Gay movies/dramas
A list of all the gay/lgbtq+ movies/dramas I've watched so far.
Any censored romances will be specified as such, as will any series where I've written too much, and therefore had to post a review instead.
In regards to recommendation specifics:
Yes: Either means that I really enjoyed it or that I believe most other people would like it.
Yes and no: Either means that I didn't particularly enjoy it or that there were some messages/choices I didn't like.
No: Either means that it was a sad/tragic ending, not really a BL, or that it was plain bad.
I also feel the need to add that, obviously, my opinions can differ from others, and my reviews are solely based on MY feelings. Maybe you would thoroughly enjoy a series/movie that I, for lack of a better word, disliked. My reviews can also be quite harsh sometimes. I am just a person who feels very deeply about, well, most things. I don't (usually) mean to offend anyone, and I respect that we all have our own feelings about stuff. The last thing I want is for someone to write something negative/hateful on this list or on anything that has to do with me. I do NOT want it in my life, so if you do disagree with my way of thinking/doing things, please just pretend I don't exist. Thanks!
(Can you tell I'm terrified of judgment and criticism?)

So, this was slow-burn done wrong. It was so incredibly boring. I have never watched a more awkwardly-paced series. Nothing made sense. Nothing mattered. Was there even a plot? None of the couples had any chemistry. Vich and Prem as a couple made me extremely uncomfortable. I'm sure a lot of the actors actually can act, but the script and the excruciatingly long scenes fucked them over. They all felt like robots. The guy playing Vich was especially stiff. Their lines were also delivered with so many intervals. I literally almost forgot what the conversations were even about by the time they uttered the last words. I didn't care for any of the characters. Aek had zero emotions. Aue lost me when he forced himself upon Aek. I didn't care about any of the extensive amounts of pointless side characters. There was just no need for this to end how it did. It felt empty. It was happy, yet I felt dead on the inside. I don't think I could ever rewatch this. Watching it once was already dreadful enough. I really wish I could say something good about this. I don't know if I liked anything, though. I mean, even the food bored me. My high hopes probably resulted in the extreme disappointment I felt.
There was a kiss.
Happy ending.

Someone else wrote "Don't bother with this version. It's episodes 1 & 2 of "Crank Up" cut, squeezed into 47 minutes and somehow made worse." I'll just trust them. I also don't even know where to find this version. So, I'll link the normal one.

Finally, a BL series that didn't bore me. To be fair, it wasn't a very long series, so maybe that helped. The writing was good. The acting was great. I loved the character's reactions. I'm not going to lie. After watching the first episode, I feared it would become too much, mostly because of Akafuji's obsession with Hajime. It was a bit much, but it was also innocent in this instance. There was chemistry, and even though the series often revolved around the fact that they would eventually have to kiss, a kiss isn't all that important for a show like this. It's kind of reminiscent of Cherry Magic. It relied on sincere feelings and pure love, not physical intimacy.
There was a kiss

I found it boring and confusing. This movie could easily have been halved. I've never cared much for super interpretive movies. Ji Hyeon most likely committed suicide. I know that much, at least. It was just sad and enraging. There were so many homophobes. Although, I think the housemates were purposefully misinformed. I wasn't sure about them. There were some intimate moments, but most of it was either vague or, well, BJ's. Hey, at least the acting was good. Another thing, I don't know why Won Chang is listed as having a significant role. He was literally only there for like two minutes. I was excited to see more of his acting, so to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

This was surprisingly really enjoyable. The acting was great. The kisses were actually pleasant and realistic. The chemistry was good. This was a BL filled with cliches, but it didn't make me roll my eyes in annoyance. I really liked Si Won and his character development. He was quite a complex character. Da Un was also nice. He just disappointed me a bit in the last episodes. That said, overall, I thought they were both good characters that were flawed but likable. I don't know. This just made me feel some type of way, like in a good way. It wasn't too serious nor too fluffy. It fitted my preferences almost perfectly. The subtle GL also made me happy. I was so glad that there were absolutely no non-consensual things happening. Yes, Da Un kissed Si Won without much warning. He did give him plenty of time afterward to stop him from continuing, though. I do have some critiques. At times I felt a little left out. I wasn't always able to understand what was happening. Also, the ending left several things unresolved. Basically, I would like another season.

I kind of got bored in the second half. It moved very slowly. I almost felt like the series was too long. The plot seemed to not be going anywhere. I kept hoping it would get more interesting. I liked the characters, but they honestly didn't have much chemistry. The acting was good. I mean, Inukai is great, but I don't know why he keeps staring in BL's when he doesn't seem to be comfortable with his co-stars. When I saw he was the main character in this, I already knew there wouldn't be any intimacy, and I was right. Anyway, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't for me, I guess?

The acting was okay. The chemistry between Aiden and Danny was on and off. Their kisses were great, though. Charm and Danny fighting over Aiden was silly. I appreciated Charm being civil about it and speaking up when enough was enough, but they both deserved better than subjecting themselves to that amount of pain. The man they were competing over was a cheater anyway. Aiden was understandably confused about his sexuality, but that did not give him the right to play with their feelings. Then there was Bench. He was a good guy. He let Danny go because he truly cared. Mika started as a stalker. She also technically raped Rico. I mean, he was drunk, and he had also just told her that he was gay. That whole relationship made no sense. Rico was gay, but he ended up falling for a girl? Sure, you can simultaneously be only sexually attracted to people of the same gender and be hetero/bi/panromantic, but he seemed genuinely attracted to her. I didn't get it. It almost felt like he stayed in the closet in fear of his parents disowning him. The trans character in this was actually not bad. She wasn't super predatory like most trans characters are in these BL's. Jamie and Josh's ending was unsatisfying, to say the least. Lastly, the music parts were not great. I was not convinced they were an actual boyband.
There were kisses and steamy scenes,
Happy ending.

