Eleventh episode started with primary flashbacks from the first ten episodes. We learned in episode 10 the picture Kim Jun was referring to was not this pic (Darn it.)

This explains the shock look on Han Young Man’s face when he opened the document (second episode). (I thought he read something, but now it’s apparent he saw something.) Han Young Man finds out he’s working for the “fake” Jo Sung Gook. So what happen to the real Jo Sung Gook?)
The actual episode starts with Detective Oh staring at an old photo of the real Jo Sung Gook. He stands in a dark alley. The bookstore owner with the deadly pen follows closely behind him. The scene quickly changes from alley to Jo Sung Gook’s private study to Kim Jun/Yi Soo hotel room.
During the first few minutes, we hear two different conversations: The first one is by Kim Jun/Han Yi Soo and the second one is with Jo Sung Gook.
KIM JUN/HAN YI SOO’S HOTEL ROOM
His mobile phone ring. The caller ID reads “Friend.” He answers the phone. The scene quickly changes to…
JO SUNG GOOK’S PRIVATE STUDY
Jo Sung Gook makes a phone call. He wants to know who gave that picture to the late Professor Kang Hee Soo. The person on the other end must have asked.“How did late Professor Kang Hee Soo get the picture?” Jo Sung Gook said he had no idea how that happened.
KIM JUN/HAN YI SOO’S HOTEL ROOM
Kim Jun is in the middle of a conversation. The friend must have told Kim Jun something is missing. The something could be the old photo Jo Sung Gook is referring to. Kim Jun said, “It might’ve fallen into the hands of Chairman Jo. We have to hope it didn’t.” The friend on the other end must have suggested that he used another tactic to get back at Jo Sung Gook. Kim Jun tells the friend, “No”. But in a split second he changes his mind.
JO SUNG GOOK’S PRIVATE STUDY
Jo Sung Gook says on the phone, “No. I don’t think we should handle this matter so lightly. How did you say Jung Man Chul was killed.” Jo Sung Gook is talking to someone who is familiar with the Jung Man Chul murder case.
ABANDONED WAREHOUSE
Detective Oh is tied and gagged in an abandoned warehouse. The bookstore owner with the deadly pen stands in front of him. A mirror faces the bookstore owner. (I guess seeing himself kill people doesn’t affect his consciousness.)
GAYA HOTEL
Gaya Hotel celebrates its 44[sup]th[/sup] anniversary. Jo Ui Sun tells the employees they can keep their jobs after the merger. Director Oh Joon Young greets Kim Jun and his assistant, Secretary Jang. Suddenly one of the Gaya employee tells Director Oh Joon Young, “Grand Blue Hotel just issued a press release.” Interesting a press release on their 44[sup]th [/sup]anniversary. It must be more good news for Gaya.
Oops that good news turned sour because Grand Blue announce they’ll merge with Giant Hotel instead. (Ouch that got to hurt the Jo Family) Kim Jun is there when Director Oh gets the bad news. He immediately asked Kim Jun to meet with him outside. Suddenly, Kim Jun receives a mobile call from “Friend”.
ABANDONED WAREHOUSE
Detective Byeon stands in front of the murder victim, Detective Oh. He has the same markings as Jang Man Chul. The red circle and puncture wounds look the same.
GAYA HOTEL
Kim Jun slowly removes his mobile phone from his ear. (This friend is on the police force). Secretary Jang stands behind. He slowly turns his head and stares at Jo Sung Gook. Jo Sung Gook notice him staring. Kim Jun slowly nods. Jo Sung Gook also nods. Hae Woo notices their gesture and wonder what was going on. Kim Jun glances at Jo Hae Woo then quickly turns his hand and blinks (Wow, if stares could talk it would say. I have nothing to say to your ***.”)
Jo Ui Sun pushes an employee aside when he hears the bad news. He walks toward Kim Jun like a toddler (learning how to walk). Jo Sung Gook notices the commotion his son is causing. He doesn’t look very happy. (Oh I feel sorry for Jo Ui Sun when they get home.)
Jo Ui Sun grabs Kim Jun by the collar and shouts, “If you’re a businessman, then act like one! Don’t use your filthy yakuza ways.”
Kim Jun kept his cool and simply said, “People are watching.” Then with a slight smug grin added, “You should act more like a true descendant of an independence fighter.”
Jo Ui Sun raised his fist to hit Kim Jun. Kim Jun did not budge. Director Oh Joon Young block the punch. He reminded Jo Ui Sun reporters are watching. Everyone watches them including Jo Hae Woo and Han Yi Hyun. Chairman Oh calls over a manager, Secretary Kim. He tells him to escort Jo Ui Sun. Jo Ui Sun pushes the guy aside and walks away.
Hae Woo stares at Kim Jun again. Kim Jun had that look again that says “I got nothing to say to your ***.”
A bellhop walks by Kim Jun. Kim Jun looks at the envelope in his hand and kept walking. The bell hop delivers the envelope to Jo Hae Woo. The envelope has a flash drive. The bellhop told her it was sent express and she should open it right now.
She found the closest computer and put it in. (Okay, this urgent matter could have waited. She was at her family’s hotel anniversary. Whatever was on that flash drive could have waited.)
