City Hunter (2011)

Both main leD were raised by a man that killed their own father. The man was a ruthless, cruel, strategies, man who pretend to be nice, but using the main leads to do the illegal works

Has an unexpected event happened, changed both Characters, this is action and romantic heavy too. The male characters deadly in love with the girl just like city hunter, with little crime and action.

They have similar vibe. If you liked Cambrian Period then you will like City Hunter as well..........

Women that need to be saved? Check. Masked heroes ? Check. Sexy main leads ? Check. Fighting scenes ? Check. Secret agents and revenge? Double Check.

In both shows:
> The ML has a secret identity and meets the FL under false pretenses.
> There's a past connection between the leads.
> The ML is a prominent fighter and wants to keep the FL safe.
> The ML's job always puts him in danger.
> The ML feels lonely and seeks solace in the FL.
> The FL decides to help the ML with his case/job/objective.

In both dramas the heroes protect the city from corruption.

Same director, same feel (at least for the first episodes of DS). One has a medical-spy plot with political implications, whereas the other concentrates on the political-spy part.

Both Korean story involved a young man raised by gangster/killer/evil mastermind. Both young man has grown up to know what is right from wrong.

Similar plot that has a political background and people who are trying ti seek revenge and justice.

Both are about a son, avenging their parent/s.

Both are action romances. The male leads leave their countries and spend years in overseas drug cartels because someone close to them becomes high level drug lords (adoptive father in City Hunter and sworn brother in Age of Legends). They learn to fight and become overall badasses, and see pictures/hear stories about the female leads back in their home countries. When they finally come back to their own countries years later, they cross paths with female leads and romance ensues (after butting heads with each other at first). Both female leads are action girls. The female lead in City Hunter works in the secret service (president's bodyguard) while the female lead in Age of Heroes is a police officer. The main plot in both revolves around bringing powerful people to justice.

In terms of action and conspiracy around politicians, they are similar. They both revolve around politicians, government conspiracies and the Blue House.

Swallow the Sun may be totally different styles, but both are full of action, romance, mystery, a crazy dad and let's not forget the Revenge! Both are incredible dramas, and also quite similar!

Both have Lee Min Ho as the male lead and both have action in it.
They both have a similar tone to it, but Gangnam 1970 doesn't have a lot of comedy and doesn't have a lot of romance.
