My Favourites :))
My all time favourite drama's or movie's. The one's that I'd recommend to anybody.
In no particular order
-
1. Prison Playbook
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I absolutely adored this drama and will never shut up about how good it is- I highly recommend this to ANYBODY, just go watch it, you won't regret it.
Written and directed by the same people who did the Reply Series and Hospital Playlist, it will not disappoint :))

2. Encounter
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
My all-time favourite. The decisions of the main couple were always rational, always thought through (unlike so many in dramaland); like in The Beauty Inside, the main couple in Encounter truly did gain strength and confidence from each other. The romance was sweet, the main couple really do adore each other. Both my mum and I are obsessed with Park Bo Gum, he's such a great actor with such a lovely personality (+ a pretty face, it's an added bonus I guess).
-
3. Miss Independent Ji Eun
Korean Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
I learnt things from this Web Drama, and, although it was very short, I was still able to love the main couple. The FL is so independent, as the title suggests, she knows when to stick up for herself; and that's what I love the most about this drama, the FL.
-
4. Stove League
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
PLEASE go watch Hot Stove League, it's a criminally underrated drama that has such high ratings for a reason. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this drama. I tend to not watch drama's that don't have any romance, and that's why I was so surprised that I loved this one so incredibly much; now it's a drama that I re-watch so often that I can quote moments of it (even in Korean, a language that I barely speak)
-
5. Because This is My First Life
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
A drama that made me speculate on it a lot. It was a bit slow at times, but I like to believe that it was done intentionally as it shows the pace at which the main couple truly came to be. The side characters each had their own stories that I loved too, although somewhat childish sometimes, I think it was needed to make the drama seem more lighthearted compared to the slow relationship development of the main couple.
-
6. Jugglers
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I don't remember much about this as I watched it a while ago, but I think what I enjoyed the most was the budding relationship of the main couple. From enemies, to sort of friends, to lovers- it was all done so well, as well as the boss/employee relationship bits, I liked them too.
-
7. Love O2O
Chinese Drama - 2016, 30 episodes
A sweet drama, the main couple is sweet, and the supporting casts are cute and a little bit weird, but in a good way. So many swoon worthy moments in this drama.
-
8. Introverted Boss
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
The character development on both the FL and ML parts amazed me in this drama (especially the ML, I love him to bits despite his drawbacks). The storyline was crazyyyyyy, and I almost gave up because of how back and forth it was, but I'm so thankful I didn't, because it was truly all worth it by the end.
-
9. To.Jenny
Korean Special - 2018, 2 episodes
A sweet little webdrama/drama special that made my heart warm and wish for a guy to like me like the ML liked the FL.
-
10. She Was Pretty
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Just a cutesy romance drama, not much else to say. It was my 2nd ever Kdrama, so it has a special place in my heart.
-
11. Shopping King Louie
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
This is in need of a re-watch, so everything I write here is merely what I remember from when I watched it a few years ago. A quirky, lovable drama that makes you giggle and smile so easily. The main couple are so good together, with the FL taking on the role of a protector to the ML; that was probably my favourite part of the drama.
-
12. While You Were Sleeping
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
Such an intricate story line. I love the main couple so much, their push and pull dynamics made this even better. With an incredible supporting cast, and a villain who I truly learned to hate, this drama earns it's way onto this list.
-
13. Wonderful Nightmare
Korean Movie - 2015
My first Korean movie, I watched it on Youtube before I knew KissAsian or MDL existed. It's so heartwarming, the story of a broken family slowly mending and learning to love each other, despite odd circumstances.
-
14. Thirty But Seventeen
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
I re-watched this quite recently, and honestly I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first time. Despite this, I still think Thirty But Seventeen deserves to be on this list. It made me so happy when it originally aired, made me anticipate the next episodes. It has the loveliest character development, with both the FL and ML learning to truly become themselves, as worthy, loved people in society.
-
15. Reply 1997
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
I really don't know what comment to put here- Reply1997 is just well executed drama (as with all the dramas by this writer & director). Reply1997 was the first of the Reply series that I watched, and was actually one of the first dramas I ever watched (maybe first five??), and so I feel a sense of attachment to it.
-
16. No Time For Love
Korean Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
Just a super sweet webdrama, the romance was cute, and it made me smile and giggle.
-
17. The Beauty Inside
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
The the main couple is just so fierce, I feel like when they were together they got stronger; and that's how I hope the dynamics of any couple can be like.
-
18. The Beauty Inside
Korean Movie - 2015
The ML was so sweet, I aspire to have a man stay awake for 3 nights in a row just so he can spend time with me (although I don't think the scenario will ever arise in this life time, I can always dream)
