Healer was a good drama. The story was solid. The female lead was strong. The male lead was hot. The directing was slick. I didn't love it, but I thought it was pretty good. If you like action romcoms with a solid couple and a heavy plot, I would recommend this.Things I loved:
The Music: Eternal love is on my "favorites" playlist. The ost elevated the drama.
Ji Chang Wook's hotness and acting: No need for explanation.
Lack of pointless relationship drama: BLESS.
The plot: Have to admit, the plot was great.
Pacing: Timing was on.
Kisses: Those were some good kdrama kisses.
Minja: My favorite character. She was badass.
Bong Sookie/Healer: Loyal and badass. Awkward and clumsy. Suave and intelligent. Lonely but loving. Brilliant.
Villains: Clever and realistic way of showing the corruption in political circles.
Her dad: He was a really good dad. Very supportive and just.
Action sequences: THOSE WERE SO FUN!
Things I was meh about:
The Romance: I'm sorry. It just didn't make me swoon. The whole secret identity thing made it feel less authentic. I can't say more without giving spoilers.
The main lead actress and her character: Tried to make her seem relatable by giving her "quirks" but I NEVER connected with her on an emotional level. The actress's performance was flat and forced. I didn't hate her acting, but it didn't do anything for me either. She was kind of boring to watch at times. You may love her, this is just my opinion.
Moon Ho: Coward character. Lied a bunch. Even though he had his reasons for keeping secrets, they weren't good enough. Didn't like the scenes with him.
Politics: I don't like politics lol, and I got confused quite a bit so I had to rewatch certain scenes. Still, it kept me engaged. I don't blame the drama.
Overall: Really good drama. I really don't know why I didn't love it as much as others. Probably the romance and the main girl. The other aspects of it are great though. Worth watching for sure! It was still exciting and I was hardly ever bored??.

Acting/Cast: Come on! This is the first main reason why I watched this show because of Ji Chang Wook! and it helps too that Park Min Young was a great actress and they do have a lot of chemistry together.
Music: It has a great OST! I have it on my phone to listen to whenever I'm bored or something.
Re-watch value: Well? what can I say, it's a perfect five for me, I re-watched this drama like a countless times since the first time I've watched this.
Overall: This was a great watch to be honest and I was never bored in any of the episodes and it was funny and romantic too.

The backstory of the lead characters is amazing. It is interesting, well developed and not cliche at all, which sets this drama apart from the rest. There is no love triangle, but a very loving relationship between a couple and someone who takes care of them as an older brother. There also isn't any meaningless conflict just to set the leads apart - everything that happens in the story is well explained, doesn't seem forced and doesn't compromise the personalities of the characters. There is a lot of dialogue in "Healer", which doesn't allow for misunderstandings that would stall the plot.
I loved that Young Shin, played by Park Min Young, is such a strong character in her own way. In contrast to Jeong Hoo, who was physically strong and socially awkward, she was endearing and brave, even with a condition that makes her vulnerable during violent encounters. She has a few damsel in distress moments, but they are important to establish her personality and position within the story, and not just the male lead's. Their relationship is also the best I've seen in any drama so far - even with a somewhat dodgy beginning and some lies, they look for intent in every action rather than being hurt over something that just seems upsetting. There is clear respect and an insane amount of chemistry between the Ming Young and Chang Wook.
I think this drama is a must see, and it deserves every praise it gets.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I only watched this show by accident because I didn't know that this show exists and I only watched this because I felt heartbreak on DOTS Ep 13(when it was on-going). At first, I really can't understand the first episode because I don't know what Healer's purpose though; But as I watched the episodes, I carefully understand the story. Before I came on the half of the episode, I re-watched Ep 1-8 in order to understand more the story.
ON THE CHARACTERS
Ji Changwook as Seo Junghoo/Park Bongsoo/Healer - My first impression on Healer was a anti-hero lead but as the story goes on he has a good heart and he is only searching about his father's past, Healer's stunts and actions scenes amazed me and much better than City Hunter. Ji Changwook's portrayal as Healer is DOPE. He really fits this role and I FELL INLOVE WITH JI CHANGWOOK ON HEALER! <3
Park Minyoung as Chae Youngshin/Oh Ji An - One of the bravest female that I've seen even though her weakness is when she feels violated, I like the way when she is with Park Bongsoo(They also looked cute!) Park Minyoung's portrayal as Chae Youngshin also amazed me.
Yoo Ji Tae as Kim Moonho - At first I thought he's the second lead who will have a crush on the female lead but good thing is he's does not have a crush on a female lead. He's also one of the second lead that I like because he only protects the two main leads.
Kim Mi Kyung as Hacker Ahjumma/Jo Min Ja - ONE OF MY FAVORITE AHJUMMAS IN KDRAMA LAND! I was really amazed on her hacking skills! How I wish I also have her skills like her!
OVERALL PLOT/STORYLINE OF THE DRAMA
It has a small differences on City Hunter's storyline though as you watched the entire episodes it's really different, the only difference is the male lead's occupation; City Hunter is a prosecutor and a freedome justice fighter while Healer is a junior reporter and a night errand guy or night courier guy. The Good thing about Healer was he does not seek revenge about his father's past and he only wants truth behind it and also he is not a guy-with-a-gun lead.
Tbh, I have also a roller-coaster feels on this drama because you'll only not feel intense but also you feel love on main leads. Ji Changwook and Park Minyoung's Chemistry is <3 they look good together!
MORAL LESSON OF THE STORY
Truth will set you free. You don't need to hide who you are or your bad experiences because it was already done in the past and you need to move-on.
9/10. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO WATCHED CITY HUNTER. MUST-WATCH

