of the budding relationship between Shonhei and Akane, but poor Keita ... I hope he finds someone just right for him!

The Orange Society

This is a drama to be marathoned. That's why I'm jumping from episode 1 to 5. It doesn't really matter that much whether one episode is sightly better than the next or what happens when exactly. It's a sweet story made of great moments, the best of which are those picturing the friendship among 5 adorable characters.
Eita is hilarious, even though the laughter is at the expense of his love misfortunes.

I give this one a 10 for the lovely camping scenes. It truly conveys a lot of fond memories.
Brilliant acting.