-
19. Touch Your Heart
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
The main couple were just so sweet. It was just the right amount of shy ML + awkward interactions to make me happy. I really adored the FL in this drama- please please give Touch Your Heart a chance, it's an incredible drama that deserves so much more hype
-
20. Be with You
Korean Movie - 2018
Another heartwarming, tearjerker. I adore this movie, the actors did incredibly well; every time I re-watch this I end up crying more than I did the last time.
-
21. Buzzer Beat
Japanese Drama - 2009, 11 episodes
A cute little Japanese drama, the romance is sweet, although a little childish.
-
22. Reply 1988
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
Such a heartwarming, quirky drama- I watched this with my Mum and she absolutely loved it, and is now in love with Park Bo Gum.
-
23. Crash Landing on You
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
I loved that the ML wasn't rude at the start of the drama (as are so many in dramaland), the couple dynamics were incredible and the supporting cast were great too.
-
24. To My Beautiful Woo Ri
Korean Drama - 2019, 3 episodes
Just a very short, incredibly sweet, webdrama <3
-
25. Twenty
Korean Movie - 2015
A funny movie with a great cast, I watch my favourite scenes when I need a good pick-me-up. The humour in this is a bit weird, but it somehow works in a semi-vulgar way that only this movie could pull off.
-
26. Two Lights: Relumino
Korean Special - 2017, 1 episode
A very short movie that will warm your heart. It's not long, so can be easily finished quickly, so go watch it now :))
-
27. Put Your Head on My Shoulder
Chinese Drama - 2019, 24 episodes
A lovely story of young (as in early 20's love) couple and their sweet moments, not to be missed if you want something fluffy with basically no conflict at all.
-
28. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
Anybody who was on MDL in 2020 will know the adoration basically the whole community has for this drama. Tbh I didn't start watching this drama until it had almost all aired, I just wasn't really in the mood for a historical, 50 episodes drama at the time- and wowee do I regret not getting on the hype train until it had almost passed. I can't really explain the emotions this drama made me feel; at times I was so depressed and mad at the way this drama was progressing, and then suddenly something would happen and everything made sense and I was giggling whilst watching the main characters chase chickens. Also, the novel this drama is adapted from is incredible, if anybody would like the link to the English translations please DM me and I will happily supply it.
-
29. Je Ne Veux Pas être Amie avec Toi
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
The story that the drama follows is so heartwarming and sweet, I cried so many times but in an, 'oh my god I'm so happy', sort of way. I recommend this drama to everyone, it has a bit of everything; time travelling, parental relationships, friendship, romance, drama- and so I can ensure that you'll enjoy it just as much as I do every time a watch it.
-
30. Flower of Evil
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I really don't vibe with thriller dramas, and therefore tend to not watch them as much as I watch cutesy romance; BUT this drama is the exception. It's just so well written, I was so enthralled with it and would go and force my mum to listen to my opinions on each episode after I'd watched it despite: 1. My mum not watching the drama nor having the intention to 2. My mum not really being interested at all and telling me to rack off. I just felt the need to debrief and talk through my thoughts in regards to the drama- anyway, go watch Flower of Evil!
-
31. Sweet Teeth
Chinese Drama - 2021, 22 episodes
I think this drama is the fluffiest, sweetest drama I have every watched- I was giggling and blushing so often, and would quite frequently go back a repeat a scene a few times just because it was so sweet that I felt as if I needed to see it again. If you're looking for a cute drama with almost no conflict and good side couples this is the one for you :))
-
32. Memorials
Korean Drama - 2020, 32 episodes
So I'm only now (August of 2021) just realising that this drama hasn't been on this list, I somehow thought it was already on here woops. Anyway, such a fun drama. I absolutely love the main couple, I don't think I was ever annoyed or disappointed with the FL and her choices. She just was so amazing and fun and full of gumption and I adore her. <3 <3 <3 join my Goo Sera best girl squad.

33. Secrets in the Lattice
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
-
34. Don't Think of Interrupting My Studies
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
-
35. Reset
Chinese Drama - 2022, 15 episodes
A lot of the time when I watch a fantasy/mystery drama I am quite confused throughout the majority of the drama, not to say I don't enjoy them- but sometimes the drama deliberately confuses the audience to keep the ending a mystery until they want to have the final reveal. What I liked about this drama was that it was NOT like that, I could follow the story and understood what was going on at all times. That doesn't mean I knew what was going to happen, and that I wasn't still excited when new information was presented to us- I just could rationalise everything and could process it and I was really thankful for that. I really, highly recommend this drama for anybody who enjoyed Someday or One Day.

36. Jimi ni Sugoi! Koetsu Garu Kono Etsuko
Japanese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes
I loved this drama so much more than I expected to, and I think I am seriously in love with the FL lol. She was just so fun and cool, I really enjoyed watching her. I liked the way she dressed, I liked the way she stood up for herself and others, and I liked the way she was just friendly and willing to give things a go. I just liked her.

37. Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2022, 9 episodes
-
38. Orange Days
Japanese Drama - 2004, 11 episodes