She puts the flash drive in one of the hotel’s laptops. One of the employees tells her that the gala would be ten minutes later. When she opens it, she sees a videotape of her father and late Jang Man Chul. She thinks she’s the only one who could hear it. Unfortunately for the Jo Family, everyone at the gala could hear it. The gala is at a standstill. Chairman Yoshimura, Secretary Jang, and Yoshimura’s personal assistant listen carefully. Director Oh walks slowly while he listens to the videotape. Everyone found out Jo Ui Sun killed a man in a hit-and-run accident twelve years ago. Kim Jun walks back in to see the look on Jo Ui Sun’s face.
Jo Hae Woo takes out the flash drive as soon as it finished playing. The employee that told Jo Hae Woo the gala would start ten minutes later rushes into the room and snatches out the flash drive out of a second laptop. His co-worker walks behind him and asked him if he told the chief what happened.
Jo Hae Woo walks out the room. Her mobile phone rings. Her husband, Chairman Oh, tells her to go straight home.” She tries to tell him about the videotape situation. But he cuts her off and tells her, “I’ll see you at home.” She sees Kim Jun walking through the lobby. She follows behind him.
Her mobile phone rings again. This time it is Detective Kim. The news he tells her is bad. (But how bad is it?)
Kim Jun could feel Jo Hae Woo watching him. He stops at the door and dangles his shark pendant (Boy he really knows how to tease her.)
ABANDONED WAREHOUSE
Detective Byeon stares at the dead body of Detective Oh. Detective Kim asked Detective Byeon “Do you think it’s the same person who killed Jung Man Chul?” Detective Byeon doesn’t respond. (Detective Oh was working on something very important and he never told Detective Byeon the details). Detective Byeon walks away to get some fresh air. His mobile phone rings. His partner asked him if he heard what happened to CEO Jo? After he heard what happened he hits the roof of the car. (This must be frustrating. He knows Jo Family except Jo Hae Woo is involved in this, but he has no solid evidence yet. )
DIRECTOR OH’S OFFICE
Director Oh is on the phone. He wants to know “how that recording was transmitted over the speakers?” The man on the other end said he doesn’t know. Chairman Oh shouted back and said, “If you, the chief of security, don’t know, then who else would?!” He demanded the chief of security to find out how it happened and give him a report immediately.
The chief of security reported back to Director Oh. He told him there was nothing wrong with the computer, but his wife, Jo Hae Woo did use one of the computers. He told him the computer she used was not linked to the gala room so they thought it would be okay if she used it. But when they check again they realized it was linked to the gala room. (Who “accidentally” link that computer to the gala room?)
Chief of security suggested that one of the event organizers might have done it. But Director Oh wasn't convinced he told him to check the security tape and look for suspicious people.
OUTSIDE THE POLICE STATION
Jo Hae Woo sits outside the police station holding the flash drive in her hand. (Wow, she’s still mad at her dad.)
INSIDE THE POLICE STATION
Detective Byeon’s partner tells him that the murder scene looks similar to the Jang Man Chul case and now that they have an audio confession they could make Jo Ui Sun a prime suspect, but the only problem is they don’t have the actual video tape.
Suddenly Jo Hae Woo walks in the office. She has what they need – the video tape.
Detective Byeon asked her to step outside. She ignores him and said she wants to see the photos of the recent murder.
CHIEF PROSECUTOR OH
Chief Prosecutor Oh talks to either Jo Ui Sun or Jo Sung Gook about the recording. Chief Oh says “the voice recording is not enough to be used as circumstantial evidence.” Chief Oh suggested they get Director Jung involved (Who is this guy?)
JO SUNG GOOK’S PRIVATE STUDY
The conversation continues. Jo Sung Gook thanks Chief Oh for getting Director Jung involved. The incident is nothing, but a scandal. After Jo Sung Gook puts the phone down. He reminiscences about his brief encounter with Kim Jun. He wondered if Kim Jun could be Han Yi Soo.
DARK BUILDING
A tall man walks through the dark tall building. A hat hides his face. The dark building is a library.
LIBRARY
The tall man walks around upstairs. He quietly walks into the control room. The security guard reads a magazine. The man covers the security guard’s mouth with a white cloth. The tall man is Kim Jun. (What’s in the library?) The man tries to break free, but Kim Jun is too strong. The man is unconscious. Kim Jun sits at the computer and copies files from a recent date to his flash drive.
JO FAMILY MANSION
Jo Ui Sun pouted, “The recording was fabricated! It was fabricated, I tell you! It wasn’t my voice!”
His son-in-law, Director Oh Joon Young, told him. “Saying that isn’t going to resolve this problem… Meet with (the) detectives again and repeat what I said last time until [your] mouth hurts? Just get some rest today, Father.”
Mrs. Park watches Jo Ui Sun pout and complain about what happen to him and how unfair it is.
Of course, he ignores him. Jo Ui Sun wanted everyone fired including his son-in-law. (How dare they used the truth to bring him down.)
