In both:
- In the first half, the main male character is much more powerful than the main female character, many are opposed to their relationship due to the status difference
- There is an 'epic' feel of the romance as they are reincarnated multiple times, with our main hero learning to be more humble and not take the female lead for granted. There's lots of protectiveness and rescuing.
- Both have same levels of CGI and production values

Ashes of Love, however, one of my favourites. It is written much more efficiently - with the characters going through multiple adventures and lifetimes in the time it takes The Last Immortal to get through one plot point. Ashes of Love also has strong themes and compelling secondary plots around what true love means, sibling rivalry, and what is good and evil.

Most importantly - Ashes of Love also has greater emotional impact. As the main characters have so much screen time together, and go through so many up and downs, you genuinely cheer them on and are sad to leave their universe behind.

Even though these dramas are from extremely different genres, I watched one practically right after the other and both gave me a roller-coaster-like feel:
- Both are long dramas and have so much going on, that by the end when you look back at the beginning, you feel as if you watched the first episode so long ago.
- Both have unexpected twists and turns.
- Both of the female leads are naive with the male lead being more powerful/rich than the female lead.
- The cast in both dramas is AMAZING and both were released recently (2018) so the effects and cinematography are pretty good in both.
- This doesn't really relate to the similarity of the plots of the dramas but I absolutely loved the music in both even though I usually don't pay attention to the music.

-Powerful ML
-Parents death of FL by Parents of ML

Although many theme are similar but plot of AOL is totally different
Dr. Cutie is more light drama & miss chemistry between ML & FL whether else AOL is high budget with great chemistry...

Both drama has Luo yunxi ;)
You should "Lie to love" because it has a good story, great couple and perfect visuals. Cheng Xiao soooo beautiful. You can see luo yunxi in modern dramas so hard.

While Ashes of Love is more drama-driven and The Romance of the Tiger and Rose is more comedy-driven, there are several overlapping tropes from one story to the other.

1. silly, childlike FL with no experience with love

2. super-in-love ML who gets a dark side in the last arc of the drama

3. second FL who's determined to get the ML and is willing to overthrow stuff to attain her goals

4. Silly supporting cast: The moon god and the water snake in Ashes of Love remind me of the ML and FL's attendants in Tiger and Rose

5. Sacrifice for your loved one (this is pretty huge, here- both ML's do *spoiler alert* end up stabbed because someone's overthrowing the government)

I know the tones are different, but the story line is similar, and the core values seem aligned! Highly recommend both

AOL is a lot better plot-wise and acting but this is basically similar. There is a sweet and happy period then things go to hell. The Ml also end up killing each other then bringing each other back to life.

First, of course, both are of the Xianxia drama.

-In both dramas, the leading roles are devoid of falling in love. They cannot understand the feeling of love. But they get rid of this deprivation.
-There is a lot of misunderstanding, betrayal and sacrifice in both dramas.
-There is a bad female side character in both dramas.
-Amazing Cast
-In both dramas, ML gets injured by FL on their wedding day.
-Love hate relationship (caused by misunderstandings)

The story of both drama is happen during a mythological era with Ice , Fire, Flowers, Water etc. tribes . In both drama is a high posibility for you to fall in love with the villain. The love story between the main characters will give you goosebumps everytime. You will receive an uragan of emotions.

Both have a similar first half where a plant fairy, who does not understand what love is, makes a high ranked deity fall in love with herself. After that both series get more serious, but Ashes of Love gets a hundred times more serious and angst heavy, while Dear Herbal Lord stays quite light all the way through.

Alchemy of Souls reminds me of the Chinese drama Ashes of Love.
The plot is not similar, but I enjoyed watching the progression of the love between the leads. This is something you could watch in between waiting for AoS new episodes since it has many episodes (63).