Kim Sung Hyun was the highlight of the series. Both his acting and his character were the best parts. The acting was good overall, though. The story was pretty silly. The writing wasn't great either. It was rather predictable. I didn't really like the couples. I didn't think the main couple had chemistry, only as friends. I think it was mostly due to the fact that I found Ki Sub unlikable. He wasn't a bad person. He was just annoying. The second couple did have chemistry. I just think that second couples exist to relieve any tension that may be between the main couple. In this, the second couple was stressful, hence why I didn't care for them. Lastly, the ending was underwhelming. Overall, it was okay.

I get what they were going for, but it was just a bit confusing and boring. The acting was okay but somewhat stiff at times. The romance parts were fine, but with that ending, it wasn't good enough for it to be worth it, in my opinion. Plus, early on, Hesen, after seeing a random guy kiss Lin Xi, said, "If he can, I can." By that, he meant he had a right to Lin Xi's body, I guess? That's a big no-no. The director Fan Hui was incredibly disgusting and manipulative. He was basically forcing Lin Xi, who he was obsessed with, to star in his movies. He couldn't just let him go. He didn't love him. He was just besotted. He pushed him to the point of wanting to take his own life. He invaded his privacy. He was nothing but scum. The movie that they were shooting was like an adaptation of Fan Hui and Lin Xi's relationship. It portrayed how he blackmailed Lin Xi to be with him essentially. The ending was stupid. How would murder solve anything? Also, why would Lin Xi protect his abuser? Lastly, the fact that they almost compared this to The Untamed on GagaOOLala is laughable. This was nothing like it. At this point, I'm desperate for a good historical BL.

My, it was hard to watch. Only Li Yang's mother and Feng Xiao'ao were decent human beings. The film touched on bullying, homophobia, and almost being pushed over the edge. This time, though, it actually ended well. Anyway, overall it focused more on bullying than any romantic relationship.

Nilo murdered three people. He raped two other people and also attempted to rape one other person. He was just a great guy all around... or not. He was absolutely disgusting. There was zero romance in this. It was pure crime and abuse. I don't know what the ending was about. Was I supposed to believe that there was any love between Nilo and Rhenan? I'm not sure. I wanted more from this. Everything was just underwhelming. There were a lot of the common problems we see in BL's that are way too short. The final episode was such bullshit. They really copped out. The writing was self-aware yet played into what it seemed to be condemning. I didn't really get it. The acting was okay, considering it's their first time, and they aren't really actors. They had more chemistry in their MV's, to be honest. I couldn't tell if the kiss was real, but due to them just teasing a kiss in the last episode, I'm led to believe that it wasn't. Yes, they are in a group together, but so were the leads from Love in Translation, and they had no problems with kissing. Fake kisses and constant teasing are worse than no kisses. Overall, I think they should have made this somehow related to the stories they've already created in their MV's because that would have been more interesting to watch.

It's a no from me. This suggested that they could only be together as a man and a woman. Like, did they really have to die to, I guess, start over? In Woo never loved Hyun Bin. I had forgotten what happened in the first couple of episodes because of the long break. That made the overall story quite confusing. There wasn't much chemistry between the leads, and the girl gave such mixed messages. At times I couldn't tell whether she was trying to get them together or split them apart. "Call It What You Want" could have been so much more. I didn't hate this season by any means, it was just way too fast-paced, and frankly, I was disappointed. They brushed over Bas attempting suicide. They rushed through Bas and Marco's relationship developing into more than friendship. I mean, Marco had just gotten rejected by someone else. They also brushed over Tee being a literal rapist. They had built up to that moment where everything would be out in the open for the entire series, and it was so underwhelming and almost laughable. Did he even get punished? It was literally the premise of the show, and it felt like an after-thought. They made it more about Ait and James than the actual victims. Two people who made me sigh every time they appeared on my screen. Ait was still unbearable and immature. James was still a doormat. They were not good together, in my opinion. All that said, I loved Bas and Marco together so much. They were pretty much the only reason to watch this. They should give Michael and Daniel a different series. A longer series, and as the main couple, that is. Their acting was great. Michael is just on another level.

To start, it was actually only fifty-five minutes long. The rest was BTS content. Although it was very wholesome and cute, the fake kissing was quite ridiculous. Why have them "kiss" if we're not even going to see it? It added an unneeded layer of cringe. Maeda's lack of confidence was exhausting. I get that it's hard to have low self-esteem, but he took it the extra mile. I have literally nothing bad to say about Yagii. He was the perfect partner. Two episodes just aren't enough. It got so confusing when they rushed through it like that. That said, half of the second episode felt like a waste of time. It was nothing but crying and, well, dying. So, yeah, spoiler... Pluem technically didn't end up with Khunkhao. His second chance at life was nothing more than an opportunity to tie up loose ends. It was honestly pretty unsatisfying to have him go through all that effort just to die again. It was inevitable, but still. Also, I don't get why Khunkhao would date Kim after Pluem left his body. If it were me, I would want nothing to do with him. I mean, he didn't seem like a good guy, and your fucking sister used to date him. That's weird and shitty. Anyway, the acting was good. They worked with what they were given. It wasn't like they had no chemistry, but the limited time ruined it for me.