I've watch the 20 episodes in a couple of days, I was so hooked to this serie that I couldn't stop for a day.
The acting was really good, there was a great chemistry between the main couple, and I really liked that Chae Yeong Shin was a character with a strong personality (and to see her dancing :-D). I hadn't see Ji Chang Wook before this show, and I loved him doing different roles, overall as a shy and clumsy journalist.
I didn't rate a 10/10 because I think than even if the show is really great, there are some things I would have liked they'd have a better conclusive ending. For example, what did happen with Kim Moon Hoo brother? Did his wife do something about him lying all the time? I'd have liked to see a bit more of the main coupe life after everything is resolved... So, I know they're minor things, but it would have been wonderful to see them.
The OST was ok, I really liked the main song Eternal Love.
Rewatch value: I don't usually rematch a show, except if I liked it very much (like Goblin and Strong woman Do Bong Soon), so there's a really high possibility I'll watch this show again in the future.
Overall: you should watch it... if you don't drop it before episode 3 or 4, after that it's impossible not to want to see what's going to happen.

My Kdrama Superhero HEALER
If there is a better word for, excellent, exceptional, or outstanding, I would choose that to describe the drama HEALER.●HOW I CAME TO IT
I spent like 5 years in Kdramaland but was oblivious to Ji Chang Wook,I recently came to know about him, and with the suggestions of fellow mdl’er I decided to watch Healer.
●FIRST IMPRESSION
The drama has everything - great script, amazing casts, perfect OST, and fast-paced. It's a mix of action, drama, romance, and mystery. It kept me hooked to all 20 episodes without an ounce of weariness.
●PLOT VIEW
When I started it, I thought I know the ending but the amazing twists rambled in my mind. At some moments it felt like a superhero drama. The superheroes live a normal life but also disguise themselves in their costumes and help people. In another moment the drama felt like a makjang with a birth secret. And yet another time it felt like childhood trauma, a Kdrama cliche plot. But in spite of having all this, it had remarkable entertainment.
●ACTING/CAST
Since this is my second JCW drama I had a good impression of him but let me first hype OMG!!! he shook my heart. His action and expression were like, he is made to do this character. Fangirls swooned over his hotness and gave all his dramalist but am way past there, I love good acting. I cannot imagine another actor in the role of HEALER. The duel character give a consistent growth and I got more immersed in JCW. He made his way onto my favorite actors list.
Park Min Young, I have watched her in office dramas, but here she surprised me. She played a weak lady but fearless. Even though she is struggling she still thinks to help others. JCW and PMY created phenomenal chemistry, they were not sensational but believable, subtle, and sweet.
Another character I enjoyed thoroughly was, Hacker Ajhumma, her voiceovers were amusing and most of the time she was alone working on computers. She might have acted alone like talking to someone with perfect expression is daebak.
Supporting characters Dae Young, aide girl of the healer, Choi Chi Soo, Chul Min, and Kim Moon Ho were enjoyable. Antagonist characters were also done well, otherwise, how would the protagonist look good? The baddies elder, secretary Oh, were humans who seemed fearless but had their heads shaken by the end.
●MUSIC
Whoever chose the OSTs did an excellent job. “Eternal Love” by Michael learns to rock has a soulful tune ensembled with perfect lyrics. It synced into the Healer scenes like the blood in veins.