Chairman Yoshimura visits the Jo Family. He apologizes for the merger between Giant Hotel and Grand Blue Hotel. He doesn’t know how it happens (Kim Jun is working solo on this one?) He makes a proposal with Jo Sung Gook and suggest that both hotels “build a global resort hotel chain.” (Interesting, Giant teams up with two different hotel chains. I wonder how that will work out.) Jo Ui Sun doesn’t want to hear anything from Chairman Yoshimura. Jo Sung Gook said he was retired so he asked his son-in-law, Chairman Oh Joon Young, what was his thoughts on the matter? Chairman Oh said, “This is such an unexpected proposal that I think we’ll need some time to examine it.”
POLICE STATION
Detective Byeon and his partner watched the video-tape. The partner said it was enough to get Jo Ui Sun. Then he said he wondered “what made Prosecutor Jo give this to us?” (There are so many answers to that question.) Detective Byeon ignores him and orders him to have someone examined Gaya Hotel’s security tapes. Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo looks at the crime scene on her mobile phone. She quietly studies the pictures.
OUTDOOR CAFÉ
Detective Byeon drinks alone while Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo sits there without a drink. He told her she made a tough decision. She convinces herself by saying out loud that someone would eventually have done it. It was better that she did it. (Gee, she is still mad at her dad). Detective Byeon told her that people believed both Detective Jang Man Chul and Oh were killed by the same person, but Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo told him they are two different killers. She pointed out that Detective Jang Man Chul was injected with poison, but Detective Oh and Han Young Man were stabbed with a poison needle. Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo doesn’t understand why Detective Oh was murder. Then Detective Byeon told her he was investigating a picture he found at Jung’s place. Detective Byeon did not have the heart the investigation was about her great-grandfather. He changed the conversation and asked if she knew the whereabouts of Han Yi Soo. She replied no.
KIM JUN/YI SOO HOTEL’S ROOM
Kim Jun watches the video clip he copied from the library. He stares closely at the screen. He zooms in on the hand of man hiding behind the bookshelves. The man clicks a pen in his hand. Then he zooms in on the man’s face. He recognizes the man – the bookstore owner.
JO FAMILY MANSION OUTSIDE
The bookstore owner knocks on Jo Hae Woo’s car window. She was holding the shark she made for Han Yi Soo. The store owner told her, he was delivering a book to her grandfather. (Really that time of night.)
JO FAMILY MANSION
Jo Hae Woo asked her grandfather what type of book it was. (It was a very thin book). He lied and said it was a first edition. He wanted to read (umm, I haven’t seen him read one book, yet). She lied and told him she had to handle something. (It could have waited until the morning.) Her grandfather notice the worried look on her face. He suggested with a question if she had anything else to say. She obeyed and told him what she heard on the video-tape. She found out that her father, not Han Young Man, caused the hit-and-run fatal accident. Her grandfather was “shocked” to hear such news. Jo Hae Woo did her best to comfort her grandfather by telling him “You’d have to know sooner or later, so I thought it’d be better to hear it from me.” (She is the bearer of bad news.) Then he asked her this question, “Did your Father order the killing of Jung Man Chul?” (Grandpa lies very well). Then he begins asking her if she knew who did it. He wants her to tell him everything. He wants to figure out how he can help her. (Yeah, help himself).
She gets up and tells her grandfather,“We’re so lucky to have you, Grandpa.” (Wow that’s so sweet. She’ll never say that to her father.)
Ms. Park waits in the hallway. Jo Hae Woo wants to see her dad, but Mrs. Park suggested against that and told her he was sleeping. Then she asked if Kim Jun attended the Gala. She was curious because Chairman Yoshimura came by and it appears the two men are not on good terms.
Jo Hae Woo walks to her bedroom. Her husband, Director Oh Joon Young, is on the phone. He is trying to fix the mess that she cause earlier. He didn’t tell the other men of the house that she was the one who played the video-tape. He said, “I figured it wouldn’t do any good to tell them.” (What a smart man. I’m liking him more and more.)
JO SUNG GOOK’S PRIVATE STUDY
Jo Sung Gook unwrap the book. He opens it and finds the picture he was looking for. Then he burns the picture. His son, Jo Ui Sun, stands in his office half asleep. (I can only guess that Jo Sung Gook beat the crap out of him again. I figure he would get his ass kicked by Grandpa Jo because he embarrassed him and the entire Gaya staff by acting like a complete idiot. Then the video added more fuel to the flame. Sure grandpa knew about the hit-and-run, but he probably didn’t know about the bribes. Because Grandpa would have had him killed.)
NEXT DAY
The married couple, Jo Hae Woo and Oh Joon Young, walks out the mansion together. Detective Byeon and his partner wait outside to pick up Jo Ui Sun. He walks out really fast. Oh Joon Young and Jo Hae Woo were shocked to hear that father was turning himself in. Oh Joon Young wondered if he was prepared, but Jo Ui Sun said he had a lawyer waiting for him. Then he gave his daughter a nasty look.
KIM JUN/HAN YI SOO’S HOTEL ROOM
Kim Jun talks on his mobile phone to someone who knows as much as he does. (Hmm, I wonder if the friend is Detective Byeon’s old partner). He sent the library security video camera to the friend. He told him, “For 12 years, I’ve wondered who this person was (referring to the bookstore owner).
