This show is simply great. The romance is lovely (the two leads have amazing chemistry) though not predominant, as the real theme is the power of media and all its consequences, which is always incredibly fascinating.
Very well written, this show manages to never be boring and always unexpected.
On a side note, this is the second show I watch with Lee Jong Suk (after W) and I liked him a lot here. At the same time, this is the first show, for me, with Park Shin Hye, and I love her! She's really, really good, so much so that I'm definitely looking forward to watch more shows with her! 100% recommended.

perfect

it is one of favorite drama ever. the story is perfect, I love dramas that show people past so I can feel how they lived and how they grow. you will understand and feel the characters very well, especially the main actors are really good ones. i cried and laughed a lot. I enjoyed a lot at every moment
I wasn't excited because I thought its just work environment drama, but its absolutely not. it is much deeper
but honestly I would prefer if it was 16 ep. it look they try to extend it very hard. I don't think I can rewatch it because I cant forget the story so its difficult to watch

The most appropriate way to describe Pinocchio is intelligent. This is one of the most well written, well thought out, and well executed dramas I've ever had the pleasure of watching. It managed to save the crime genre for me and made me finally realize the reason for the hype around Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk.

I will admit the first half of the show was rather slow. There was a lot of backstory development as well as having the characters establish themselves in their careers. It took a lot of time away from what I, and I'm sure many others, consider to be the more interesting or fast moving plot of the show's second half. I feel that they could have easily cut this drama down to 16 episodes. That being said I clearly enjoyed this drama since I scored it highly. The above mentioned criticism is really my only glaring problem with the show. As for the aspects I loved there are too many to name. First lets talk about the plot. It's thought provoking, heavy on morality, and really encapsulates how different people can react when pushed to the end of their rope. Each character is challenged and broken. They either rise above, fall short of, or overcome these challenges, but the unique and believable actions of each character solidify the artistry with which this show was written. Even the addition of the fictitious and silly sounding Pinocchio Syndrome does not detract from the realism this drama embodies. If anything the syndrome adds to it by allowing the audience to see that though someone may never lie they can still be mistaken and fall short of the truth. My applause to Park Hye Ryun for her magnificent writing. The way the syndrome forces our female lead to confront her feelings is also a huge plus for me. This brings me to the romance. This is my favorite couple pairing for both Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk. Their chemistry was off the charts and I felt that their friends to lovers relationship was organic and believable. They knew when to put their partner before themselves and when to put themselves before their partner. The relationship was mutual, healthy, and endearing. They were each other's biggest support system and their relationship had a note of maturity thanks to this. Even when things got tough or the relationship seemed like it wouldn't work out they never truly gave up on each other. Everyone's reaction to the relationship was also appropriate if not frustrating. In fact all of the characters had logical reactions to just about every scenario the show presented. When a character got mad I too was angry, when a character made a bad decision I felt that I would have chosen the same course, when a character finally broke down and cried it was at just the right moment. Everything was well balanced and above all logical. For me this logic, so lacking in most dramas, was the crowning achievement of Pinocchio.

La ame no puedo mentir

Historia

*tells self to be calm while writing a review* I CAN'T BE CALM!!! DAMN!!

It's a drama which reveals new hidden secrets and information in each episode!! How exciting is that?!!

The story doesn't just end there at the climax and everything just starts to solve itself.. no.. even with the falling action after episode 10 secrets were still uncovered !!

How hard is it to give 10s these days? SUPER HARD! To the point where I'm not watching anything -.- Kdrama is going downhill, but THIS cam to the rescue...

Story...

As I said the story has SO much hidden around the corner, so many details and excitement. You are reminded of small details you never paid attention to at the beginning with bigger events and plots. It doesn't bore you out! An obvious 10 *-*

Acting/Cast

DAMN! THE CHEMISTRY! O.O PSH and LJS are made for each other !!

I hate Park ShinHye simply because she's too pretty and always steals my oppas (I can count TEN of them! both Korean AND Japanese!) but I can't not give her credit for how much her acting improved especially after that Heirs disaster *facepalm* she was a mess. Anyways, she passes this drama, thumbs up :3

Lee Jung Suk *-* DEABAK improvement !! From the rising star to the pro. His actions and expressions are becoming more genuine and precise.