I was pretty excited about this, but the quality just dropped with each episode. I got so fed up with Wee and San's family members constantly calling out for him when he had his daily pain fits. It was as if it was new to them every time. I would estimate that great-great-grandfather and San were said at least a hundred times. Don't even get me started on the amount of crying there was. I get that there were a lot of serious subjects being portrayed, but I still got progressively more and more tired of seeing Wee crying, even if Offroad is a great actor. That really was the best thing about this series. The acting was really good. Offroad and Daou also gave amazing chemistry. Lastly, I feel the need to mention San's treatment of Wee in the early episodes. There is a difference between not liking another man because you're straight and then being straight-up homophobic. San was definitely exuding some strong internalized homophobia at the beginning. It rubs me the wrong way when that is romanticized. Anyway, overall, I just thought this would have benefitted from being shorter to avoid being so repetitive.

Bad writing, bad action scenes, bad characters. This series really had it all. I actually thought the acting was good. It was just too bad that it felt cringey because of the directing and script. I would say the main couple did have some chemistry. I just didn't feel anything for them as people. Ken was especially annoying. The side couple was laughable. Goodness, they felt so mismatched. Also, the ending sucked ass. They could have given us just about anything, and they gave us nothing.

It was literally all the cliches in just about twelve minutes. The ending was super rushed. Honestly, even in a series that is only one minute an episode, episode eleven still managed to be the cursed one. I have to assume they do it on purpose at this point. There was so much to unpack here. It definitely wasn't a cutesy BL. Jeniffer, the mother, and Jay were absolutely crazy. Dong didn't really do much wrong. I felt bad for him. He seemed to really love Vee. I won't say much about Vee. You should watch it and find out about him instead. The real MVP was Allen. He was a great friend. The acting was good, by the way. The ending made it seem as if there will be another season, so that is exciting.

Well. This was probably the most disappointing BL series ever. The hype ultimately became its downfall. I think the special episode left most viewers excited to watch the actual release, but this was so bad. The writing was boring, cliche, unimaginative, silly, and irritating. I have never skipped through so much of a BL before. I have no idea how they managed to make the episodes so long when there was literally no sustenance. I guess the writers thought we would look past the horridness that was this series if they implemented the occasional sex scene. Just no. The "sex scenes" weren't good either. It wasn't the actor's fault, though. They gave it their all. I'm fully aware that Chahub and Best are very comfortable with each other and do have genuinely good chemistry under the right circumstances. I don't know how they managed to ruin their potential to that extent. The characters were pretty much all bad. They were either annoying, horrible, or both. I only liked Ice. Everyone else was expendable.

I mean, it wasn't good, but it was still better than the entire series. The writing didn't really make sense, but eh, we shouldn't expect too much from these writers. Ice and Tee's relationship was very unexpected, and maybe it didn't make a whole lot of sense, but I liked Ice so much that I was willing to ignore it. Tee still wasn't my favorite, but both Daonuea and Nine were worse. Basically, I wasn't mad at them for getting together. All that said, I desperately hope that this was the last of Check Out.

A few critiques; The hotel worker was so creepy and was not needed in this. The bed scene, although it was good, the consent was dubious. Nine did not seem drunk at all, while Daonuea definitely was under the influence. I'm quite fed up with the drunk trope in BL's. Also, leaving Daonuea to wake up alone afterward was a shitty thing to do. Despite all that, I will look forward to the actual series because they did have great chemistry, and it's not a school setting. The acting was also good.

Well, I mostly liked it. I really liked how clingy Tae Sung was and how cute Hae Bom was. I liked the acting. At first, I thought Kang Hui's acting was stiff, but I then realized it was just his character putting up a front. They had chemistry and felt like an actual couple. Their kisses were convincing and not half-assed. The story was pretty cliche, though. All that said, after episode five, I didn't feel as excited about it. Tae Sung tried to forcibly kiss Hae Bom. Yes, he did apologize, but personally, if I were Hae Bom, I would've felt unsafe around Tae Sung after that. If episode five hadn't happened, I would have rated this higher.

It was by no means bad, but it's hard not to compare it to the Japanese adaption because it's probably my favorite BL of all time. So, in comparison to that, it wasn't as good, but in comparison to most Thai BL's airing lately, it was heaps better. When it comes to the main couple I think they stayed mostly true to the source material. I still think the Japanese version did a better job of really selling the characters to me. The only thing they did better was the kisses. Well, of course, they did. There were no kisses in the other one. It was just nice to know that because it was Thai they weren't going to hold back. I also think it's the most chemistry and best kisses New and Tay have ever had. The second couple was better than in the Japanese version, but that's probably because they kind of changed the characters. To be honest, I was happy they did. I think they were better like this. It didn't feel as awkward and like there was a huge age gap between them. Anyway, I haven't read all of the books yet, so I don't know how accurate some of the later episodes were. I can only say that I think some things were unnecessary. That's another thing I loved about the other version. The pacing was perfect. In this, I did get a little bored at times. Hey, at least I can say that episode eleven wasn't cursed!! I can't remember the last time that happened. Overall, I think they did well.

