The Producers (2015)

and I think many of the people behind the dramas are the same.

Both of them are about the entertainment industry and the difficulties and problems that can occur in life of managers, clients and agencies.

Shows how things are behind the scenes making and producing dramas and tv shows. They're also both made with interesting story lines not boring at all.

Both actually have my favorite trope, the "film a variety show inside the drama and have the producer fall for her/his subject"

It kinda feels forbidden, like breaking the 4th wall and have the person behind the camera fall the person infront of the camera. But if it wasn't a drama, would never know about this cute little bts

Both center around show production and have a idol cast member (Siwon). While Producers centers around variety. The King Of Dramas centers around the production of drama and the relationship between cast members, writers, producers and ratings.

They are similar in the way that they try to realistically portray the working lives of the main characters . The friendship (only 2 in the producers) & relationships are also similar. Overall, both are slice of life shows without exaggerating or being over the top.

Both dramas are about PDs and their daily lives both at work and their relationships outside. Both are comedies and you can see some romance between the co-workers.

Two best friends start living together and realizes their feelings for each other.

the concept of the drama is similar although the story is different to that of the producers. Producers covers the story of 3 producers and a celebrity in the form of a documentary of sort.

Pontifex Rembrary, a character known for his divine powers, gets transported to a new world while fighting a devil. He possesses the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of an unpopular idol group, and helps turn the group's fortunes around after a disastrous live performance. With his charisma and divine powers, he becomes popular among fans but faces challenges from his past, contending with strange religious groups and the devil.

Both dramas feel similar, in concept, the way they were shot and produced (documentary-like).

The Producers tried to focus more on the "the behind the scenes" aspect of producing a tv-show, while Our Beloved Summer focused more on how to film a documentary about random people, and of course mainly the romantic relationship between the leads (which is way more interesting in OBS)
In both dramas there's an idol whose sole purpose is the same (even though they have opposite tempers), to show us some hardships of an idol life : no friends, no real free time, dealing with fans and anti-fans, no privacy... AND to have their first impossible and one-sided crush on the ML !
If you liked The Producers, you'll probably enjoy Our Beloved Summer, I don't know about the other way around

I think one of the main female characters in this drama has similar characteristics to the main female character in Queen of Tears

Both YG and the Producers have a mockumentary, Office-style. The Producers steps away from it after the first couple episodes for more of a standard drama, but YG is mockumentary all the way. Both are also full of cameos from the entertainment industry (YG's mostly being YG artists).

The major difference is that YG has no actual plot or romance, where The Producers is an actual drama. YG is just random comedy; each episode almost feels like skits.