KOREAN CITY DWELLINGS
An elderly man walks out his house. Another elderly man greets him at his door and asked him if he was Professor Kim Hak Myung. The bookstore owner impersonated Detective Byeong. He asked the professor if he met Detective Oh.
POLICE STATION
Yi Hyun meets her adopted father, Detective Byeon, at the police station. She brought coffee with her. She told him she was at the gala event and heard bits and pieces of what happened. But she was confused. He comforted her with a lie and told her that the videotaped wasn’t true.
POLICE INTERROGATION ROOM
Jo Ui Sun admits that he cause the hit-and-run fatal accident, but he did not tell Han Young Man to confess. He doesn’t know why he confessed. Jo Ui Sun remained calm when Detective Byeon asked about Han Young Man. But as soon as he mentions Jang Man Chul his attitude immediately changed. His lawyer notice Jo Ui Sun getting agitated and interrupted by saying “Please refrain from asking him questions for which there is no concrete evidence.”
SPLIT SCENE – POLICE STATION/JUICE SHOP
Detective Byeon calls Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo on her mobile phone. He tells her that her father confess to the hit-and-run fatal accident, but not the murder. He asked her if she convinced him to confess. She said her grandfather did. Then he asked her how much did she tell her grandfather. She told him she only mention the hit-and-run accident. (Good question, Detective Byeon makes sure she doesn’t tell her grandpa anything.)
JUICE SHOP
Yi Hyun carries Jo Hae Woo’s juice to her table. She sits down to chat a bit. They make small talk, then Yi Hyun asked about the tall man with her husband, Oh Joon Young. She told Jo Hae Woo she met him a few times at the juice shop. She wanted to know his name. Jo Hae Woo told her it was Kim Jun. Yi Hyun said it did not fit him.
HOTEL LOBBY
Mrs. Park came to give Kim Jun a present. She packed him some homemade side dishes. He stood there in silence while she said, “I figured it’d be hard for you to eat homemade food if you live alone. So I brought some. Just think of it as a nosy old lady’s way of showing concern for others and accept it.” She hands it to me. He is filled with so much emotion that she had to grab his hand and place it on the gift. Secretary Jang immediately took it away and put it in his refrigerator (At this moment, Kim Jun was probably thinking she must know I'm Han Yi Soo.)
CITY STREET IN FRONT OF HOTEL
Dong Soo runs over to meet Mrs. Park. He was happy to see her and told her that he can deliver things to Kim Jun. She told him she had to do that herself. Then she asked him. If Kim Jun contacted him first for the job. Dong Soo said that the secretary did. Then he reminded her that she asked the same question before. (I understand Mrs. Park. There are other well-qualified men out there how did he get the job.)
HISTORY HALL ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS
Detective Byeon knocks on an office door. Out of nowhere, Jo Hae Woo shows up and meets Detective Byeon at the closed door. He asked her what was she doing there? She told him she had some free time and decided to visit. (Her idea of free time is awful. She needs to spend more time with her husband, Oh Joon Young) Detective Byeon could only say one word it was “Oh” (He also gave her a strange look and turn his hand. His look said, “Really you want to spend time with me on your day off. Something is wrong with you.”)
HOTEL PRIVATE CONFERENCE ROOM
Jo Sung Gook tells Director Oh that a press conference will begin soon. He will take the blame for his son’s sins. Director Oh suggested he do the press conference. But Jo Sung Gook refuse his offer because he needed to correct his son’s sins.
PROFESSOR OFFICE
Detective Byeon and Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo met with the Professor Kim Hak Myung. The Professor kept staring at Detective Byeon’s card. The detective asked was there something wrong. The professor told him a man name Detective Byeon stopped by his house and asked him questions about Detective Oh. Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo asked how old was the impersonator? He told her about 50 years old. She was stunned he wasn’t a young man. (Well she can scratch Kim Jun off that list). Detective Byeon asked another question, ”What did Detective Oh want?” He told him that he wanted to see a picture of the independent fighter, Jo In Suk. Jo In Suk is the father of Chairman Jo Sung Gook. The look on Detective Byeon face said “why you had to say that in front of her. Now she knows her grandfather could be involved in whatever this mess is?”)
PRESS CONFERENCE
Cameras are flashing. Reporters are typing. Jo Sung Gook states the facts of the events that happened 12 years older.
PROFESSOR OFFICE
The professor tells him that they do not have any pictures Jo In Suk family because it was burned in a fire. (Wait a minute stop everything. This sounds familiar. Chairman Yoshimura said his father lost everything in a fire when he was young and that’s why he went to Japan. Hmm I wonder if ….)
SPLIT SCENE KIM JUN HOTEL ROOM/JO SUNG GOOK PRIVATE STUDY
Kim Jun called Jo Sung Gook to“thank” him for his courage. He knows fully well that Jo Sung Gook is behind everything. Jo Sung Gook knows that Kim Jun is a strong and resourceful competitor.
BAR
Secretary Jang and Chairman Yoshimura sit at a bar. He tells her that Jo Sung Gook always surprises him. He decided to stay just to see what will happen next.