It was definitely a lot more serious than the series. There were many moments that I really liked, but I couldn't help but feel like it was dragging at times. When they were coming out to their parents, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I've never liked it when they want us to think that they won't be accepted. It's often a really traumatizing part of being queer and isn't a joking matter. Anyway, I still love both characters and I loved seeing them mature. That said, I felt like the movie needed more light-hearted moments between them to make it more enjoyable to sit through. I also felt like their chemistry was less noticeable due to the writing. Don't even get me started on the fake kiss. I would rather have had no kiss or a hug than a fake kiss. The ending confused me. Did they get married or not? Either way, I thought the proposal was sort of underwhelming and too vague. Tsuge and Minato were a very little part of this, but I quite liked their one emotional scene. Overall, I didn't think it was an unworthy sequel. I just would have made some different choices.
Fake kiss.

Well, well, well. Was it my kind of series? No, not really. I always feel a bit wary when it involves, first of all, plots that are set up from the start to possibly feature an unsatisfying ending, but also animals getting turned into humans to then get romantic with their former owners. Sorry, that was a lot to swallow. I just couldn't get over Jungwoo being able to be intimate with his former dog. I could never. That's why I much preferred the second couple. Uncle, as they called him, didn't know anything about Choco and Milk's true identities. That made it much less weird for me. All that said, it was surprisingly wholesome all around. It was, in general, a light-hearted, slightly silly series, which is nice once in a while. The ending was a bit rushed and not the most well-written, though. The acting was good. The kisses weren't half-assed. I liked the cast's chemistry. Overall, it was good enough. There wasn't anything offensive about it whatsoever.

I almost made it to the end but it got progressively more and more uninteresting. I also didn't think Porsche sold his character at all. I couldn't get myself to like him. The only thing that kept me from dropping it earlier on was Fueang. He is probably one of the most likable and nice BL main characters in a long time. Sadly, one good character can't save an entire series. It wasn't well written. The leads didn't have chemistry. The story goes on and on.

I don't know why this exists. It was incredibly pointless. The writing was simply terrible. Just those six episodes felt way too long. Of all the BL series, who wanted a second season of this? The actors deserved better. I genuinely think Kimmon and Copter could achieve so much more, but they seem to be stuck with these silly and, frankly, bad scripts. They need to try more serious roles. It's too much of the same. Ohm and Fluke seriously didn't belong in this. They have already shown that they are capable of way more. Once again, I blame the writing. You can only do so much with badly written characters. Pierce was still a terrible boyfriend and closeted. It's fine if you're not ready to come out, but then you also shouldn't get into a relationship. How many times do I have to say this? To no one's surprise, Typhoon was still childish. Jedi had no boundaries. When you try to make up with someone amidst live-streaming, you basically force them into responding. It's quite manipulative. Then there was Ray. He gave up on their relationship real quick. That's a red flag to me. Also, They seem to be planning yet another season that no one asked for. They should spend their resources on something actually worthwhile.

Goodness, what a plethora of plot twists. You really couldn't trust anyone, not even the protagonist. They were a bunch of manipulators. Of course, some were worse than others. I can't really say too much without spoiling the whole thing, though. Although Preuk was in the wrong for being a so-called homewrecker, he did at least acknowledge it. Sin was the cheater, not Preuk. Preuk wasn't the one in a relationship. I don't remember Sin ever apologizing for literally anything. Preuk was actually quite clever, and frankly, I liked him. He did some things I didn't appreciate, but he was being put through serious mental abuse. I still don't understand the motive behind it all? Everyone just betrayed each other. Preuk ended up alone, which in this case, was a good thing. He got to start over and find true happiness. The acting was great. I thought all the mains did well.

Ugh, just ugh. This series honestly made me nauseous. The main couple bored me to death. I was excited to see Pavel act again, but this was not what I was expecting. Both of the characters sucked. Duean Yi was creepy. His flirting was enough to make me want to puke. Plengrak was the kind of person who'd just ignore you when things got even slightly complicated. I have no idea why either of them liked the other. The writing was bad. The plot was non-existent. I did not care whatsoever about the band or just any of the music business. The straight couple was yet another unnecessary addition. The side couple was the best part, and even they weren't that great. I'm happy it's over.

This had immense potential. The execution was where it fell a bit short. In one of the episodes specifically, the editing was a bit choppy, as if something was missing. Of course, that was to be expected when the episodes were so short. I do think they tried their best with the amount of time they had, though. Heo Hyun Jun felt a bit stiff at times. Yoo Jun was great. I think the concept was enticing. Unfortunately, they couldn't explore the story fully in this season. So hopefully, there'll be another season that can bring some closure. There was a kiss, and even though it was just a touch-and-freeze kiss, it was better than a fake kiss. Some people didn't think they had chemistry, but I thought otherwise. That one scene with the color palette was electrifying. Despite some of the minor mistakes, I found myself impatiently looking forward to every episode.

