'My Dearest Nemesis' cast share remarks as the K-drama comes to a close
The K-movie Omniscient Reader: The Prophet, starring Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, Park Ho San, Choi Young Joon, Jung Sung Il, and Kim Ji Soo, has officially confirmed its release for July 2025 and has unveiled a teaser and poster.
Based on the web novel of the same Korean name, Omniscient Reader: The Prophet follows Kim Dok Ja, a man trying to save the world that has suddenly changed to match the contents of the novel he was reading.
The teaser opens with a scene of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop) traveling in a subway train that gets stranded in the middle of Dongho Bridge, startling him. Kim Dok Ja quickly realizes that the exact events from the novel he has been reading are unfolding in real life. The apocalyptic world described in the book has seamlessly merged with reality — Dongho Bridge, which he crossed daily, crumbles, and the subway he regularly took is overturned. These sequences of destruction transform familiar everyday spaces into scenes of devastation for Kim.
Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, and Jisoo make their appearances one after another, raising anticipation for their synergy in this new world of fiction coming to life.
The poster captivates with a dynamic encounter between Kim Dok Ja and Yoo Joong Hyuk (Lee Min Ho) standing atop the collapsed Dongho Bridge. Questions arise about how Kim Dok Ja, an ordinary office worker and the only reader of a novel that no one reads, comes to face Yoo Joong Hyuk, the novel's protagonist.