PROSECUTOR JO OFFICE
Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo gets ready to leave when Detective Kim brings in the videotapes from the Gaya Hotel. She immediately puts her stuff down and returns to work. He told her that they found nothing on the videotapes and the person who delivered the flash drive was wearing a helmet. She puts the flash drive in and immediately finds the scene with Kim Jun leaving the hotel. She notices something dangling from his hand. She zooms in. It was a shark necklace. She knows Kim Jun must be Han Yi Soo. Detective Kim asked her was there anything wrong.
KIM JUN’S HOTEL ROOM
Jo Hae Woo stands outside his door. He can see her image. He takes a few pain killers. He asked her what was she doing there at the time day. She said she had to tell him something. He asked her to come in. Burt she touches her ring to remind her not to enter his home. He saw what she did. (He knows she is weak, but she held her ground.)
PARK OUTSIDE
He asked her what does she want to talk about. She said, “Yi Soo stop this. Please stop this.” His eyes begin to water. He lies and said, “I don’t know what you’re saying. I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Then she tries to persuade him by saying, “Tell me everything you know. We can resolve this in a fair and proper manner. We must. We have to.”
Then his tears dried a little and he responded, “Like the powerful saying, this society isn’t fair. It was never fair.”
She tries to get on his side by telling him she knows why he choose that path.
He replied with slight anger,“Don’t’ say that you know when you really don’t. And it doesn’t matter if you know or not. What matter is whether you can prove it.”
Prove he is Han Yi Soo.
Then she becomes righteous and tells him that he is no different than the other sleazy people (her grandfather included).
He said, “If you want to stop me… you’ll have to follow me to hell.”
She replied, “If I can only find the Han Yi Soo I know and not Kim Jun. I can follow you all the way to the depths of hell.”

Detective Byeon stands in front of the murder victim, Detective Oh. He has the same markings as Jang Man Chul. The red circle and puncture wounds look the same.
GAYA HOTEL
Kim Jun slowly removes his mobile phone from his ear. (This friend is on the police force). Secretary Jang stands behind. He slowly turns his head and stares at Jo Sung Gook. Jo Sung Gook notice him staring. Kim Jun slowly nods. Jo Sung Gook also nods. Hae Woo notices their gesture and wonder what was going on. Kim Jun glances at Jo Hae Woo then quickly turns his hand and blinks (Wow, if stares could talk it would say. I have nothing to say to your ***.”)
Jo Ui Sun pushes an employee aside when he hears the bad news. He walks toward Kim Jun like a toddler (learning how to walk). Jo Sung Gook notices the commotion his son is causing. He doesn’t look very happy. (Oh I feel sorry for Jo Ui Sun when they get home.)
Jo Ui Sun grabs Kim Jun by the collar and shouts, “If you’re a businessman, then act like one! Don’t use your filthy yakuza ways.”
Kim Jun kept his cool and simply said, “People are watching.” Then with a slight smug grin added, “You should act more like a true descendant of an independence fighter.”
Jo Ui Sun raised his fist to hit Kim Jun. Kim Jun did not budge. Director Oh Joon Young block the punch. He reminded Jo Ui Sun reporters are watching. Everyone watches them including Jo Hae Woo and Han Yi Hyun. Chairman Oh calls over a manager, Secretary Kim. He tells him to escort Jo Ui Sun. Jo Ui Sun pushes the guy aside and walks away.
Hae Woo stares at Kim Jun again. Kim Jun had that look again that says “I got nothing to say to your ***.”
A bellhop walks by Kim Jun. Kim Jun looks at the envelope in his hand and kept walking. The bell hop delivers the envelope to Jo Hae Woo. The envelope has a flash drive. The bellhop told her it was sent express and she should open it right now.
She found the closest computer and put it in. (Okay, this urgent matter could have waited. She was at her family’s hotel anniversary. Whatever was on that flash drive could have waited.)
She puts the flash drive in one of the hotel’s laptops. One of the employees tells her that the gala would be ten minutes later. When she opens it, she sees a videotape of her father and late Jang Man Chul. She thinks she’s the only one who could hear it. Unfortunately for the Jo Family, everyone at the gala could hear it. The gala is at a standstill. Chairman Yoshimura, Secretary Jang, and Yoshimura’s personal assistant listen carefully. Director Oh walks slowly while he listens to the videotape. Everyone found out Jo Ui Sun killed a man in a hit-and-run accident twelve years ago. Kim Jun walks back in to see the look on Jo Ui Sun’s face.
Jo Hae Woo takes out the flash drive as soon as it finished playing. The employee that told Jo Hae Woo the gala would start ten minutes later rushes into the room and snatches out the flash drive out of a second laptop. His co-worker walks behind him and asked him if he told the chief what happened.
Jo Hae Woo walks out the room. Her mobile phone rings. Her husband, Chairman Oh, tells her to go straight home.” She tries to tell him about the videotape situation. But he cuts her off and tells her, “I’ll see you at home.” She sees Kim Jun walking through the lobby. She follows behind him.
Her mobile phone rings again. This time it is Detective Kim. The news he tells her is bad. (But how bad is it?)
Kim Jun could feel Jo Hae Woo watching him. He stops at the door and dangles his shark pendant (Boy he really knows how to tease her.)