“I’ll protect you” and the Healer theme was also mastered well.
●FAV SCENE
The snowfall kiss scene. It was so harmoniously aesthetic.
●REWATCH
It is a great drama, am surely rewatching this very soon.
●RECOMMENDATION
If anyone likes to watch excellent action and amazing acting, Healer is a must-watch.
●APPRECIATION
The action sequence was marvelous. I enjoyed each sequence without skipping. Every run, every jump, fight it was perfect. The action director did a phenomenal job.
●AFTERTHOUGHT
I will have a hard time getting over this, and If I can't find an excellent drama of this level I will be very disappointed I guess.

Pretty much had everything. Suspense, excitement, comedy, romance, thrills and fights.
Although I do have to confess, it reminds me of many shows rolled into one, still I enjoyed it a lot. (Sorry to say but I am a little partial to the hero, I have liked all his dramas, as an innocent, sweet, loveable but strong character)
I liked all the character development. And welcomed that it did not have heart wrenching heart burning scenes and people. Pretty much had likeable characters, except for our good ol baddie who wasnt that hateful either.
all episodes had enough gripping power to avoid the FF button, each ending with a strong cliff hanger. ( I have decided to end an episode in the middle, as usually the ending makes you want to keep watching, and we all have to sleep and work!) I was a bit dissapointed with the rushed ending.
Overall an interesting watch, wont mind watching again sometimes.

Plot was interesting though. I don't watch much action/drama type dramas. It's a little bit of a cliché. Typical people knew each other in the past, were separated for certain reasons, and are reconnected 20+ years later. The way it was played out wasn't too bad, can somewhat be realistic.
Cast, for the most part I loved. Especially Chang Wook. He played the Healer really well in my opinion. Yet he was able to play such an adorable office worker at the same time. He was fun to watch in this drama. Park min Young was great too, I already like her acting. Them together, chemistry wise, was perfect. As the episodes went on I just wanted to watch those two and forget about the plot.
Supporting cast, there was a lot..But the main supporting cast was a joy to watch. The Ajumma, Moon Ho, Dae Yong, and the cyber detective helped make this drama better. (especially the cyber detective towards the end!) Also, Chang Wook did an amazing job with all the fighting/stunt scenes. I'm not sure how much he did but everything looked very realistic and I loved how the camera angles were used!
Music I really didn't care for. The ending song always just sounded cheesy to me but instrumental, it was nice on the ears. But nothing really stood out to me.
Overall it was a good drama. I'm only disappointed with how things ended. A lot of points in the drama were left unanswered or they were answered in a low-key type way to give the viewer I guess a little bit of satisfaction but never really addressed them fully. So much happened in this drama maybe some things could've been left out to talk more about other things but in the end everything did make sense. (which may contradict what I'm saying but after finishing this drama I understood how everything was planned out) I just would've liked to see..more? I felt like the ending happened so quick that it didn't feel like a final so I'm left feeling a little sad with that.
I'm not 100% sure if i'll ever come back to watch this again. It was a good drama don't get me wrong and I would recommend people watch this but, It wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I might just come back to watch Chang Wook's scenes because they were A+
