I recommend this both drama because , Male lead and Female lead
try to solve problem
In one drama explosion and another student murder/suicide

They both have similar plots: meeting with a past lover/ crush and years later the female leads looks have deteriorated and meets the lead guy again.
Get Karl was a comical drama just like she was pretty.

Because of second lead syndrome wish fulfillment. Not for Shin Se Gi sadly...but there was another second lead in this show that had great chemistry with the female lead. And they play first leads together in She Was Pretty. Although that show also has a great second lead...so full disclosure: Second Lead Syndrome (SLS) can not be cured. #sorry-not-sorry

both have unattractive female lead, taking inner beauty theme, and finding first love. Both have cold hearted/arrogant guy who is handsome, cool, loyal, and have a good heart inside

The story is pretty similar. The main character is considered not attractive compared to her sister and because of that her personality is shy and awkward. However, because she shares a name with the popular guy in her class she catches his attention. Because of her quiet demeanor she becomes the target of his bullying but things start to shift when she stands up to him. He still "messes" with her but in ways that create opportunities for her true personality to shine and in doing so they begin to fall for each other.

Main plot point shared is that the male lead doesn't like the female leads personality in the beginning but it soon becomes apparent that he misjudged her and he finds himself drawn to her.

What they have in common :
Both are Romantic Comedies. Hwang Jung Eum is the leading lady in both. In both, leads met as children and meet again as adults, although there is more of a connection as children between the leads in SWP. Both follow the typical Rom/Com formula (beautiful but unfriendly male lead/ hard working female lead). Both have wonderful second leads.

The two dramas have the same premise. Both FL work for a magazine company and deal with hard headed bosses. Though for Oh My Boss, the plot is not toxic like She Was Pretty.

Love the friendships in these! Both are about supporting your friends as much as they are romantic comedies. In both of these dramas, the leads knew each other as children.

Love the second leads in both of these dramas. It is for different reasons but both of the leading ladies have a ruddy unattractive appearance. Both dramas follow the usual Rom/Com formula (leading man is successful and handsome/leading lady is hardworking and has a good heart). In both dramas the leading man is drawn to the leading lady due to his own insecurities/fears.

Imagine She Was Pretty's Kim Shin Hyuk getting his own drama
Park Jae Hoon is carefree and sloppy but a funny sweetheart with beautiful dimples, and yes I'm siwon biased

As a young girl, Hye Jin was impossibly cute and lived a comfortable life with her wealthy parents. Since entering her teens, both her looks and fortunes have drastically changed. She currently lives rent-free with a friend and is a part-time clerk at a convenience store. Out-of-the-blue, Sung Joon, her childhood friend, contacts her and suggests they meet. He is unaware that Hye Jin recently spotted him and knows how fit and handsome he had become. Not wanting to disappoint him, she insists her pretty best friend go in her place. What could go wrong?
After landing a full-time job, Hye Jin is surprised to find out that Sung Joon is her boss. To add insult to injury, he is treating her with nothing but disdain and contempt. This is not the friend she fondly remembers, so she goes about hiding her true identity from him.

- Both dramas are romcoms centered around a magazine-based workplace
- In both, the ML is the FL's boss and they've met each other previously
- The ML is a tsundere to the compassionate, persevering (and endearingly quirky, lol) FL
- The SML is a more bubbly character who also works with the FL

Edit: The wrap-up of MMH was disappointing. Nowhere near as wholesome as SWP, which I now feel certain in saying is superior of the two.

In both dramas the lead actress is 'ugly' and falls in love with handsome, populair guy..

Both story environments are the workplace, also the FL has prior history with main male lead. A strong 2nd ML is also interested in the main FL. I like that the characters in both seem more mature, and emotions are expressed with really great acting.

Fifteen-year-old Sei Saotome is the type of person who tends to fail at the most crucial times. After nearly becoming a high school drop-out, she enrolls into a school that is overambitious for her. There she meets the bold and popular Taiyou Udagawa; and the dreamy and stars obsessed, Mizuki Ootaka. After being asked by Mizuki to join the two guys in the Astronomy Club, it turns out high school life isn't as bad as she had expected.