ABANDONED WAREHOUSE
Detective Byeon stares at the dead body of Detective Oh. Detective Kim asked Detective Byeon “Do you think it’s the same person who killed Jung Man Chul?” Detective Byeon doesn’t respond. (Detective Oh was working on something very important and he never told Detective Byeon the details). Detective Byeon walks away to get some fresh air. His mobile phone rings. His partner asked him if he heard what happened to CEO Jo? After he heard what happened he hits the roof of the car. (This must be frustrating. He knows Jo Family except Jo Hae Woo is involved in this, but he has no solid evidence yet. )
DIRECTOR OH’S OFFICE
Director Oh is on the phone. He wants to know “how that recording was transmitted over the speakers?” The man on the other end said he doesn’t know. Chairman Oh shouted back and said, “If you, the chief of security, don’t know, then who else would?!” He demanded the chief of security to find out how it happened and give him a report immediately.
The chief of security reported back to Director Oh. He told him there was nothing wrong with the computer, but his wife, Jo Hae Woo did use one of the computers. He told him the computer she used was not linked to the gala room so they thought it would be okay if she used it. But when they check again they realized it was linked to the gala room. (Who “accidentally” link that computer to the gala room?)
Chief of security suggested that one of the event organizers might have done it. But Director Oh wasn't convinced he told him to check the security tape and look for suspicious people.
OUTSIDE THE POLICE STATION
Jo Hae Woo sits outside the police station holding the flash drive in her hand. (Wow, she’s still mad at her dad.)
INSIDE THE POLICE STATION
Detective Byeon’s partner tells him that the murder scene looks similar to the Jang Man Chul case and now that they have an audio confession they could make Jo Ui Sun a prime suspect, but the only problem is they don’t have the actual video tape.
Suddenly Jo Hae Woo walks in the office. She has what they need – the video tape.
Detective Byeon asked her to step outside. She ignores him and said she wants to see the photos of the recent murder.
CHIEF PROSECUTOR OH
Chief Prosecutor Oh talks to either Jo Ui Sun or Jo Sung Gook about the recording. Chief Oh says “the voice recording is not enough to be used as circumstantial evidence.” Chief Oh suggested they get Director Jung involved (Who is this guy?)
JO SUNG GOOK’S PRIVATE STUDY
The conversation continues. Jo Sung Gook thanks Chief Oh for getting Director Jung involved. The incident is nothing, but a scandal. After Jo Sung Gook puts the phone down. He reminiscences about his brief encounter with Kim Jun. He wondered if Kim Jun could be Han Yi Soo.
DARK BUILDING
A tall man walks through the dark tall building. A hat hides his face. The dark building is a library.
LIBRARY
The tall man walks around upstairs. He quietly walks into the control room. The security guard reads a magazine. The man covers the security guard’s mouth with a white cloth. The tall man is Kim Jun. (What’s in the library?) The man tries to break free, but Kim Jun is too strong. The man is unconscious. Kim Jun sits at the computer and copies files from a recent date to his flash drive.
JO FAMILY MANSION
Jo Ui Sun pouted, “The recording was fabricated! It was fabricated, I tell you! It wasn’t my voice!”
His son-in-law, Director Oh Joon Young, told him. “Saying that isn’t going to resolve this problem… Meet with (the) detectives again and repeat what I said last time until [your] mouth hurts? Just get some rest today, Father.”
Mrs. Park watches Jo Ui Sun pout and complain about what happen to him and how unfair it is.
Of course, he ignores him. Jo Ui Sun wanted everyone fired including his son-in-law. (How dare they used the truth to bring him down.)
Chairman Yoshimura visits the Jo Family. He apologizes for the merger between Giant Hotel and Grand Blue Hotel. He doesn’t know how it happens (Kim Jun is working solo on this one?) He makes a proposal with Jo Sung Gook and suggest that both hotels “build a global resort hotel chain.” (Interesting, Giant teams up with two different hotel chains. I wonder how that will work out.) Jo Ui Sun doesn’t want to hear anything from Chairman Yoshimura. Jo Sung Gook said he was retired so he asked his son-in-law, Chairman Oh Joon Young, what was his thoughts on the matter? Chairman Oh said, “This is such an unexpected proposal that I think we’ll need some time to examine it.”
POLICE STATION
Detective Byeon and his partner watched the video-tape. The partner said it was enough to get Jo Ui Sun. Then he said he wondered “what made Prosecutor Jo give this to us?” (There are so many answers to that question.) Detective Byeon ignores him and orders him to have someone examined Gaya Hotel’s security tapes. Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo looks at the crime scene on her mobile phone. She quietly studies the pictures.
OUTDOOR CAFÉ
Detective Byeon drinks alone while Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo sits there without a drink. He told her she made a tough decision. She convinces herself by saying out loud that someone would eventually have done it. It was better that she did it. (Gee, she is still mad at her dad). Detective Byeon told her that people believed both Detective Jang Man Chul and Oh were killed by the same person, but Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo told him they are two different killers. She pointed out that Detective Jang Man Chul was injected with poison, but Detective Oh and Han Young Man were stabbed with a poison needle. Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo doesn’t understand why Detective Oh was murder. Then Detective Byeon told her he was investigating a picture he found at Jung’s place. Detective Byeon did not have the heart the investigation was about her great-grandfather. He changed the conversation and asked if she knew the whereabouts of Han Yi Soo. She replied no.