Oh, I don't know. I liked the story, and I thought it was more cohesive than the first season. The acting was great. I liked the new love interest. He reminded me of Yoo Han, but better. Yeon Woo and Se Hyun had chemistry. Then tragedy struck just when everything was so perfect. They really tricked us. At first, I didn't expect there to be romance in this due to Yoo Han being gone, but then they released that trailer where Se Hyun was about to kiss Yeon Woo. Right, so spoiler ahead. The kiss was just in Se Hyun's imagination. Sure, it made sense that Yeon Woo probably wouldn't like him back because he still loved his boyfriend, who he spent all of the first season falling for, but it was still disappointing. Frankly, I preferred Se Hyun. He really cared about Yeon Woo. I do want a season three, and it makes sense for Yoo Han to come back, but I don't really want him to. I would have been satisfied if it ended with Se Hyun and Yeon Woo getting together. Also, about the kiss. It was rather dry. I thought it would be better than the kiss in the first season, but it was on the same level, I'd say. I also think the first initial kiss was fake. I had hoped to see more of Yeon Woo's friends since I'm pretty sure they are a couple in the novel. They weren't really significant here, though. Anyway, I would recommend this because of the plot, not the one-sided love.

There were no gay relationships in this movie. The main character was gay and in love with his best friend. Unfortunately, that love was unrequited. It was basically a story about coming out, as the title would suggest. Luckily most of the people he came out to accepted it. I couldn't tell whether I was supposed to view their relationship as platonic or more than that? The scene where the man rubs the boy's back was a little questionable. It was so tame and uneventful. All the conflict was cliche and unnecessary. I didn't like Gun and Off's characters at all. They were both mind-numbingly boring. I was also so disappointed by their lack of chemistry. Their kisses sucked ass in this series. I don't know what happened. They were great together in Not Me. I guess it was a mixture of the writing, directing, and characters being less than great that made the whole thing underwhelming. At least I liked the second couple. Neo and Aungpao have undeniable chemistry. That said, their real-life age gap is kind of gross. Aungpao is only seventeen, while Neo is a fully grown adult. I'm just happy they didn't kiss. Other than that, I thought it was pointless to add Jane and Samsi as a couple in the last episode. No one wanted that. I was really hoping for Samsi and Metha to get together in some way. It would have been great to see some more representation in BL's. It's almost exclusively people who fit into today's beauty standards that get cast in the romance genre in general. Anyway, overall, I expected more from a series that features such seasoned actors. Also, please, no more food-related BL's. I can't.

I'll start by saying I really liked the acting, the original plot, the fact that their kisses didn't suck, and the chemistry between Mamiya and Sahashi. That said, there were, of course, things that could have been better or just different. I thought that Mamiya needed some character development. He was very insecure and somewhat manipulative. Like Sahashi said himself, Mamiya would constantly make decisions for others. He still hadn't changed much in the last episode. I did appreciate that he, as maybe the only BL character ever, actually decided to send a text being honest to Sahashi about his feelings. They always delete that shit, and it's so frustrating. Sahashi was a bit of a brat at times, but I honestly quite liked him. Anyway, they did have a lot of sweet moments. I just didn't like that Sahashi kissed Mamiya without consent in the first episode. I also need to mention how creepy creepy, and low-key rapey Nanjo was. What did he contribute to the series? Lastly, the ending was super anticlimactic to me. It felt rushed. Overall, it was worth watching, but it wasn't extraordinarily interesting.

This was hardly a BL. Yes, there was a kiss, and the supposed plot was about finding a soulmate, but that was very easy to forget with everything else that was going on. It was also just plain bad. I have no idea what audience they were trying to appeal to with this mess of a show. I can't even care enough to get into the specifics. There was so much wrong with it. The story was pretty cliche. The best part was the acting and the chemistry. Earth and Mix are great together. I did like that even though Lin and Win switched bodies, most of the time, we saw Win as himself. A man. I was scared this was straight shit pretending to be BL. Korn never saw Win as Lin. Win and Korn always liked each other. They were just in denial. Anyway, I didn't like Win. Korn was a literal angel. He was so attentive and caring. Win, on the other hand, was way too temperamental. He was legit scary in the first episode. Yes, he was cute and fun at times, and he did become a better person. It was just the initial unwillingness to take any responsibility that got to me. Lastly, I want to address the mother. In all of this, I would almost say she was worse than the aunt. I mean, not really, but man, she pissed me off. I won't say why. Just know that she sucks.

It was fairly average. I mean, the acting was good. The chemistry was also good. The plot was just stupid to me. The relationships of two out of three couples were quite unhealthy, or dare I say toxic? There was literally non-consensual kissing in the very first episode. Lian and Yi both bothered me. Lian kept forcing Kuea, and Yi basically treated Diao like a child. Both of them were also incredibly secretive. To be fair, so were Diao and Kuea. There was so much lying and deception. It wasn't until the last episode everything was out of the bag. Oh my, and the proposals. I wanted to die. This may be a weird thing to complain about, but there was almost too much kissing. I honestly got tired of watching Kuea and Lian make out. Sure, they were good at it, but it was all the time in the last few episodes. I was glad Max and Nat had a proper kiss, though. Nuea and Syn were my saving grace. They had such few scenes, but I'm very intrigued to see more of Tutor and Yim. I also loved to see them supporting same-sex marriage. It tried, I guess. It was just too real. I'm over almost every single Filipino BL using Covid as a plot. It's too soon. Also, it often results in death, which further enforces the idea that gay people don't get their happy-ever-after. The acting was fairly good. The chemistry was okay, but sort of ruined, by, well, one of them dying. I'm not sure what the cooking portions were for?