Kim Young Kwang.. my crush since White Christmas has surely grown much more professional at what he does. He played the character way too well.

The MOST impressive though, Jin Kyung (In Ha's mother) you won't notice it at the beginning, but the contrast in the personalities sh'es playing is shown CLEARLY on her face in the last few episodes. SHE'S TOO GOOD!

Nothing on Music... It's Amazing but not Perfect because I didn't even notice it while watching.
My guess, the story is too intense to notice the music, but I must admit, the music blends in SO well with the events that you feel it instead of hearing it.. I TAKE IT BACK ! the Music is PERFECT!

Rewatch Value isn't much cuz you already know all the secrets and hidden agendas.. but I still would look up some Romance between the leads and watch on a nice free day to relief stress.. the chemistry IS that good!

I can't believe all the winter dramas are so bad I get to watch only this and it's about to end ToT I hope this drama drought doesn't last ToT

An interesting story.

I like those dramas that also have small complete stories in it every one-two episodes, and that stories are short, so that they finish within one-two episodes and don't pester me through all the drama. Wow yeah. I mean the reporters cases. I like it that they are also a bit detective. And I like how they solve the cases, the characters do have common sense. And that's so rare in korean drama that I just fell in love for the Pinocchio.

Lacks..
There is a tradicional love triangle in the drama. I'm tired of it. I'd like to see a drama where heroes would fall in love with more that one person and be okay and happy with that and wouldn't need to choose only one...
And that family bonds that bring so big hardships to the characters... is just an absurd. And the greater absurd is how they still respect this bonds and obey to this absurd.
LJS is emotionless in this drama, like as if he forgot how to act. He just stands, walks, poses here and there, stares, makes big eyes while a trouble scene, and that's it. Though his character is interesting.

All characters are okay or great. There is no any single character which I hate too much.

The beginning of this drama starts off a little slow, but overall the story has a pretty good pace. Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk make such a cute pair. Watching the male lead temper his feelings from early on in the series is really adorable. A lot of energy and focus is dedicated to Lee Jong Suk's rise in his journalism career and proving himself as a true reporter, this ends up making the leads' romance take a backseat for most of the series. That being said, I think this is the first really satisfying ending that I've seen with Park Shin Hye. I would definitely recommend it for any Park Shin Hye and/or Lee Jong Suk fan.

I think I have to avoid this writer, hehehe... He can't make a good story writing.... The story is simple: DO NOT LIE, but with a matured thinking and twists...

The only thing that touched me here is the Brother relationship well, heart wrenching enough... Another monotonous acting of LJS....

I love romantic comedies, but this one I felt eerie and awkward.... I just don't know why PSH always looks being raped/forced on romantic scenes....

The only scene that has impact on me is that: they were doing undercover with the expensive bag... I was thinking that time, I wish they also make news why Prada, Chanel, LV etc are expensive.... hahahah..

Music score, Okay... But nothing left remarkable OST (and that's what Im looking for a Kdrama!)...

The acting is anime-like, some boring and dragging moments, that I'd rather do some house cleaning while my TV is on tuned in to this show..

Well, bravo to PSH and LJS tons of fans, that they joint force to put this on top... But im not re-watching it again....

In Pinocchio, we assume that there is a syndrome that prevents you from lying. But the main focus of the drama is the power of the media and the way a story can be presented as to manipulate the public opinion. Well, the story is quite good and entertaining, and the romance is nice, even though in the end gets a little boring. Especially the two last episodes were really blunt, as the story was summed up in the episode 19th and it was stretched till the 20th. So, if it wasn't for those two final episodes, this drama would have been much much better. So, because of the great performances and the fact that, fortunately, the flash backs were handled beautifully and they didn't tire the audience 6 out of 10.

For me i think that this drama was quite lets say, boring and to much for me to take in it is sad at the beginning but after a while its like meh...and you just loose your interest for the rest of the episodes.

I personally think that this drama would be better if they would have been able to make sure that this drama was more able to understand. The story is good its just that the acting was a little to much for the whole story and not serious enough to give you that good drama

The music was great and very nice to listen to and the only thing that made me drop this was the first few episodes.