KIM JUN/YI SOO HOTEL’S ROOM
Kim Jun watches the video clip he copied from the library. He stares closely at the screen. He zooms in on the hand of man hiding behind the bookshelves. The man clicks a pen in his hand. Then he zooms in on the man’s face. He recognizes the man – the bookstore owner.
JO FAMILY MANSION OUTSIDE
The bookstore owner knocks on Jo Hae Woo’s car window. She was holding the shark she made for Han Yi Soo. The store owner told her, he was delivering a book to her grandfather. (Really that time of night.)
JO FAMILY MANSION
Jo Hae Woo asked her grandfather what type of book it was. (It was a very thin book). He lied and said it was a first edition. He wanted to read (umm, I haven’t seen him read one book, yet). She lied and told him she had to handle something. (It could have waited until the morning.) Her grandfather notice the worried look on her face. He suggested with a question if she had anything else to say. She obeyed and told him what she heard on the video-tape. She found out that her father, not Han Young Man, caused the hit-and-run fatal accident. Her grandfather was “shocked” to hear such news. Jo Hae Woo did her best to comfort her grandfather by telling him “You’d have to know sooner or later, so I thought it’d be better to hear it from me.” (She is the bearer of bad news.) Then he asked her this question, “Did your Father order the killing of Jung Man Chul?” (Grandpa lies very well). Then he begins asking her if she knew who did it. He wants her to tell him everything. He wants to figure out how he can help her. (Yeah, help himself).
She gets up and tells her grandfather,“We’re so lucky to have you, Grandpa.” (Wow that’s so sweet. She’ll never say that to her father.)
Ms. Park waits in the hallway. Jo Hae Woo wants to see her dad, but Mrs. Park suggested against that and told her he was sleeping. Then she asked if Kim Jun attended the Gala. She was curious because Chairman Yoshimura came by and it appears the two men are not on good terms.
Jo Hae Woo walks to her bedroom. Her husband, Director Oh Joon Young, is on the phone. He is trying to fix the mess that she cause earlier. He didn’t tell the other men of the house that she was the one who played the video-tape. He said, “I figured it wouldn’t do any good to tell them.” (What a smart man. I’m liking him more and more.)
JO SUNG GOOK’S PRIVATE STUDY
Jo Sung Gook unwrap the book. He opens it and finds the picture he was looking for. Then he burns the picture. His son, Jo Ui Sun, stands in his office half asleep. (I can only guess that Jo Sung Gook beat the crap out of him again. I figure he would get his ass kicked by Grandpa Jo because he embarrassed him and the entire Gaya staff by acting like a complete idiot. Then the video added more fuel to the flame. Sure grandpa knew about the hit-and-run, but he probably didn’t know about the bribes. Because Grandpa would have had him killed.)
NEXT DAY
The married couple, Jo Hae Woo and Oh Joon Young, walks out the mansion together. Detective Byeon and his partner wait outside to pick up Jo Ui Sun. He walks out really fast. Oh Joon Young and Jo Hae Woo were shocked to hear that father was turning himself in. Oh Joon Young wondered if he was prepared, but Jo Ui Sun said he had a lawyer waiting for him. Then he gave his daughter a nasty look.
KIM JUN/HAN YI SOO’S HOTEL ROOM
Kim Jun talks on his mobile phone to someone who knows as much as he does. (Hmm, I wonder if the friend is Detective Byeon’s old partner). He sent the library security video camera to the friend. He told him, “For 12 years, I’ve wondered who this person was (referring to the bookstore owner).
KOREAN CITY DWELLINGS
An elderly man walks out his house. Another elderly man greets him at his door and asked him if he was Professor Kim Hak Myung. The bookstore owner impersonated Detective Byeong. He asked the professor if he met Detective Oh.
POLICE STATION
Yi Hyun meets her adopted father, Detective Byeon, at the police station. She brought coffee with her. She told him she was at the gala event and heard bits and pieces of what happened. But she was confused. He comforted her with a lie and told her that the videotaped wasn’t true.
POLICE INTERROGATION ROOM
Jo Ui Sun admits that he cause the hit-and-run fatal accident, but he did not tell Han Young Man to confess. He doesn’t know why he confessed. Jo Ui Sun remained calm when Detective Byeon asked about Han Young Man. But as soon as he mentions Jang Man Chul his attitude immediately changed. His lawyer notice Jo Ui Sun getting agitated and interrupted by saying “Please refrain from asking him questions for which there is no concrete evidence.”
SPLIT SCENE – POLICE STATION/JUICE SHOP
Detective Byeon calls Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo on her mobile phone. He tells her that her father confess to the hit-and-run fatal accident, but not the murder. He asked her if she convinced him to confess. She said her grandfather did. Then he asked her how much did she tell her grandfather. She told him she only mention the hit-and-run accident. (Good question, Detective Byeon makes sure she doesn’t tell her grandpa anything.)
JUICE SHOP
Yi Hyun carries Jo Hae Woo’s juice to her table. She sits down to chat a bit. They make small talk, then Yi Hyun asked about the tall man with her husband, Oh Joon Young. She told Jo Hae Woo she met him a few times at the juice shop. She wanted to know his name. Jo Hae Woo told her it was Kim Jun. Yi Hyun said it did not fit him.