Honestly, I would rather watch almost anything else than teenage boys senselessly fighting each other. It was so dumb. Do boys normally walk around in groups of like a hundred? Also, this might be a good time to mention that one of them even stabbed someone. Were there any consequences? Well, of course not. The dumbest thing was that most of this fighting revolved around one girl. This is why I avoid straight romance. The BL couple in this had about one to two minutes of screen time together. Literally. Had they been a bigger part of the story, it could actually have been interesting. Like, how did they meet? They were from rival gangs, after all. The ending could also be described as just a teensy weensy bit gay. It did look like the last kiss was fake, though.

In a way, I admire the actors for agreeing to star in this. This was very explicit, basically soft porn, but make it BDSM. So Ryoji raped and held Katsuragi hostage because he wanted him to realize he didn't actually want to die? That doesn't seem right. Rape is always wrong. You can never justify it. Ryoji could have gone about it in so many other less criminal and wrong ways. I'm not sure I believe Katsuragi really loved Ryoji in the end. How could he? The man mentally and physically tortured him. It was probably Stockholm syndrome. Despite all that, I regrettably don't dislike this that much.

More wasted potential. Perth and Chimon are both good actors, and they do have chemistry, just not in a romantic way. Chimon is very obviously not comfortable with intimate scenes. I don't know if it's because it's with another man or what, but it did make their romance somewhat not believable. The plot was generic. It was just another school-related BL. There was also the everlasting enemies-to-lovers trope. Kanghan was an actual bully in the first few episodes, though. He changed very quickly. It wasn't realistic. So, to say the writing was top dollar would be a lie. Nipdao and Pimfah felt like an afterthought—the token lesbian couple. Nawa and Guy were okay. I do think they have chemistry. Marc and Pawin have definitely improved since their first time being a couple. I just didn't like how nasty they were towards each other for the majority of the series. Name and Saifah could have been interesting, but they were quite underdeveloped as a couple. Overall, I had hoped that it would've been less silly considering the title of the series, and I also wanted something more than just school drama with a dash of crime.

This is probably the first BL I've ever watched where I genuinely thought the main leads were awful. All they did was cheat on their partners. They didn't even hesitate. They truly deserved each other. I can't believe Jimmy turned out to be better than Yan Fei. Hai Qing was the worst of them all. He was a bad friend, son, and, most of all, boyfriend. Why did two men fall for such a selfish, hot-tempered asshole? I was seriously so mad at him throughout most of the series. Also, my biggest problem wasn't that they did all those things. It was that their terrible actions were condoned and almost encouraged. The cheaters were happy and learned nothing. Anyway, Hai Qing's dad wasn't actually that bad. He didn't support Hai Qing's choice of study at first, but he did end up accepting it. He was also supportive of him being gay. Yan Fei's mom was your typical homophobic parent. Hai Qing's granddad and Pin Jun were the best characters. Poor Pin Jun, honestly. He deserved so much better. He was just an angel. Even till the end, all he wanted was for Hai Qing to be happy. I couldn't help but cry for him. I have never felt so bad for a second lead before. I mean, they would literally cheat right in front of him with no shame. In the last few episodes, there was literally no plot. I was so bored during most of it. The acting wasn't great. The lack of music in certain scenes was awkward. All that this series had got going for itself was the decent kisses.

Non was horrible. It didn't matter how he was treated at home. He chose to be a bad person. I mean, at one point, he even tried to force himself on Kao, and then, later on, he didn't just deny it, but he said Kao was the one that tried to force him. Of course, it was also Pete and Kao's fault. Pete didn't trust Kao. He also didn't consider Kao's situation. Kao was too kind, and he also lied. If only Kao had just told Pete. Well, I guess we wouldn't have a series then. In the end, they did work it out. I just would have liked for there to be some consequences for all of the things Non did. Pete's dad and Kao's mom were lovely. Pete's dad was so cute. I wanted to squeeze him. Sun and Mork sometimes frustrated me. Sun was pretty selfish. He pushed Mork away when he hadn't done anything, and then when Sun started missing him, he asked for forgiveness. He also forcibly kissed Mork at one point and was, in general, quite pushy. Honestly, Mork was the best out of all the main characters. All the fights we saw him get into were to help others. He seriously listened to Sun's words, and that only got him into more trouble. What saved them was their cute moments and their chemistry. Overall they were mostly a nice addition to the story. I liked that there was actual recognition of one's sexuality and the hardships that come with it. That said, they often called Kao Pete's wife. That wasn't very progressive. The acting was good. The couples also had great chemistry. I liked the banter, the growth, and the friendship in this series. The series was quite dramatic and hard to get through at times. Lastly, all the female characters were good. Refreshing, isn't it?

That was a lot. The real horror was how horrible pretty much all of the characters were. I can't say I liked any of them. White was obviously the least fucked up one, but even then, I didn't really care about his well-being. I wish it had been more focused on the present because it was really difficult to get through the bullying. The gore I can handle just fine. The series also was by no means about romance, which is why I wouldn't recommend it to anyone hoping that it was. Anyway, other than that, I thought the series was too long. It was somewhat repetitive. I also thought the final episode was disappointing. The entire episode was basically just hallucinations. The ending even suggested that it wasn't over. All I can say is that I would like a different BL with Ta and Copper as a proper couple. They had chemistry. Oh, and the acting was pretty good overall.

