The Korean remake of the Taiwanese film Secret will possibly premiere in theaters next year.
On December 13, media outlets reported that the upcoming movie Secret: Untold Melody starring EXO's Doh Kyung Soo and Won Jin Ah will finally be released in Korean theatres in January 2025. According to reports, the movie will be released at the end of January.
Secret: Untold Melody will tell the fantasy romance of a genius pianist and a mysterious woman who was playing music in an old practice room on campus. The story will be depicted from the 2007 Taiwanese film Secret led by Gwei Lun Mei, Jay Chou, Alice Tzeng, Devon Song, Anthony Wong, and Su Ming Ming.
The upcoming movie will be led by Doh Kyung Soo, Won Jin Ah, Shin Ye Eun, Kim Wook, Bae Sung Woo, Kang Kyung Hun, and more. The film will be produced by Hive Media Corp.
Secret: Untold Melody is the work of director Seo Yoo Min who is also known for creating the films Recalled, The Last Princess, Happiness, April Snow, and more.
Doh Kyung Soo will portray the role of Yu Jun. He was a promising pianist but because of his injury, he had to give up his dream. He then returned to Korea to get treatment. He then decided to continue his studies at his father's college and there, he met a mysterious woman at an old practice room.
This will possibly be Doh Kyung Soo's first film for 2025. The idol actor will also star in the upcoming K-drama The Manipulated with Ji Chang Wook, Jo Yoon Soo, Lee Kwang Soo, Yang Dong Geun, and Pyo Ye Jin.
Won Jin Ah will portray the role of Jung A, the mysterious woman playing the piano in an old practice room. This will be the grand comeback of Won Jin Ah to the big screen. She last starred in the 2021 movie A Year-End Medley. The actress will also star in the upcoming series Child Shopping with Yeom Jung Ah, DEX, Lee Na Eun, Ahn Ji Ho, and Park Ha Jun.