HOTEL LOBBY
Mrs. Park came to give Kim Jun a present. She packed him some homemade side dishes. He stood there in silence while she said, “I figured it’d be hard for you to eat homemade food if you live alone. So I brought some. Just think of it as a nosy old lady’s way of showing concern for others and accept it.” She hands it to me. He is filled with so much emotion that she had to grab his hand and place it on the gift. Secretary Jang immediately took it away and put it in his refrigerator (At this moment, Kim Jun was probably thinking she must know I'm Han Yi Soo.)
CITY STREET IN FRONT OF HOTEL
Dong Soo runs over to meet Mrs. Park. He was happy to see her and told her that he can deliver things to Kim Jun. She told him she had to do that herself. Then she asked him. If Kim Jun contacted him first for the job. Dong Soo said that the secretary did. Then he reminded her that she asked the same question before. (I understand Mrs. Park. There are other well-qualified men out there how did he get the job.)
HISTORY HALL ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS
Detective Byeon knocks on an office door. Out of nowhere, Jo Hae Woo shows up and meets Detective Byeon at the closed door. He asked her what was she doing there? She told him she had some free time and decided to visit. (Her idea of free time is awful. She needs to spend more time with her husband, Oh Joon Young) Detective Byeon could only say one word it was “Oh” (He also gave her a strange look and turn his hand. His look said, “Really you want to spend time with me on your day off. Something is wrong with you.”)
HOTEL PRIVATE CONFERENCE ROOM
Jo Sung Gook tells Director Oh that a press conference will begin soon. He will take the blame for his son’s sins. Director Oh suggested he do the press conference. But Jo Sung Gook refuse his offer because he needed to correct his son’s sins.
PROFESSOR OFFICE
Detective Byeon and Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo met with the Professor Kim Hak Myung. The Professor kept staring at Detective Byeon’s card. The detective asked was there something wrong. The professor told him a man name Detective Byeon stopped by his house and asked him questions about Detective Oh. Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo asked how old was the impersonator? He told her about 50 years old. She was stunned he wasn’t a young man. (Well she can scratch Kim Jun off that list). Detective Byeon asked another question, ”What did Detective Oh want?” He told him that he wanted to see a picture of the independent fighter, Jo In Suk. Jo In Suk is the father of Chairman Jo Sung Gook. The look on Detective Byeon face said “why you had to say that in front of her. Now she knows her grandfather could be involved in whatever this mess is?”)
PRESS CONFERENCE
Cameras are flashing. Reporters are typing. Jo Sung Gook states the facts of the events that happened 12 years older.
PROFESSOR OFFICE
The professor tells him that they do not have any pictures Jo In Suk family because it was burned in a fire. (Wait a minute stop everything. This sounds familiar. Chairman Yoshimura said his father lost everything in a fire when he was young and that’s why he went to Japan. Hmm I wonder if ….)
SPLIT SCENE KIM JUN HOTEL ROOM/JO SUNG GOOK PRIVATE STUDY
Kim Jun called Jo Sung Gook to“thank” him for his courage. He knows fully well that Jo Sung Gook is behind everything. Jo Sung Gook knows that Kim Jun is a strong and resourceful competitor.
BAR
Secretary Jang and Chairman Yoshimura sit at a bar. He tells her that Jo Sung Gook always surprises him. He decided to stay just to see what will happen next.
PROSECUTOR JO OFFICE
Prosecutor Jo Hae Woo gets ready to leave when Detective Kim brings in the videotapes from the Gaya Hotel. She immediately puts her stuff down and returns to work. He told her that they found nothing on the videotapes and the person who delivered the flash drive was wearing a helmet. She puts the flash drive in and immediately finds the scene with Kim Jun leaving the hotel. She notices something dangling from his hand. She zooms in. It was a shark necklace. She knows Kim Jun must be Han Yi Soo. Detective Kim asked her was there anything wrong.
KIM JUN’S HOTEL ROOM
Jo Hae Woo stands outside his door. He can see her image. He takes a few pain killers. He asked her what was she doing there at the time day. She said she had to tell him something. He asked her to come in. Burt she touches her ring to remind her not to enter his home. He saw what she did. (He knows she is weak, but she held her ground.)
PARK OUTSIDE
He asked her what does she want to talk about. She said, “Yi Soo stop this. Please stop this.” His eyes begin to water. He lies and said, “I don’t know what you’re saying. I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Then she tries to persuade him by saying, “Tell me everything you know. We can resolve this in a fair and proper manner. We must. We have to.”
Then his tears dried a little and he responded, “Like the powerful saying, this society isn’t fair. It was never fair.”
She tries to get on his side by telling him she knows why he choose that path.
He replied with slight anger,“Don’t’ say that you know when you really don’t. And it doesn’t matter if you know or not. What matter is whether you can prove it.”
Prove he is Han Yi Soo.
Then she becomes righteous and tells him that he is no different than the other sleazy people (her grandfather included).
He said, “If you want to stop me… you’ll have to follow me to hell.”
She replied, “If I can only find the Han Yi Soo I know and not Kim Jun. I can follow you all the way to the depths of hell.”