I found it rather boring. The plot was just not interesting enough for it to have twelve episodes. The acting wasn't great. Some did better than others. I didn't really like the characters. Prakan was so fucking annoying. He kept blaming Tua for everything. The man was just doing his job. I really don't know why Tua was that adamant about being in love with him, of all people. I also found it very weird how Tua basically seemed to love and watch over Prakan since he was a literal child. The ending made it even creepier. I don't know how they didn't realize how wrong that looked. They did have chemistry, but the terrible writing made it seem like they didn't. Kheeta was an okay character, I guess. I found him cute at times. It did take him way too long to give up on Prakan, though. Nathee sucked. He was such a brat. He kept pushing Kheeta away, although he was the one who initiated a relationship. You could really feel the insecurity. Also, their kisses were awful. Metha and Nuch were another pointless side couple. Did anyone care? Why would Nuch like someone as hateful as Metha? Sure, he had a nice side, but it took way too long for him to show it. All in all, there was a lot of room for improvement.

I dropped it after five episodes. I didn't like any of the characters. I especially didn't like Khem. He was downright nasty to Wela. He made out with and let Wela pleasure him when Wela was still drunk. Wela didn't even remember it the day after. Right after they got together Khem started slut-shaming Wela. He also sexually harassed him twice. He was so mad at the customers when he was the one truly making Wela uncomfortable. Ken, Seiji, and Japan were painful to bear witness to. Both Ken and Japan were being super pushy toward Seiji. They never really cared what he wanted. The plot wasn't interesting. The acting was fine. It's just another Thai BL trying to make up for the lack of any actually good plot by throwing in a lot of sex scenes.

It was actually somewhat stereotypical. Most of the queer men in this were feminine. That isn't correct. Like, Top at one point had to prove he was gay, and to do that, he made his wrists limp. Unfortunately, they also used the wife thing often. It was just weird because there was a lot of genuinely good representation too. I don't even know. There were homophobic parents as well, who basically caused the only gay couple to split up. Great. I also found Kim and Golf to be very uncomfortable touchy with some men. It was pretty predatory. Gus and Top were the only ones that mattered. I really wanted them to be happy. Gus was such a cute but strong character. The plot was quite non-sensical most of the time. I wasn't sure what the plot even was. Some of the humor was too much for me. The acting was fine. There wasn't a lot of intimacy in this.

It was mostly on par with the first season. Maybe it was less humorous? Sadly, they slightly ruined Gus' character. I was so uncomfortable with the way Gus treated Top and Win. Both of them were great and deserved better. I would have been happy no matter who he ended up with of the two. Gus broke Top's heart twice. It was admirable how understanding and patient Top was. As for Win, he shouldn't have forgiven Gus. Win had done nothing wrong. Basically, the whole situation was disappointing and made me lose respect for Gus. Also, Gus and Top had more chemistry than Gus and Win. Gus and Win almost seemed like friends. Also, Gus and Top kissed, but Gus and Win didn't. Of course, people would root for Top then. I was happy that Golf found someone who genuinely cared. It was just dumb how he lied about something so serious. No, they didn't have unprotected sex at any point, but he still shouldn't have lied. Nat also found someone, and frankly, I was crushing hard. Pink was such a gem. I was satisfied with the way Kim and Tam's situation was resolved. That said, they spent so much time trying to make us feel bad for Kim when he literally raped Tam. Listen. DRUNK PEOPLE CAN NOT CONSENT, EVER. What Kim did was so wrong. How could he expect Tam to be okay with it? He was working with the man who took advantage of his drunk and heartbroken state. Kim still persistently pursued him even when Tam had made it clear he was just drunk.

Sure, they made out a lot, but that doesn't make a BL good. It was so silly and sometimes downright bad. I don't think the acting was universally bad, but the writing sucked so much that it was hard to tell. I didn't like the characters either. Rak was basically a child. This miniseries dealt with a lot of struggles adolescents go through. Each character had depth and had good and bad qualities. Only Ji Han was likable all the time, I'd say. I quite enjoyed it. The ending was a bit rushed, though. The focus wasn't only on the gay character. All characters had their own problems to solve. Plus, Ji Han did end up alone. He was happy, but still. Anyway, I would recommend watching this to see a more realistic representation of South Korea, instead of the artificial one we're so used to seeing. If you're only interested in the gay parts, you can watch episode four only. Lastly, I'd say it was a waste that Tae Woo and Ji Han didn't end up together. They had great chemistry. I don't know. It was fine. The plot was boring to me, though. It took way too long to unfold. It was also incredibly predictable. I thoroughly disliked the side couple. Xiao Li really got on my nerves. The main couple was utterly average. I didn't dislike them together, but I also didn't like them together. There just wasn't much chemistry. It was only really in the last episode I started to see a few dull sparks. I needed more couple-moments. Amber, at times, irritated me, but he was also quite cute. His subtle facial expressions were what kept me going, honestly. Erek Lin did a great job bringing the character to life. The ending was so-so. Overall, it lacked in many aspects. Mame needs to stop writing BL. She has zero knowledge of how gay relationships work. She really has to fetishize. Leo and Fiat's relationship was so unhealthy. Leo had zero personality other than being possessive and extremely dense. At one point, he said, "I want to lock you up, preventing you from seeing anyone." and, "There's a demon in my heart that could harm you at any time." He also liked to infantilize Fiat and was awful at consoling him. The fact that Fiat had been raped was somehow about him. All that said, Fiat wasn't great either, but he somehow became more likable than Leo. The excuses they made up to justify his previous behavior were unneeded, though. Maybe acknowledging that some of Fiat's actions were unjustifiable would have been better. Mame really used mental illness as a weapon/shield. Leo and Fiat's intimate scenes were awkward. They had no chemistry. Only the last one was decent. They really ended Leon and Pob's relationship like that because they wanted us to pay for a special episode, honestly. I enjoyed their presence until that. The cat thing was a lot, though. Their intimate scene was better than any of Leo and Fiat's. Leon was a little pushy, but he did respect Pob. Anyway, the acting was lacking. There were so many storylines that were over in a couple of episodes. The evil characters and their plots were laughable. The last episode had me falling asleep. First of all, the last twenty minutes were just behind the scenes. Second of all, what a waste of time. The only reason why this exists is to tease a separate series for Leon and Pob. Mame really made us pay for a teaser, essentially. We didn't even see Leon and Pob together in this. It was hard for me to get through this. Leo and Fiat's relationship is so fucked up. The movie itself was good. I was fully invested. The acting was great. The way that Sang Yeon loved Hong Yeon was so pure and precious. Whether Hong Yeon loved Sang Yeon, Hoe Jong or both, was debatable. He seemed to love Sang Yeon, but I wasn't a hundred percent sure if it was just brotherly love or not. That was a mess. The pacing and editing were so weird and confusing. The motive for the murder was ridiculous. I also dislike it when they try so hard to make you think someone is the killer that it becomes incredibly obvious they aren't. It's so overdone. The ending was more than rushed. It was pretty laughable. The acting was mostly fine, but Save, one of the main characters, seemed awkward. It didn't help that he was the only one speaking Thai. The couple had no chemistry. They had their first kiss when Jay was drunk. Then they were just boyfriends after that? It wasn't even a good kiss, and they did not convince me at all that they actually were boyfriends. It was only because they said it I knew. Overall, it was hardly a BL and not even a well-written crime drama.
There were kisses.
Happy ending.

Well, the plot was definitely different than your usual BL. I can't say it was my thing. I mean, from the very beginning, when it's about ghosts and the like, you sort of know the chance of it ending well is very small. So spoiler... The ending was bittersweet. Koichi officially died, and Mitsuru just had to accept that. I guess the entire series was about him coming to terms with it, but it was also about him falling for Koichi more and more. That part made it that much more painful not to see them end up together. I also thought the fairly light-hearted approach they took was weird. Many moments in this normally would be taken much more seriously, but they were just kind of brushed aside. I didn't know how to feel about it, to be honest. Anyway, I liked the acting. I wouldn't downright say that they had good chemistry, but it also wasn't bad. Their first kiss was shite, but the kiss in the last episode was so nice that I'll assume the first kiss only sucked because it was supposed to. Question mark? I also liked the characters. Overall... I feel conflicted. I liked certain parts of it. Knowing now how it ends, I just can't recommend it.
There were kisses.
Sad ending?

The relationship was toxic, and there was cheating. Vee should have figured out what he wanted before he got involved with Mark, and Mark shouldn't have gotten involved with Vee before Vee had ended things with his girlfriend. They both acted selfishly and stupidly. But in the good moments, they did have great chemistry. Also, War is an amazing actor. His eyes say it all.

The acting was not that great. There wasn't much chemistry, and fake twins really don't do it for me. I also felt so frustrated for Mark in that one scene where they were studying altogether.
No lip kiss.

No, no, no. The actor for Gun was especially inexperienced. His character was also just so cheesy and creepy. Everyone pretty much pushed Bar into being with Gun, and it made me feel weird.

GMM why? Theo has to be one of my least favorite BL main characters ever. I was supposed to root for that immature, manipulative, selfish little brat? He was awful. They really made Akk seem like he didn't care about Theo and that he was unworthy of Theo. There were times I didn't like Akk, like when he was being overly jealous, but he was at least a good boyfriend. Compared to Theo, he was an angel. It was so frustrating to watch Akk being treated horribly by Theo. Actually, everyone around Theo sucked. His sister and that one friend said things that made him really insecure. Akk deserved better. The story also just felt all over the place. The last two episodes were so rushed and felt like they didn't fit in. The ending was really out of place and sudden. The reveal was predictable yet disappointing. I didn't feel like all the Enchanté candidates were featured for very long. I wanted to know more about them, not Theo. Especially Natee and Saifah were much more interesting to me than anything else. The acting was mostly good. I really liked Force. His acting felt natural to me. I don't know if I just disliked Theo, and it clouded my judgment, but I think I didn't particularly enjoy Book's acting. In my opinion, they only had chemistry because of Force. He's very charming and could potentially have chemistry with most people. Anyway, at least the kisses were proper, I guess.

I don't even know what to say about this. It was so badly written. It wasn't funny or interesting. I'm not sure I fully understood the plot, or maybe there just wasn't one. The terrible writing managed to make it seem like Boun and Prem have zero chemistry. They literally went from disliking each other to being in love out of nowhere. The side couple was so unnecessary. All the characters were unlikable, really. The only good thing I can say about this is that it was short, thankfully. That said, it could have been just one episode long. I genuinely felt like I was watching the same episode every week.
No lip kiss.
Happy ending.

I mean, were they friends or more? To me, it seemed like a one-sided crush. I was pretty bored. It seemed as if they wanted us to write our own ending? That just seems lazy to me.

It was nothing spectacular. It was barely decent. There was a kiss, but it wasn't reciprocated. I think there might be a part two in the making. Hopefully, that can develop the story/relationship.
